I thought the manga was good desu. It was my entry into the world of Chinese cartoons and manga. I watched the show and then read the chapters until the end. Looking back the show was just ok but I still think the manga holds up.

I liked it as a teen, but looking back at it, is pretty shit. Mangling small girls through as much suffering as possible to force emotions is bad writing. All the girls except Lucy were walking card boards. And the fucking MC, such an useless male lead.

Read more manga, and maybe you will get over your nostalgia.
