A cute girl feels the urge to do cute things with a cute girl.

Unable to do cute things, she is gifted with by cute ex machina with the cute girl's thing. Never minding the strange thing, she immediately does cute things, and is overjoyed to find out that cute girl wants to do cute things as well.

But, the next day, when she recounts the previous day's cute things done with the cute girl, she only looks at her with a uncute expression. After some investigation, she finds out that the cute girl she did cute things with is not the same cute girl she originally wanted to do cute things with. In fact, she doesn't want to do cute things in this universe at all. She is the girl's alternate universe counterpart, who wants to do cute things with the MC's own alternate universe cute self, who too is blissfully unaware of her desire to do cute things.

Hijinks ensue as the two strike up a deal to give each other their cutest, most private things in order to equip the other with cute things they need to do cute things with their other cute selves. While the two do cute things with their alternate universe cute girls, NOTHING ensues as they begin to feel desire to do cute things with each other instead and question the NATURE of MOE.

I also used to think that music was not that great but after I got into the relaxing/feel good theme of the show I begin to like it. Like someone else said it the girls never become super stars, or become idols they are just a group of friends that play on a highschool band so if you think about it their music is pretty good for what they are.


Even Azusa admits that there are plenty of bands better than HTT but is the honest, kind, fun feeling that attracted her to the band

Honestly I would had dropped the show if it had turned into the story of some high schoolers becoming rockstars instead of the lighthearted comedy we get.

The music isn't mind-blowing but it's fairly good for what it is. It was not, in fact, composed by high school girls but pros with the intention of selling CDs, so it wouldn't be nearly as shitty as that.

Most of the songs were composed by
Hiroyuki Maezawa (all the EDs, Fuwa Fuwa Time, Curry Nochi Rice, U&I, Pure Pure Heart, Tokimeki Sugar, he also composed the first Hidamari Sketch OP, Sketch Switch)
Tom-H@ck (all the OPs, Fuyu no Hi, vast majority of the character songs, also composed the first two Yama no Susume OPs)

I am more likely to listen to some of their side songs than to rewatch the show.
One has aged okay the other I can't understand anymore despite having a warm nostalgia for.
