I remember the threads used to be pretty active until the awful anime hit. We'll probably get a bunch more people in TF threads once Revenge hits. But overall, TF is one of the best selling manga in the world, currently. Has a very big following everywhere expect America and Europe.

The new designs aren't as nice, but there might be hints of Utsunomiya's animation in the action. If anything the action should be better than the first season though the show will still look like ass in general because it's Liden.

Satoru Utsunomiya is one of the action animation directors which is a good thing. The loss of Hamasaki as a director means the show is less visually distinct now though.

Everything looks so bright and generic now.

Do they still have Satoshi Kimura? He did some good work on Arslan and for TF he was the secondary character designer and oversaw some of the better animated episodes, namely 2 and 12.

I think he might have been involved in the OVAs as well, and that second one actually looked great.

I don't think so, he's not a character designer for the second season. Atsushi Ikariya and Masahiro Aizawa are the designers now. I don't think the character designs are as good as the first seasons, but Utsunomiya as action AD makes up for it I guess, provided he is able to do a good job. He has a good sense for realistic motion.

Yeah if you were never here in the beginning. What really killed the hype is this shitty Xpearse group doing their low quality jp>spa>eng and jp>ko>eng speed releases. Back when display;none was the only one doing this everyone could get hyped because a release meant hundreds of pages all at once with actual good quality.

Akari and Michelle got rescued and are heading back to Earth, Uncle Octopus is kill, Crab may be kill. Hornet is held by the Chinese and Joseph's Newton family picked him up and toss the Chinese some intel in exchange for letting them go safely. Also, Joseph now has a Harem of Eva clones and thousands of samples while China has hundreds and the rest a few dozen.
