Why do so many anime get fucked over during production? Nadia was a great show that's brought down by the single worst filler arc of all time that goes on for one third of its entire duration, and the animation quality, character development and story shits the bed the moment the set foot on that goddamn island. Now I see why working on this show drove Anno insane.
In that specific case greed. It was doing well so NHK wanted to milk it for what is worth. In Karekano case the author got pissed and they had budget issues so the team was forced to shut out the abrupt end.
Looking back It's not surprising Gainax died the way it did. They never really sided with the staff in any of these situations.
Still worth noting tha now that he is his own boss Anno makes some really shit calls himself.
Whose idea was it to give King such prominent balls?
A baby lion maybe. I never understood why they made King grey instead of yellow-brown like an actual lion. Or why they had an actor voice him instead of just using actual lion growls.
That's a possibility. Anno loves making references to other anime.
Did you really?
Island arc is fine. Africa two-parter is the true cancer that kills the show.
>Nadia's the only survivor of the left page
That's a little depressing
There was an obnoxious vegetarian cunt in Robinson Crusoe that yelled constantly at the guy trying to help feed himself and the child under his care while she stole food from them for herself all the while contributing nothing at all whatsoever to their survival on a deserted island?
