Different anon but my main gripe with post time skip is that the character development has stagnated for the other crewmates which is usually why you do a timeskip, to allow the characters to develop more.

Enies lobby was amazing at developing the crew followed by thriller bark which was great for brook, and the impel down and whitebeard war arcs had the excuse that the crew was seperated from luffy. But since then only the side characters have had major character development and it annoys me because theres a distinctive visual change in the crew but no change in personality

Robins becoming more open with her emotions.

Luffy is being treated more like a captain, the crew members now actually ask his permission to do things.

Nami showed her motherly instincts with wanting to protect the kids on Punk Hazard.

Sanji saved Kinemon (a male of all things) and can use his haki to sense the tears of women (Tashigi and Violet).

Zoro is doing more first mate things like telling Luffy to be more serious. Enjoying going with Luffys antics when Luffy carries him, not letting Pica go anywhere near his captain.

Choppers development was also with the Punk Hazard children, and also the Minks. Proving his doctor prowess and empathetic nature. He's also willing to become more of a monster just for Luffy now, something that hated being in the past.

Brook is demonstrating more loyalty, hell he ditched his music career for the Strawhats. His love of art saved them from Jora and it showed his quick wits.

Usopp is being more true to himself, against Trebol and Sugar he loudly exclaimed he was the sniper of the Strawhat pirates, he didn't lie about being the captain or Sogeking. That's also why he developed haki since according to Rayleigh's quote on haki, the act of not doubting is a form of strength. Therefore one can interpret Usopp hiding behinds Sogekings mask as a form of doubt, and because h didn't use it this time he developed observation haki.

Franky has changed from an underground gangster into someone wanting to help complete strangers like the dwarfs. Hell when he passed out in Dressrosa he was completely putting his faith into Luffy (via his thoughts). When has Franky ever explicited such faith in his captain?

Kaido just dropped down from the sky in front of a bunch of people he doesn't know. He had no reason to start interrogating them.
It's more likely that Kidd attacked him immediately, thinking that they have the fighting power to take on a yonkou. He likely got greedy and went for the first one even though this wasn't the yonkou they were looking for.
