Things looked okay on my local post service's website and I got my package delivered the same day.
Oh good, AmiAmi got this sent out before their long weekend.
>Not just cropping the Callender
Baka desuyo Anthony-kun
Post more info if you're not scared faggot
>tfw someone else gets your grail for cheap
TOM is so annoying. I have enough points that with free shipping, getting a figure there would be cheaper than amiami, but TOM's release date is two months later. And I know it'll get pushed back further than that.
I have a bunch of TOM points from when they got all those out of print figures last year around september/october. Don't know if I'll ever end up using them because of those late release dates.
This WF seemed to be more towards jointfags. I'm hyped as fuck for the Megami Device line and just about everything Koto showed off. And then there were the new girls Azone showed off.
Bunny Hartmann, actually. I was originally going to pass, but I got employee of the month with a fifty dollar bonus, so it's either TOM for less money or HLJ for faster.
You're assuming that. Not saying they won't be but you can't know that. And they'll still be cheaper than shinkis, that I do think we can be sure of.
Picco neemo are more expensive than figmas but you can do more with them.
So buyfags there's an item I wanted to buy but just as I decided to get it on amiami it lists "pre-orders closed"
This is an item I can only get from amiami other than that it's just proxies and I dont want to deal with that.
Is it common for some pre-orders to re-open after the item releases? People cancelling, or there's that chance nobody ever cancels it?
At least the CAD isn't at 80 JPY anymore. The USD must be weakening.
Got this in the mail today. It's super comfortable and looks awesome
it just looks shiny to me
Keep them out of direct sunlight to stop/slow down the yellowing. To reverse yellowing, I'm not sure. There is a method to reverse that yellowing that happened to some NES and SNES consoles. That may work on the bases.
Thanks, seems like it could possibly work. I bought a figured released some time ago and it seems that the base has already yellowed. I might try this but I don't know if I want to test it out on this. Maybe I'll try it when I can find a different figure with a yellowed base.
Encase the plastic in an inert fluid such as Nitrogen, and reduce ~ultraviolet exposure, or any radiation at all!
After keeping a puchinendo of Takane in a water filled glass jar, akin to a snowglobe, for over 8 months, a small film of plasticizer(?) has formed on the surface of the plastic, giving it a powdered look, a few shades whiter than the original color. This film wasn't removed upon water flow and required brushing or solid contact to properly shear the particles away from the surface. The surface seemed intact and no discoloration was present. This film was only present on the figure itself and not on the stand. The water had very little particulate floating in it, very likely from the jar and water itself. When the jar was shaken, bubbles did not adhere to the surface of the figure as well as it did when the figure was originally clean.
Due to the small, curved nature of the figure, it was difficult to properly remove the film across the whole surface area.
the gk maker tweeted me back, saying he couldnt sell because of copyright issues- just like another /a/non had said after I sent the tweet.
Anyone have any experience with trustworthy proxy services or people who go to wonfes? money isnt an issue.
(anon from that time)
I saw some posts on Reddit and MFC when I was looking to buy some WF2016W stuff, but I was too late to actually place an order with them. I haven't found any proper proxy, but maybe the guide has something. Check all the proxies that are listed there, I'm sure at least once of them has in-person proxy services.
thats what came up when I googled, but I dont fucking know how to use Reddit. I have a friend who is living in Japan, but I doubt Id convince her to go to wf for me even if I paid her way. I also think the last fest was in february, and going through twitter havnt seen them post about the next event yet.
I should probably stop buying this One Piece stuff but you can't beat $50 unless that involves not spending money at all
Depends on where you live.
1. Find the cheapest standard frame size around the size of the print you want, these will always be cheaper.
2. Find what DPI is needed for a print to look good at that size, there are charts you can find
3. Get over your social anxiety of talking on the phone and call up some local print shops and ask how much it will cost to get a single full colour print at X size and at X DPI
Anyone here ever lose their collection due to some kind of disaster? Anything like a tornado or earthquake or fire? The thought of it intrigues me, assuming you have contents insurance I imagine you could start up again if you wanted to, but at that point do you buy back what you lost or go after things you may want more now?
>no best girl
For shame, anon. For shame.
I'm unsure, anon. I personally haven't seen anything. Yet, that doesn't mean that the info isn't out there. I just hope that when they do find out the final paint, that they decide to include her staff too, seems too iconic to leave out.
suppose we can only hope
I'd love for it to have the staff, i'm honestly surprised were not getting one in this kind of pose, think it's much more iconic of her
True, anon. All we can do is wait, though. Wait and hope for the best.
He's mentioned before something about being unhappy with how many jap made cars are imported and sold in america, so he might put up a tariff on em, hard to say if it'd be all encompassing or just on cars though.
I like this figure a lot. There should be more figures like her.
His businesses would be mostly unaffected, as he deals in real estate and importing products to be sold, not buying products from overseas to make things in America.
So you take that information and consider that in voting for the president tax wise you are voting for two things mostly.
1) who will they be focusing on supporting. their cronies, of course.
2) where are they going to redistribute tax money. tax money needs to come from somewhere.
So tariffs on imports doesn't affect trump much or his cronies, meanwhile he needs to bring in tax money. That means there's a higher chance he will introduce customs fees.
Chances are pretty low though for either choice. But if you're voting based solely on that I would vote Clinton. Clinton is a woman though so she might take away your lewd lolis. Trump probably has sex with 12 year olds, he thinks his daughter is sexy.
Just came in.
Anyone else get A Girl By The Sea? Why does Asano love writing tragic romances? I love/hate his works compared to Makoto Shinkai, hate more than love.
anyone gonna splurge on the lithograph? http://www.infinitedayo.jp/shop/sr044.html
Guys I need some advice, I don't like the white cup bases these butterflies have, how can I get the figurines to reliably stand on the trunk without them? I have some ideas but I'd like other input before I go chopping anything up because it took me months to find a flawless piece of dead tree around here that didn't belong to anybody.
babies can learn language. you've studied language for 12+ years and probably still suck at it compared to people like noam chomsky.
learning is easy for smart people. accepting that youll never be as good as your native language but still trying to learn is where most people fuck up. people try to compare their native language for levels of fluency, but 4th graders are fluent at English.
The reason why learning it is easy, but it stays hard. Comparing it to your native language makes it seem like you're not making enough progress. Pretty easy to see that conclusion.
Can you tell me what you used for pegs? Wood dowel pins, nails, etc? These butterflies have a large and small pin each, was thinking maybe nails since it's wood, mark in pencil where they go, hammer them in and cut the heads off.
Nails rust, they are coarse which could cut into your figure's pin hole with pressure, and it's difficult to get them in completely perpendicular.
You're better off drilling a hole, getting some short stainless steel dowel pins and gluing them in. That way you won't have to deal with rust or discoloration.
Make sure that the wood is level or your figure might lean with humidity and high heat. Also make sure that you drill a level hole too. The pins need to be perpendicular to the base.
Please god let it be good. I wont be able to take it if my one chance at this ends up being trash.
He said in an interview after, I forgot which manga he did with a happy ending, he's never doing a happy ending ever again. Part of it had to do with not wanting to conform to the norm or something and others were that he actually wanted to piss off haters that kept sending him angry letters, along with a few other things I can't remember.
So yeah, there's always going to be suffering.
This head is ridiculously too tiny, and the seams are ugly. A shame since the clothes sculpt and thick thighs is really good.
The problem stays once you've become fluent in another language already, I think. You keep wondering "why isn't it as fast to learn spanish as it is to learn english?" or things like thatt.
I rarely use the same method for all my figures, we have an old toolbox and most old nails/screws do the job once you remove the rust. You can also go to a hardware store and ask for metal pegs in the diameter you desire.
Going to the hardware store to buy stuff for my buyfag hobby is actually very entertaining.
>difficult to get them in completely perpendicular
Maybe for you it is but I'm a builder. Nailing shit is what I do to afford these slutterflies hence why they were my first idea.
Oh and nails for exterior applications are made from 316 stainless steel.
What is the typical application for the stainless dowel pins? Can't say I am familiar with them so they must be some sort of specialist application.
>What is the typical application for the stainless dowel pins? Can't say I am familiar with them so they must be some sort of specialist application.
I welded together a new grill for my BBQ with some food grade stainless steel dowels. Also they can be used for outdoor antennas. Other than that I can't think of any other use for them other than maybe a wireframe for something that needs to stay outdoors.
Reinforcing things. Making pin punches. DIY jobs. Whatever. I doubt they're used in construction, but they're useful in repair. I see hundreds of them in all different sizes at the mom and pop hardware store.
A stainless steel nail is fine. I just find it easier to drill a hole and insert a rod with glue. Easier to cut straight in a vice, and you're not making sparks all over the place on top of your wood base. Also you can sand it easily and turn it however you want and it's not stuck in the wood. Maybe that's just me. Use whatever you already have.
Brass rod is one of the things actual figures use for this purpose.
Another idea I had was to use a 65mm holesaw and insert the base centers (the green bits) into the holes, using the base's original pins.
Either I'm using the wrong search terms or Bunnings don't carry shit in terms of steel rod in assorted sizes. Smallest thing I found was a 6.3mm aluminium rod which is useless to me.
But thanks for the ideas, gets me closer to a workable solution. I'm just a builder for fucks sake thinking about engineering is not what I do, I just do what the engineer tells me to do.
Bunnings is pretty shit for hobby supplies, it's more of a tradie and home DIY store. You are better off finding a local hobby store and getting those sorts of items from them.
Two on the big part, one on the small one. That is why I need to fuck off the plastic bases, the figurines will fit since they are essentially wide but not very deep and one will go behind and to the side of the other, but their round bases will not.
Thanks, didn't think they'd sell this sort of shit on Amazon.
Yeah but I get 10% off purchases at bunnings and a 30 day account, which is why I made it my first stop.
If you go to your bunnings outdoor area, look for stuff for wire fencing, should be able to pick up probably like 200m of steel wire for $12 in a number of sizes.
I've been getting some 2mm thick stuff from there for other projects i'm doing, but you could probably find some that would fit as a peg.
>Wouldn't steel wire be too flexible?
probably not, not at less than 1cm sticking out from whatever he's plugging it into, and if it's just to balance some figs, i'd say it'd probably be fine
I saw this earlier in toranoana the other day for 7800. Will it drop in a couple of months? I kind of don't want to put it in my luggage and would rather ship directly to home from amiami or something.
Does anyone own the FREEing Marie?
Is Marie's hair or head able to rotate a few degrees? I keep seeing her hair either partially covering the key on her chest (left) or no where near the key (right). Is one of them a bootleg?
Why does amiami hate me. I live in Japan with a US address. They are literally shipping it down the street.
No, it's selling great. It just looks like shit, but at least the one version of it comes with a picture of the art it's based on so you can constantly be disappointed by how different it looks from it.
If the head actually could rotate that would mean that the end that goes in her body is round instead of square which is certainly not the case. Regarding the hair, it's more likely that due to the casting process the material might behave differently during solidification and can slightly warp. This can actually be often seen on other figures when it comes to the hair.
>This head is ridiculously too tiny,
Doesn't really seem that way, just that her collar and gloves kind of throw off the proportions by quite a bit. Look at her shoulders and arms and compare them again.
Looks pretty inline with her base art, just hoping it'll actually be painted someday. Seaport doesn't exactly have that much merchandise outside some keychains, card box/sleeves, and other bits and bobs.
Iowa was added in the Vita game.
But not soon enough.
RIP getting pic-related pre-painted.
Order one up. I ordered XL and it fit me perfectly, if I had ordered L it would've been too short. The only bad thing is that the sleeves are rather thin and my /fit/ arms were a little bit tight.
Fingers crossed for both of us, but I'm going to try to resist a preorder on this due to quality uncertainty.
Red white and blue knee socks or whatever? Fashionably terrible but a nice touch regardless.
Hmmm...buy fagging doujin can be confusing sometimes.
Anyone have the exact measurements of this figure?
Amazon removed the sales tax for items sold overseas.
yo buy fags, what happens if I never confirm my payment on ami ami for a figure I preordered? I dont have the money and the figure isnt that good anyway.
Not him, but since this years daily calendar was canceled on the basis of azuma wanting to focus on the manga, I'm guessing it's a bit of both.
I got the Nanoha Vivid daily calendar this year and there are both manga excerpts and what's clearly original art for the calendar, too.
Feels like trying to find slightly older card sleeves for various characters is either impossible, or 10x+ the original cost for them. At that point, it just makes more sense to print your own.
I'm I going to fit in normie outside world with those
Then again, I can't really judge. I'd kill for Gasoline Batman's Happi coat.
I'm just waiting for this single pre-order.
It's going to be my #4 Saber (Swimsuit Alter, Armorless Lily, Zero bike) but I have no regrets, this is my favorite Saber in her best outfit.
Aaah how the fuck did I get this far without noticing that. All I have to do is reprint it but I just went looking and it's harder to find a clean copy of the original Daisy than the others for some reason.
Thanks for pointing it out I guess who knows how long that would have sat there, probably until I was finished building the display.
I don't really like vanilla Saber, but Alter is different and her character is funny.
And she looks good in gothic lolita outfits.
I prefer the maids, so not too much to go on there.
I was the one a few threads ago that asked why Saberfags existed when she seemed to generic. Had only seen Zero a while ago, few episodes into UBW now and starting to get it. She's like a representation of loyalty.
Completely am. Made it as a snowglobe project but couldn't find a snowflake substitute because glitter is horrendous. As for the fluid, I should have used clear glycerin/polyacrylate lube to slow flake descent, but I had none at the time.
The entire project is scrapped until I find a better globe/jar and a fig to store inside it. LCL-encapsulated Mari is my next aim.
>I don't really like vanilla Saber, but Alter is different
HAha, this is what Saberfags really think. No, all these versions are just reskins of one character, Saber. And you fall for it big time.
You are stupid secondary.
I was thinking about buying the boats too, but I'm not sure, they are kits and I suck at building stuff.
Also, saw this at Amazon Germany, they are offering free shipping from Japan and the first one even mentions paying the import fee for you.
There's nothing wrong with Alter nor Nero.
It's actually pretty easy for human perception to miss seemingly obvious things. Funny that he managed to get so far along without noticing, though.
I didn't read >>138883602 and thought you meant the opposite.
>buying digital crap when you can get the physical copy
About two months after these two.
Well, seeing as I'm a broke-ass college student and have neither of those, gonna go with no.
Select all images with a tricycle naisu
I was going to post Ques Q Labrys, but I forgot that she actually did get painted recently.
>Watching anime in highschool
>"Man, I'll never be one of those weirdos with posters all over his room, body-size pillows, creepy figures that actually pays for anime and manga"
>7 years later
>"I'll probably never fall down enough the slope to buy onaholes or a dollife"
How much money spent on purchasing figures does one need to start re-evaluating life decisions? I've already broken past a million yen
Different anon, but the bikini just clashes with every aspect of the figure. It looks like someone just mashed two concepts together and didn't bother to even try and make something cohesive out of it.
Same color from the art it's based one, but it would be nice if it was a different color. Going to pick it up because it's not completely horrible and Bertille is easily one of my favorites from WR and so on. So I'm a bit biased when it comes to things.
well my main concern was that it would take forever to clean up and not "worth" the effort
it's so worth it
and you don't have to use it EVERY time to you have a wank if you're that lazy
Onaholes shouldn't be considered far down the slope. They're easily concealable and no one has to know you have them. It's different from a figurine because if you don't actively display the figure then it's not really fulfilling its purpose. A dollfie's further down the line because not only should you be displaying it but doll owners usually obsess over the accessories and upkeep of the doll. But an onahole can stay locked up aside from the time you spend using it and that's what it's meant to do. Those half-body size hips are a different story obviously but you can get a decent hole for $20-$30 with shipping, lock it up somewhere, and only use it for 30 minutes a day and I wouldn't say you're far down any sort of slope.
>just updated spreadsheet
Oh boy, I'm over halfway there!
I hate the shift towards digital distribution, whether it be music or moves or games or shows or books or manga, if I'm going to pay money for something, then I want a physical copy of it.
I finish in 10-20seconds. Not even kidding.
Yeah, but onaholes are depicted down the slope and I always disagreed. It's like how people greentext that it's OK for a girl to have a dildo, but if a guy has a sex toy it's pathetic. The only reason people say onaholes are a step under is because of the perception that if a guy isn't getting his rocks off by having sex with women then he's doing something wrong.
I don't mean to start that argument, but I don't even think it's relevant. There's good holes in the $20 range that you can easily hide. Going down the slope would be getting those gigantic hips in the $300, $500 range or those full-sized dolls that are even more expensive. That's a significant amount of money that you can't really hide.
I think that image even said loli onaholes were further down the slope, which is just plain stupid. The picture on the box has nothing to do with the hole; there can be tight onaholes with an older woman on the box and loose onaholes with an loli on the box.
Yeah, this is the reason why I stopped using them.
It's like when your buddies discover your porn stash. There's some teasing over it, but no one thinks any less of you and you'll probably end up discussing everyone's porn habits by the end of the night.
Yeah the joke was always if a girl has a dildo she's strong and independent. Maybe it's some feminism thing. Point is, if what's preventing you from buying an onahole is the idea that you'll be falling further down the slope, you should get over that because spending $30 on an easily concealable toy is pretty casual by normal buyfag standards and will reward you with far better faps, which is basically the most important thing in life. Worry about going too deep when you're considering buying a full-size doll for a grand.
How is having a disembodied dick sign of gender independance? It just means "you want to get laid, but no guy is willing to put up with your shit long enough to lay you".
That is waaay far from being normal? Just what kind of distorted sense of normality is that? And this is coming from someone who wakes up every day to plastic Tits and Ass. At the very least we make a line between porn and reality, as opposed to attempting to erase it.
This entire conversation is useless, societies tend to have varying stances on things if you even just go a few miles north/south/east/west. Bottom line is no one can care about anything you keep in your home if they never know it's there.
Which one of your bleeding cuntholes bought my shit before I could checkout?
>meaning EMS onry
>live in France
I can smell the EUR 49 customs fee already.
You need to dry it afterwards which is the part that's a hassle if the hole can't be turned inside out, which is most of them. I don't think it's that bad but there are definitely nights where I just want to crank one out and go to bed and I don't want to do that with a hole.
When ever I walk around the room, my figures on my tables and shelves vibrate a lot. Is there anything I can do to minimize the shaking/vibration from my walking?
Would a thick rug/carpet work? Plastic tabs/cloth underneath the legs?
Because most women honestly have no idea how any of that shit works. At the risk of sounding like a feminist, female sexual education is atrocious. There's a shocking number of women who have never had an orgasm and an even more shocking number that only think they've had an orgasm but haven't had a full one.
>they are kits and I suck at building stuff.
I feel your pain, all of Super Robot Wars related stuff I care about is either kits or "Preview shown, never released" status. Or worse, GKs.
While most of what you said is true, a dildo alone can be just fine for some. Just like I've read of some dudes getting off solely stimulating their nipples, what's enjoyable is different for everyone.
And orgasms aren't about doing it the most efficient way every time.
You should really give in. It's a whole dimension. Not only are kits usually cheaper, but you get a few hours extra enjoyment out of building them and then another few hours of painting them, and then you still get an awesome model to display. I passed on Gourai because I didn't do model kits, but I finally gave in and now I'm trying to hunt down the 1/35 Edelweiss crew while waiting with baited breath to get and assemble my tank.
Especially if you normally buy scales, everything that you need to get set up costs about as much as a single figure.
The problem lies more in the GK and "never ever" side of things than just regular kits. Most official SRW kits are for mecha that already have a SRC or SoC release, or ones I don't care about enough to want on my shelf. Or those SD ones that are made to look like the in-game sprites.
I don't know ether but she is.
I could not ask for better.
That totally depends on what kind of propellant is being used. If it's literally just pressurized air go to town on your figs. I'd be careful with aerosol based dusters though.
What did you expect from the
They are not even present at all
