why does Setsuna not get any love when she is clearly best girl?
Not enough screen time
Actual best sailor is pic related btw
Because she's not the ultimate 90s lesbian haircut scout.
another observation, she is more loved than Neptune
she is hardcore, I hope they don't fuck up this moment in Crystal (yeah right)
I hate people who get butthurt about Pluto's classification.
>Its a large spherical rock orbiting the sun. Its a planet.
Alright, then what about Eris? Or Makemake? Or a bunch of other TNOs/KBOs?
I love our solar system but you gotta shut up and pay your respects.
Crystal is based on the manga, and I don't think that this scene happened in that version.
When did she get so dark, and should it be canon?
At the nearestgood comic store they had a bunch of these figures, but not everyone.
Poor Pluto was being sold for a
£less than all the other soldiers. So I bought her and now she guards my manga.
Hard to say...
The best encodes are from Bunny Hat, but those aren't subbed, The best subs are from SMC, but their encodes aren't as good and have a super annoying black line at the top.
For the first season, you can settle for the Koten_Gars recent release. Good encodes, but meh subs when it comes to styling, and that is because their release was focused on the new dub.
What I started working on was syncing/editing SMC subs and muxing them with the Bunny Hat Raws. Have done 3 episodes so far with some free time last week, just one drop in a bucket...
Sailor Moon Center release for the complete series.
Unfortunately no. They way the subs are, the sync is off by a few 10ths at the beginning of the Bunny Hat video up to a couple seconds by the end of it. So, you have to shift with multiple passes, first shift 1-330, then 50-330, 100-300, then ..., 329-330. It takes about 30-40 minutes per episode. Then, I am also changing some of their subbing decisions (putting honorifics back, changing translations etc). I am also syncing Japanese subs to it to make those changes, which takes some time as well.
Yes, it's the breaks. There's a break for the opening, the title screen, the eye catch, the ending, the next episode preview. Those are where the sync messes up, and that is why the subs are desynced more towards the end, because more breaks have passed.
Because she was hardly given a personality.
I want to like Pluto, but there's hardly anything to work with.
This is the only picture I have with Setsuna.
That's right. Gotta do it all manually.
Well I guess that explains why there are no subbed Bunnyhat uploads. Dog bless your work, anon.
Now I've heard that Australia recently got a DVD release of the first season with comparable quality to the Italian DVD that Bunnyhat uses, which I assume comes with subs from the company that releases it (Madman Entertainment).
Although that is all I know and even it is mostly speculative. I doubt anyone has ripped that release.
Never heard of them, but their encode looks alright.
This seems to be a comparison between KAA, Bunnyhat, and Madman.
Although Bunnyhat looks best imo.
That might be the one that Koten_Gars used for their release on nyaa a few weeks ago. Those rips are good too, but I am not happy with their sub styling (or lack thereof).
However, there is a chance that it would take less time overall to apply SMC's styling to them than it would take to sync SMC's subs to Bunny Hat. I should give it a try this weekend.
KAA upper left
Bunny Hat bottom
Shit on right.
Bunny Hat is the best.
Haven't checked that out but it seems you're right!:
Made From The Untouched DVD ISOs
NOTE: These are the Australian DVDs w/ the Italian Remaster alongside the Studiopolis Inc. Dub (AKA Viz Dub)
Are you going to continue SMC's color coded subtitling?
I don't know how much more work that is, but it's makes things so nice.
Seriously, the only girl with true wife material.
Ah, it appears you are all horribly wrong
May I humbly introduce best girl?
>same timeslot, same channel
>aired immediately after sailor moon ended
>the entire concept of Sailor Moon is taking this character and splitting her up into multiple people
>tone was changed compared to previous series to more closely match Sailor Moon
Not gonna spoonfeed you on who she is though, pleb
True, Annos version is the best, although Ive got a soft spot for the old OVAs
Point being, if they enjoyed Sailor Moon theres no reason they wouldnt like its unofficial but for all intents and purposes sequel/spiritual succesor(and ancestor simultaneously) as well
>Are you going to continue SMC's color coded subtitling?
Of course, that is the main appeal of their subs for me, along with that they are complete.
I am talking about just syncing their subs to Bunny Hat, which won't remove their color coding, and I am wondering about trying to add their color coding to Koten_Gar's subs.
I just ask because when I got my files from SMC, the colors were dropped after the second season or so. Pic related, they all became this small yellow text.
All of my SMCs (s02-s05) had color coded subs in ASS format. Here is an example.
Maybe you have an old SMC release.
CrystalUsagi is sorta cute again
Expect for it basically being a completely different series that you watch for completely different reasons which just happens to share the same animation. It's pointless to treat it as a 'dub' of SM Classic in the first place.
If we're talking Moon's transformation music specifically, then no. The dub did that better. On the whole the original has a far wider variety of great music, so otherwise, yes, you are shit.
The biggest problem with the DiC version isn't that it's that much cornier than the Japanese version, it's that so much of it is just so bland and samey that the bulk of it is just a waste of time to watch.
While I can understand someone not being a fan of, say, dubbed auntie Luna, I couldn't understand how anyone could honestly claim that Japanese Luna is a more interesting character. Same with FemZoicite.
Also some minor fixes that I can't remember but should be listed on SMC's website.
