Anyone else lose their shit at this scene?
>>
>>138723158
>never had breakfast made with love

It's okay anon...
>>
No but I'm gonna lose my shit on other scene, probably next episode.
>>
I marathoned that hoe last night. I don't know how anyone else could live with themselves in anticipation for a whole week with some of those cliff hangers.
>>
>>138724257
It's called completed manga anon
>>
>>138724905
negro, If I wanted to read a manga i'd do so in the first place. Once someone becomes emotionally invested in the life breathed by the actors it's a pain in the ass to continue the story without them.
>>
>>138723138
That's the power of best girl's cooking
>>
>>138725179
>calls other anon a negro

okay

No because I had a loving family with a mom that made every meal.

i want to hug her so bad
>>
>>138723138
even when i know how it's gonna end

Im still gonna lost my shit to the ending of this series

About this scene i dind give a fuck , but i started thinking something like "how many people are living the same shit right now while i sit my ass here watching this"

No, it seemed a little forced.

>>138724257
You just gotta deal with it and start watching another show to fill the void. That's why watching a handful per season is recommended.

>>138724905
But if he read the manga that would spoil the show for him.
>>
Too much edge.
It's ok, you can crucify me.

>No, because I'm not a redditor.
Go fuck youself, retard.

The chocolate story was sadder.
>>
>>138723138
No, because it was unorganic, hamfisted and forced.
>guys look at all the shitty breakfasts she's had flash before her eyes in case you're too much of a complete autismo to get what's going on
>better give her red eyes just incase

I'm actually Mexican and lower-middle class.

It's not my fault close strong bonds, and family values are part of a core structure in an Mexican household

They tried to redeem the one dimensional evil mother by presenting her as being the victim of abuse as well. So essentially, they want us to feel pity for her by making it seem like she became a one dimensional evil adult because of another one dimensional evil adult.

Aside from how this is a lazy appeal to emotion through victimizing, which never makes a character better, it is also part of a stupid trope called Mimicked Character Development. It’s when a writer is so incompetent at thinking ways to develop his characters that the only thing he can do is to simply have them copy the personalities of others. It’s the same thing with the protagonist in Tokyo Ghoul where his character development is essentially mimicking the personality of his tormentor. Before getting amnesia and losing that as well; character development at its finest.
This is the result when the characters being plot devices when they cannot exist outside the conflict. They have nothing to do so they just mimic whatever is going on around them. And I know what many of you will say that people mimic others all the time when they are still looking for an identity. Yeah, and what is the reason for this? Because they are dull and unimaginative. Just like all these lazily written characters in fiction.

>lazy appeal to emotion
this shit reached dizzying heights with the back to back scenes of kayo and her mother getting fucking haymakered straight in the face.
>>
>>138729367
You weren't Supposed to feel sorry for Kayo's mother. They even addressed this in the episode.
>>
>>138729573
>the show overtly tells you how you should feel
>this is how you should feel
thanks for another example of the garbage writing, by the way
>>
>>138729573
I didn't really particularly care for her at all.

for me, it was really just about stopping his mom from getting killed in the future.
>>
>>138729719
If you mean her mom it's almost impossible to like her. She just turned around and punched her in the face full force, just for standing there and existing.
>>
>>138723222
WHERE THE FUCK DO YOU THINK YOU ARE ANON?
WHERE THE FUCK.....

I MEAN, YOU ARE ON FUCKING /a/, EVERYONE HERE WONT BE IN THIS FUCKING PLACE IF WE HAD HAVE A FRIGGING BREAKFAST MADE WITH LOVE
>>
the only redeeming thing kayo's mom got was being shown she was an abused housewife who became a stoner's fucktoy after her husband died. or left her. or went to prison.

but then she became a loli-punching machine to cope, and that wasn't cool
>>
>>138730031
>I MEAN, YOU ARE ON FUCKING /a/, EVERYONE HERE WONT BE IN THIS FUCKING PLACE IF WE HAD HAVE A FRIGGING BREAKFAST MADE WITH LOVE

but my wife makes me everyday anon
>>
>>138730216
you're on /a/ therefore cucked while browsing loli threads
>>
>>138723138
Yes but the part where she flinched when Sachiko raised her hand hit me just as hard.

Anon-kun, I.....

...I didn't know what you'd gone through. I'm sorry...

...I shouldn't ask about it that's not fair...I um....I'm making...eggs......do you want eggs anon?
>>
>>138730318
You're absolutely right.
That one split second hit me harder than the entire bacon scene.

By this point any investment I had in the show was lukewarm at best. I don't get how people get weepy over A-1 shows like this and Shigatsu.

They're like the equivalent of YA novels. The kind that aren't even that fun as cheap or absurd entertainment.
>>
>>138730495
It's because literally anyone will cry over child abuse and cancer. It's not hard to get an emotional response out of the audience if you're laying it on that thick.
>The kind that aren't even that fun as cheap or absurd entertainment.
Funnily enough cheap entertainment is exactly what it is

No. I imagined the person voicing kayo who is like 20 years old in a sound booth. A grown woman making those noise in a sound booth in front of a microphone. I ended up feeling weirded out
>>

NTR?

I don't think there are many anime that had such a strong start as this but that then lost steam extremely fast.

Now I'm watching it just to finish it but it seems that every episode is worse than the last. The car candy scene and Kayo's grandmother scene were terribad.
>>
Daily reminder that to day's the day that casual will fuck-off from this show.
>>
>>138736295
not sure what's wrong with the car candy scene but I agree I thought the grandma was a little over the top.
>>
>>138736338

I already dropped it three episodes ago
>>
>>138734033
That ending was so forced. I would of been fine if Satoru ended up alone because he was supposed to be the kind of Hero to sacrifice himself and get nothing.
>>
>>138727278
I'm just a middle class yellow man.
>>
>>138737323
I had enough of those alone endings
>>
What's this about NTR
>>
>>138738760
I wouldn't care if they handled it well, but they didn't. The entire farewell scene with Airi was pointless and just dragged the manga on. Kei Sanbe was even planning on changing the ending because of the decline
>>
>>138729367
fuck off animesnob your videos are shit
>>
I'm glad I got the chance to marathon all 8 or so good episodes before Kayo left and the show turned to shit.

This anime was really quite promising for a while but now it's a joke.
>>
The chocolate bar story has to be the most retarded thing ever. Who the fuck would call the police over an unopened chocolate bar falling out of someone's pocket? Just tell them to either pay for it or put it back on the shelf

small village with small population and everyone knows each other, it was more the stealing that was the problem not the chocolate. Although even as an Asian myself, it was a bit too overdramatic.

>>138742049
No, I guessed it fairly early on too. It was way to obvious.
>>
>>138742120
Doesn't help where they do that thing where they keep the scene focused on a character usually after the main character leaves the scene for a few seconds like 'Oh damn, this guy is probably up to something bad'.

I mean come on.
>>
>>138742159
That too, but what made it obvious for me was the amount of screentime the fucker got, you simply don't make a "small" character appear in almost every episode.
>>
>>138742049
Well, I mean, if you guess everything, then you'll eventually guess right. I suspected the teacher at one point, but I was sure it was going to be Satoru from further in the future, trying to prevent an even bigger tragedy.
>>
>>138742183
Agreed. I Actually called it as soon as satoru entered the classroom except that part just made it more obvious.
>>
>>138742228
Literally the first guess I made was the teacher as soon as he entered the classroom.

It just seemed really obvious, then again maybe its because of that misao rpg game maker game that made me suspicious of teachers.
