Not actually salty, it's a cute show that deserves subs, and no one competent is doing it.

I watched Precure S1 like over a year and a half ago now or something, and I've been thinking I should make an effort to watch at least one episode a day so I can at least be caught up to the latest series in 2 years or so, would this be a good idea or should I just not bother.

Or are you perfectly happy just seeing the bits you like, not struggling through the more difficult parts, and just going back when you feel like it?

I'd guess that if you have to force yourself to watch, you're probably not enjoying it as much. Why don't you try out some of the other seasons to see whether it feels a little more effortless?
