is this the new valvrave?
>No more hilarious mecha shows like Valverave again.
It's not even good. Samurai mechs... 3D samurai mechs. With laser katana.
And literally half of episode 1 was the main girl taking a trip to her mum's workplace to deliver the phone that she forgot.
>Grunt Suits are actually useful
>judging a 2 cour series by the 1st episode
guy looks like the sea god and the girl looks like Miuna
PA works is the new sameface one artstyle studio
The CG parts are pretty stiff but the handdrawn one look pretty good, then again it's the first episode.
>nah is the new Argevollen
>said the same thing in the Cerberus thread
Is this some pathetic attempt at starting a meme or do you legitimately think any show that doesn't have SnK or Gundam tier popularity is Argevollen?
They will probably do it when the BDs get released
Maybe it's time to ask him.
Does this mean they delay the first episode there and the rest will air at the same time as the tv versions or will they delay every fucking episode now? I have no idea how Netflix works so this is probably a retarded question.
>Was Logos any good?
Best anime of the decade
Someone can, but then again the Spanish version went up not too long after the raw version went online, so there has been more than enough time for someone to do so. Yet here we are, spamming the refresh/update button filled with the false hope that someone will eventually get off their arse and actually translate it. Plus, the quality of a English subbed version that was translated from a Spanish dubbed version would be questionable, it would be like playing telephone but instead of people relaying the message it's languages.
I agree with you on that, the whole reason this isn't subbed in English yet is because they decided to announce that it will only stream from Netflix less than 12 hours before it aired on TV. And the English fansub community is apparently nonexistent.
All the fan sub groups are inactive or busy subbing stuff that has already been subbed, so I guess your our best shot. Unless by some miracle one of the many, many foreign fansub groups that have subbed it already decided to do an English sub just for fun.
It's not that it's too much work, it's just more I'm trying to get a consensus out of whoever's on the thread so I can just say, 'you decided what you want'
But it seems nobody wants honorifics so I'm fine with that
Well it just seems like it's one person either way. Whatever you prefer senpai would be best. I personally prefer them until there is some consensus to confer to same information using english.
>All this UN propaganda
This show better end with the UN being either useless or crashing and burning like it usually does
Ok faggots I was trying to avoid watching this shit but I feel bad for you nerds not getting your stupid subs. Somebody yesterday pointed out that there are Spanish subs out, and wanted someone to translate them. So here I am, I can do Spanish-English and even know a little of Japanese to correct any mistakes if I find any. But I can't time and mux shit so if someone wants to help with formatting the subs then hit me up at [email protected], I'll be working on the translation in the meantime.
I only saw part of the first half and raw (obviously) but I felt it was very pleasant to watch. The atmosphere was very nice. There was even one pretty funny part that I could get without really knowing Japanese.
Afro best girl
Maybe by having the chick be the one who's introduced first she can actually fucking do something instead of just getting pushed around by the plot and saying that we musn't fight and getting kidnapped
No since they still haven't listed how many BD/DVD volumes this is going to be although this is replacing Active Raid timeslot so chance are this is either 1 cour or split cour unless they moved Active Raid S2 on Summer to another timeslot.
That and sometimes the sections I had to translate went a tad too fast so they were a bit incomprehensible.
I improvised when that happened using what words I could make out and what the situation was. I'll mark the sections with asterisks where I was forced to improvise.
It's not uncommon to see studios outsourcing to eachother, they don't even have to be "friends", but PA Works and Bones probably have a good relationship. Masahiro Ando for example directs a lot for both studios. In this case, the director of Kuromukuro, Tensai Okamura, is behind famous Bones shows like Darker Than Black and Wolf's Rain.
Oh fuck I'm done. (Minus Karaoke)
I'll put in the karaoke but at least the bulk is done.
Go ahead editors. Have the raws with you while you're looking at them
There was someone who said they'd do it, but I don't know where he is now.
Anyways, someone's looking over the script now so just wait a little bit. He should give the edited script out soon
I'm just starting timing now because he seems to have vanished. One obvious thing I want to confirm.
>That’s not it okay? Moreover, the current plan to immigrate to Mars is a possibility with today’s… Hm? Is that yours?
That's supposed to be "isn't," right?
Okay, I'm not sure how that fits with the next line, since it sounds like an admonishment from her mom (Think more about humanity here), but I guess that's the script's problem and not yours.
Someone actually remembers Argevollen...
To be fair we are kind of spoilt these days, not too long ago we had to wait weeks for subs. "speed subs" were cancer and came as a result of fansubbers pulling an allnighter with 3 weeks of Japanese knowledge and textbooks
If only the remaining fansub groups weren't a bunch of retards focusing on shows that already get a decent CR release. There are a bunch of shows not getting subs or they are stuck with FUNIcancer.
But muh botnets.
Whatever, I'm using it. ETA two hours, courtesy of my shitty internet. Sorry about that, I haven't uploaded in a while and didn't think it would be this bad.
Actually, what the fuck am I doing? Here's the sub file, so you can mux it yourselves and not wait.
Timed to Leopard.
Big mecha community leaders like 180223 buried this anime saying it was dull boring and terrible. He spammed that shit in many forums and facebook groups and on crunchyroll when it was on simulcast so people listen to him and ignored it completely
>sophie has opposite voice to what i expected
>even more high pitched than the rest of the cast
Just crush my dreams for a cast member with a decent voice why don't you.
>I'm already 12 but don't get what's all this love stuff is about
>my friend got her first period and boys teased her about it
>boys are dumb
>uh oh this guy is fucking hot
>holy shit he kissed me
>guess boys aren't dumb
>guess I get this love stuff now
Here, I saved you 24 minutes.
Can't wait for the episode about acne.
Must be hard to find negative review(other than Yararon which is they anti every single show there) of this show, from what i see himado, 2ch, 2chan all are mostly positive, even though not most positive one of course.
You appear to have made a slight error.
That's not the point. The spreading of anime throughout different sites makes everything more complicated and more unattainable. Everything was fine as long as it was just CR.
Why dont people want to sub mecha? Half the episodes are easy to translate since they consist of
-I am not actually athuran, i am Cagalli piloting his mech!
What did she mean by this?
Since people are getting the episode now, any request for webm, transparents or stitches? Though I couldn't find anything to stitch this episode.
Transparent any of Yukina's pouts
What you want is more BRAVE shows.
Also found my new waifu
>"Impossible" is something you can only say after first trying every possibility
>This may be terrible for you
>Roughly speaking, she'd have to overtake 500,000 people within 18 months
I just got here but perhaps I should've come to TLC the script earlier.
So far it most feels like Lagrange, rather than typical mecha show. I.e. no one actually died (or least onscreen, including grunt pilots), likely in future fights as well except maybe for main plot device sacrafice or something.
I am ok with Lagrange/Turn A style, where theres no existential threat and eradication of humanity like in Aldnoah and such.
You're going to have to give me screenshot then.
Maybe she'll get better.
They should have hired better mecha designer.
Is she gonna receive samurai dick?
So make your bets - when will be her dad`s appearance and what his role will be?
Will he appear as savior bringing vital info about demons or possible new Unit?
Will he appear as villain that awakened the demons in first place?
Thanks. Here you go.
That would imply other mecha look better - they arent though. Alien mecha look like shit.
To be fair though, Gauss looks decent with equipment on - riot shield, amamrments etc.
Everything is pointless however because the models themselevs are low poligonal untextured amateur work.
What's his guy's problem? He probably needs a good fap.
Shirobako had hype because of GuP director. And just the nature of the show became big mainstream appeal.
Charlotte was Maeda shit, liek Angel Beats - both sold exclusively to his fanboys, the shows were meh.
Mecha shows are very risky genre, so dont expect much success here - especially with Macross and Unicorn TV airing in same season.
The main factor here is not show quality, but appeal to target audience - and PA Works being quite niche studio and doing mecha for first time, this might end just like RDG worse case.
No, he wants to lay the female pilot of other Gauss - the Ojou
I quite like how weird it is to be honest. Its ammunition in its armpits and groin weapon and i like the odd looking joints. Feels like something you might see in the DARPA Robotics Challenge 10 years from now
No. Most anime USED to be like that. That time is years behind. Just check Macross this season - mechas have proper texture to give them material feel/damages/weathering. As well proper lightning.
CG in Kuromukoro is litteraly Linebarrels of Iron tier - simplest shading on poor models, which is not a compliment.
At the very least, those who still use shading - use GRADIENT rather than plain, and lighting/shadows.
What are the things sticking out on the back of those mechs?
Just to compare KyoAni mecha.
PA works 3d quality is like Haruchika compared to Hyouka
Macross did that approach to CG since Zero in 2002. The last mecha I recall watching was Gargantia in 2013 which had choppy cel shaded mecha.
They're different philosophies rather than technical progress, like how Shinkai's painting over photographs technique hasn't made the Kaguya-hime movie's background art obsolete.
You're free to hate it anyway. I'm not defending CG, just PAW's competence.
Theres nothing "style/different approach" about Kuromuko CG. Its just bad. Especially seen in non mecha CG scenes, like the CG facilities shown.
I can understand you dont watch many mecha shows, but just for example - compare the look of Kuromukoru to show its obviously inspired from (seeing the staff).
No matter how you look, its just poor quality
Why did they bother with making that special then? The only reason someone in the staff wanted to. Someone spent immense amount of work desigining and animating this stuff in quality surpassing most proper mecha shows. And yeah - if they make a new mecha show, the mecha will be obviously CG.
The bad CG aside though, its still currently rose to my favorite show of the season, because its pretty much only show atm who`s plot i am interested to see develop.
Delta is just a guilty pleasure. And other originals like Mayoiga and Kiznaiver just watching expecting trainwrecks.
>Oni from Mars
Like i said, doesn't matter, no to mention Kyoani will never have any balls to make mecha show or even a show that not focus on high school shit, i stopped caring them anymore.
About the odd joints, they remind of Turn A. The designer gave Gundam kneecaps which they never had before. Logically most Japanese mecha designs would be incapable of sitting seiza so they liked to show off mustache's flexibility and his 360 degree rotating hands and head.
The tiny feet are also going for extra realism. Legs can swing faster if the center of mass is closer to the body instead of the feet. There was a Patlabor Minipato special that discusses that.
It's funny doing the "real robot" thing then having the time traveling robots bleed and fight with swords. They apparently have some sort of gravity manipulating power too but it's an asspull technology like luna titanium.
Sorry it took so long.
Don't forget she tried to kill her co-worker.
Then again, I'd probably want to murder a guy who only talks about shit and sex innuendos too.
Will she bring about balance between bushidō and industry?
If there is a relatively big demand for it. Like I said before.
But there seems to be so far so sure. I should get started on that karaoke though. Once I see that the ep 1 script is edited I'll slip it in
Neat, the rainbow in the anime shows up irl too.
Did you see the ending? did you see the 1st episode?
First, they find out what's going to get flooded due to the dam, and evacuate everything that needs to be saved. Entire towns are wiped out.
>decide to build major dam in Egypt
>ancient temples are going to get flooded
>reject a suggestion to protect the temples with levees because that would be impractical
>literally saw the temples into pieces and move them to a safe place
You`ll still be disappointed. The show is good though, so aside from jarring of how bad 3d looks, its very worth watching.
I just hope i get used to it myself, so not to facepalm in future episodes seeing great original PA Works 3d animation.
The meteor bots probably have a more advanced version since red was using it as a shield, yet when this guy nearly got hit he complained so I assume they don't have shields. They're also still prototypes. The bad guys are probably Martian AIs from the future who travel back in time.
Is there a more reasonable explanation than this dude being a robot that pilots a mecha?
Watch the episode more carefully. Its Mecha.
The researches found the artifacts - one of them is CUBE the other is BIG ONE.
They did not learn purpose of CUBE, however the BIG ONE is a Demon/Anti-Demon ancient mecha, that they cant activate, but from researching which they god technology to build own mecha.
The CUBE in the end turned out to be a pilot container, and the Samurai likely will pilot the BIG ONE (which seems to have awoken automatically detecting either Pilot release, or presense of Demons neaby)
Oh, I get it. It's the eponymous Kuromukuro mecha that Yukina is piloting in the episode preview. I was assuming it was piloting the big yellow guy since it was shown immediately after.
Color of the lights matches up with one of the mecha in the beginning.
