So, on a scale from "Homura" to "Nanoha", how much do these two carpetmunch?
So much that Hibiki probably gets hairballs.
The sun duo doesn't munch carpet. They carefully tend the garden and nibble on oysters.
I feel like being nice so Here's the (you).you're looking for.
>Symphogear is not a yuri anime.
GX's tagline is the best thing to happen to both the series and Miku's holes.
>Homura somehow equals 0 in the taco-eater scale
Madoka is mostly subtext. You could make the argument that Homura's love for Madoka is "love for the divine" rather than romantic love.
Now, we all know the answer is a bit of both, but it's ambiguous in the series. Something like Nanoha is unambiguous.
OP here. The scale was actually supposed to go from "one-sided" to "when's the wedding".
Not like it matters since it was mostly just a joke anyway. They are obviously meant to work like a sort-of married couple.
Nanoha and Fate are technically married though. Not that it makes any difference in your scale anyways.
He's a well-known troll who pissed of the nanoha/symphogear/madoka fanbases here, the entirety of /u/, dynasty-scans (threatened to report them because they didn't include his rants in the few scanlations he did), e-hentai, 2*4chan/irc, and probably some other and is probably mentally ill as he thinks everyone is either !Akemi or Troid (a mod). Don't reply seriously, never ever.
This is what I get for only coming to /a/ once in a blue moon, I guess.
Look, this anime got gayer in 11 episodes than symphogear in three seasons. Couldn't they just stop fucking around and give something? It's not like it will alienate the fanbase.
Now that'd be something else:
>there's a giant relic on the moon!
>crap, it's a robot!
>and it is powered by the kiss of two young women in love!
>Hibimiku is our only hope against NephiliAlchemyVer.!
Well, that one is based on a manga so of course it'd be gay since the source material is gay. Everyone involved in the anime production knew from the beginning that they're making a gay anime and is ready to take the risk.
Most of the staff and VAs giggle like a bunch of idiots whenever they talk about Hibiki and Miku's "friendship" so I'd be more surprised if it doesn't get progressively gayer in the next couple of seasons.
Kannazuki no mikos plot might have been dumb but damn if that yuri ending wasn't sweet and effective. Especially when you're used to yuri being just subtext and teasing that doesn't go anywhere.
At this point I imagine their 'friendship' is probably a running joke in the studio. Hibiki and Miku are basically written as the male protagonist of a toku show and his highschool sweetheart girlfriend, except they're both girls and only 'friends'. It's comical because they constantly do romantic couple things with each other and say romantic couple things to each other with this limp-wristed "n-no homo" context that doesn't feel like it holds any water when they're staring deeply into one another's eyes while embracing intimately and sharing epithets of how they are the moon and the sun in the sky and their only reason for being.
They'll probably continue to make them do couple-like things onscreen and continue to fail to undermine it by insisting that it's maybe probably somewhat just a friendship. I'm betting they'll be a 'not-date' episode in one of the coming seasons.
In my opinion G is slightly better than S1.
Your opinion is wrong
Why? The fights were good, the plot wasn't fucking retarded like in GX, the characters weren't whimpy losers like in GX and the songs weren't merely okay like in GX (with one exception).
No yours is.
>scale from "Homura" to "Nanoha"
What exactly is this scale like and what exists between these two extremes?
Like you know, married couple with a kid, that one's obvious.
But I seen some shit where Homura's eating Madoka out in the real world, then she goes to her devil pocket dimension and she's got her tongue up God Madoka's ass. I mean, two girls, at the same time, in two different planes of reality.
No gay allowed.
Why are these retards allowed do conduct top secret government business?
Because they're the only ones who can wield super powerful ancient relic based technology.
Speaking of which, someone should really get Elf9 to write down some Alchemy 101 textbooks before she inevitably gets offed or turns evil like every other scientist in Symphogear.
Why don't they just make a proper series out of the zesshoushinais? They're usually more entertaining than the actual show and the super simple style works great for the content.
Heavenrend > Ame no Habakiri Also whoever pairs Tsubasa with Maria is dumb.
>Also whoever pairs Tsubasa with Maria is dumb.
It's exactly the kind of no-strings-attached mildly homoerotic admiration that invites imaginations to run wild.
>Also whoever pairs Tsubasa with Maria is dumb.
Aoi, Nana, Hikasa, and Iguchi?
That's the face once gets when you are confronted with a book full of loli Tsubasa photos.
Hikasa's quadruplet pregnancy will save Symphogear.
>or they just shamelessly changed the name from one season to another?
Ichii-Bal > Ichaival
>Also whoever pairs Tsubasa with Maria is dumb
Aoi graduated from Waseda.
It's safe to assume that she is smarter than you, at the very least.
There's nothing in Symphogear gayer than DMJii.
>we didn't get to see Chris interact with Maria when they thought she was Fine
Up until they got interrogated at whatever UN facility, they did not know that Maria was not Fine, or who was Fine. When Chris defected to FIS for that brief moment she would still be under the assumption she was siding with Fine again.
Watch until the end of the episode, faggot.
I haven't watched Nanoha. What happened?
They had a big timeskip and the main cast was sidelined for a longass time in favor of an army of literal whos no one gave a fuck about. Plus taking "Just friends" to the most hilariously absurd levels of denial.
Main characters were aged up, and pushed to the side.
The new characters were okay but kinda shit.
After A's, one of the greatest thing to happen to magical girls, it was a huge disappointment.
Even if it's bad like Nanoha StrikerS, we may get lucky and get to see Hibiki and Miku adopting their own little girl and marrying off screen.
It wasn't very good, and had a time skip that aged all the lolis. Still it wasn't so bad.
Sorry, I'm a complete retard.
Nah, FIS aren't that bad outside of Maria.
>Even if it's bad like Nanoha StrikerS, we may get lucky and get to see Hibiki and Miku adopting their own little girl and marrying off screen.
That was the ONLY good thing about StrikerS, besides some of the fights. And I don't even have to watch StrikerS to get that stuff, I can just go ahead and read Vivid.
God, I fucking hate StrikerS.
It's not like they set up a whole lot. All we know is that it'll involve the chip that Ver gave Maria and that Europe has something to do with all this.
>and that Europe has something to do with all this.
You mean that there's an IMMINENT shitstorm brewing in Europe. If they do a timeskip past that completely it would be total bullshit in every possible way.
People are really obsessed with Symphogear following the same pattern of Nanoha for some reason, I've heard people talking about "Symphogear StrikerS" ever since it got a second season
Fucking weird people.
The only Nanoha patterns I want Symphogear to follow is "little girl punch thing, BOOM" and "i know they are always holding hands and they sleep in the same bed and they say they love each other in every single way outside of outright saying they love each other but they're totally not gay guise".
Little girls punching weren't introduced in Nanoha until Vivid though, and they stopped pretending they weren't gay relatively early. Unless you count Subaru too but she isn't really a little girl.
I'd say the similarity between the 2 series is mostly that they're aimed at the exact same market, and they both are about young girls fighting with magic or technological enhancements, being badass and occasionally getting more badass girl-friends to join them.
Right, I realized what I wrote way too late. It should have been something like "little girl attack thing, BOOM"
Yeah, both series are similar in those regards, doesn't mean I want one of them commit the same sins the other did. But I'm not one of the people that want Symphogear StrikerS to happen, so what do I know.
Remind me, did Madoka ever show any sort of more-than-friendship affection towards Homura specifically, during the anime? I remember her being more of a "I love EVERYONE!" kind of person.
Then again, I haven't watched the thing in years and I never bothered watching the movies.
The character you're looking for is
one of the other two Marias. So pick your poison.
What's the difference? Just the fucking cape?
>no S1 forms
>not even Nehustan Chris
>people hating on Maria because she's the most versatile character and the most fashionable
And damaged Maria.
>tfw Nanoha is dead by virtue of all the VAs being too old to be marketable
Chris is like chocolate if chocolate was a heavy weapons platform.
>Nanoha is dead
She'll always live on. In our hearts.
>Somebody didn't watch the OVAs.
Speaking of the OVAs, this was the cutest fucking thing ever.
>Nanoha gets a nice little fighting game
I don't understand this world sometimes.
We live in a world of cheap mobile cash-ins now. Despair is the only option.
Hopefully that game we are getting will at least be some kind of rhythm game or something, instead of generic gacha bullshit.
Below Nanoha, but above Tougou
Nehustan Chris would be unnecessary since most of her moves could be applied to Fine, could just be an alternate costume
S1 outfits would be alternate costumes
Things like Berserk or Ignaito would be Specials
Maria could stance between Cape and Capeless
Everything after episode 7 was mostly despair, besides the return of the HERO
Hibiki flaking out in episodes 3-4 was still pretty retarded but I could've forgiven it if she had actually stayed in "Waterfall in Miku's pants" mode after that. Having a moment like that early on and then never even coming close to topping it (or making up for Hibiki getting hospitalized for half the season) is one of my biggest problems with GX.
They could have similar move concepts, but play completely differently.
I just want best Chris in this hypothetical imaginary game damnit.
>Nehustan Chris would be unnecessary since most of her moves could be applied to Fine
Same goes for every shoto clone in Street Fighter, that doesn't mean they all play the same. Nehushtan Chris could be the Sakura to Fine's Ryu.
Which episode had the highest count in GX?
Why not both? Chris could have it too. And Carol and the Dolls could have an Alca-Noise related attack or two.
Ver would probably have to be mostly Noise summoning, with a few wild flails from his Nephilim arm.
You know, that could be the difference between Nehushtan Chris and Nehushtan Fine. One of them gets Noise-related attacks thanks to the Solomon's Cane while the other doesn't have it and has to rely more on the armor's own abilities.
Why are the ReinForce raws the only decent release of GX on nyaa, why is this allowed?
Even better. thanks.
I dunno about that. One of the things I like about symphogear is that things aren't dwelled on for too long. Sometimes shit that literally came up in that episode is resolved right in that episode where other anime would have it resolve in 10 eps, constantly reminding you of said ordeal.
In fact, a current example is IBO, with Kudelia's "oh man i suck" shit. 23 eps later, and It's not even clear if that's resolved yet.
>Sometimes shit that literally came up in that episode is resolved right in that episode
That's one of GX's biggest problems. Just because IBO is fucking awful in the opposite direction doesn't make what GX did good.
IBO was just an example. I feel like a lot of anime happen to have the problem of dragging shit out.
GX did swing too much to the other end, but I'm a little cautious in saying that an episode count would really help that out. I guess we'll find out when they go for it, maybe the writers will do better with more episodes. I'm just a little concerned they'll end up wasting time instead.
Kaneko knew that the cast was too crowded for the show.
Instead of cutting Maria, he begged and sucked his way to 26 new episodes.
>just ordered Kirika and Chris t-shirts
If they "waste time" with some cute school SoL episodes, then I have no complaints.
Fuck no I won't.
I wouldn't even wear them underneath something else, in case I have to rescue a drowning child or something.
>Symphogears in a tournament
No, please, that doesn't even make sense.
