Sorry I was late. Had a lot of work.
>Imagine the hatesex
Helck will save everyone. Humanity will be saved, there will be peace between the various races, and everyone will get to eat Helck's delicious cooking.
You are only partly right, anon. I am sure Hyura and Edil can deal with their little problem themselves.
I'm sure at the end everything will be fine.
If you think on it there is been lot of sadness but is not as if someone relevant actually died yet, there wasn't aything that can't be solved later.
I'm sure they will find a cure for the zombie cancer and they'll spread it with cute girl power. Everything will be daijobu.
Are you at least as pretty as Edil?
I hope you don't mind my reposting these omakes that got posted in the previous thread, as I don't know if everyone's seen them, and they seem kinda topical given that one has Edil and the other Hyura
And then he can come back. Remember that even the Dark Knight guy was able to regain himself. He just did it too late after Helck beat him so hard he had no energy left to regenerate the beating anymore. The NWO style powerups for awakened essentially seem just that. They come with cost, but it's not a permanent "you are now a freakish monster forever" cost.
Isuta hugging Hyura's pretty cute
He ended up perishing because he couldn't heal the damage Helck had done to him anymore.
Saying the power killed him is pretty ridiculous when it's the only reason he was able to survive against Helck as long as he did.
If you noticed, the power long since accumulated his flesh
Don't worry, take your time; we aren't going anywhere.
Well, for Asuta's potential probability of such an event, most likely.
Azudora's a perfect, obnoxious older brother sort
Thanks for our weekly dose of suffering, man.
The suffering never ends. I used to have fun reading this.
How would you guys feel if all of the humans die by the end, including Helck?
99% of humans dying is what I expect out of the manga, any less and it would be disappointing.
It'd be a pretty bold move to have a setting where the human species isn't in the center and is nearly extinct. I'm sure most of the awakened ones are going to survive though but I don't mind it.
Anime when ? Without the shitposting ofcourse.
I couldn't stand a Helck thread being all faggots trolling and saying
>this isn't even funny
>this is retarted
>this isn't as good as it was hyped.
I can't remember what the story was with the broken Hero Killer sword.
I know Helck has part of it, but is this the other half Alicia's using here?
May the suffering never end.
Recommended this manga to a friend and he said one piece was better and Helck had no foreshadowing or good elements. Should I have faith in humanity at this point? Also another friend said that she thinks fairy tail is the best shounen, also she thinks elfen lied is more tragic than Berserk. Should we start sacrificing them as virgins?
It's coming, sooner or later one of them will bite it and the whole time all of you are going to be telling yourself each page "nope can't happen, its Helck." and then say, Helck kills Edil in front of Hyura.
And shit will go CRAZY.
Does anyone else notice a bit of blood flowing down archers arm there from blocking with the broken sword?
If that is hero killer think it will come into play at all?
I might just be crazy though
The thing about taste is that it evolves over time as you consume more of something.
In the beginning you are satisfied with the simplest of things, like a baby being perfectly happy watching a cartoon that is little more than two bouncing balls making funny noises. You don't need to look deep to be pleased by something. The more you are exposed to something however the more you start to get bored by the surface aspects and either give up on it and move on to something completely new or start examining deeper aspects. This can be applied to everything from music to food.
Helck is highly derivative of 'heroic' fictional stereotypes in both eastern and western media.
Beyond the surface layer of 'silly' the enjoyment comes from seeing where these stereotypes are subverted and where they are played straight. If one can't connect with that surface layer it's understandable they wouldn't like this manga.
At least that would be my interpretation.
To see what is good you must first have something to compare it to.
Of course the opposite of 'shit taste' is 'elitism', which I would define as someone's complete inability to enjoy the surface layer. One Piece is a perfectly enjoyable story for what it is it doesn't need to be 'deep'.
I thought Helck got the end of the sword and Alicia kept the hilt
What a great gag manga this is, right?
Yup. Nothing sad here.
And I read this at work
three people asked if I was okay
>Helck isn't blonde
>Hyura isn't brown
>Ange is not a rehead.
Her magic is fire based for fuck sake.
Blue skin is nice. What really hit me was the yellow hair. Was expecting white.
I was definitely expecting a reddish skin tone and white hair. She made me think of DQX Ogres since her first appearance.
if it gains enough traction it's more of an unfortunate inevitability
it happened to ONE's stuff, after all
just enjoy the threads while they're still small and quality.
One day. Hopefully. Honestly I would enjoy the anime and ignore the shit posters like this little hamster fuck>>138644728
We know the story is deep and honestly one of the best shounen I have read in years. We know we have a true patrician taste in the end. Cancer is inevitable but I will stay a fan through and through.
My bro. We will be under Helck's new regime when he is president.
Yeah, I'd watch a Helck anime if a competent studio got a hold of it, just like I watched OPM and will watch Mob Psycho
But it's still a shame what happens to the thread quality.
STOP DOING THIS TO MY FEELINGS!
>nobody died and they won't actually die they said
>Helck will make human world great again and everyone is going to get their happy ending they said
There were still huge glaring problems in the writing of ONE's work like repeating the joke and the predictable anticlimactic events. Plus it was the most hyped so the more popularity, the more people will try to find ways to hate it.
I still find his version of OPM to be good. I can't stand Murata's version anymore even though it's still ONE's writing. There's so much more subtle shit in ONE's scribbles + flows much better (though Murata's version basically storyboarding the next season instead). Mob Psycho is kinda meh now. Also, threads are a bit better now that the anime's over.
In the same vein, I'm happy that Kumo desu hasn't exploded yet. I honestly would have never expected to read non-pretty art and a WN, but good writing really keeps you hooked.
REMEMBER WHEN THIS WAS A LIGHTHEART COMEDY?
I really like Mikaros as a villain, sadly he will end being just a pawn of the New World and will end killed by some big fish of the NW, that will tell him something like "You really did a good job, but you aren´t useful anymore, thanks for the hard work and goodbye"
I don´t know, but maybe there are more sentient being with NW powers, I mean there is the thing with the archangels and that Mikaros said that the world will was to be reborn as the NW.
That said, I only said that before because it´s how stories usually go with these type of villains, betrayed by his own comrades.
Please be safe Asuta, Azudora. Please be okay ;_;
I just marathoned it there without knowing what the fuck I was getting into.
First half I wasn't that impressed, was fun but once Helck's past began, holy shit. The manga got so fucking good; not to mention a lot of the characters are pretty good in their respectable roles and archetypes.
nah thisll be one time op on the start of the helck's past arc. no op on any eps in the arc except for the first. episodes will use the regular ed until the last ep where the song will start up when helck is running with alicia and then the fade up with alicia with the wings, credits start playing over panovers of humans turning into nwo's, followed by antagonist characters being scheming assholes. it eventually pans up to the stars and then fades back down to helck and vam talking at the end of arc and the music fades out a bit with just instrumental. they finish talking and the credits finish with either stills of characters from the arc or just on black, while the song finishes out.
So guys, how the humans ended with only one country and almost not heroes when there used to be various countries with a great number of heroes.
There is also the fact the human castle has technology far more advanced that the rest of the country, without forgetting the ruins that were on that tropical island (it seemed like metal to me, maybe an airplane or a warship)
Could Helck world be a post-apocalyptic one?
So is the only "sane" human left is Helck? Aren't there any other humans that weren't affected by the forced awakening or maybe awakened naturally? It kinda pisses me of that humans always ends up as the bad guys.
Plenty of stories do that. Ever ready anything by Kafka?
He really isn't. He's more like a comedian who used a lot of black humor while examining nonsense/society.
He also didn't want like any of his work published so that's a little unfair.
Yeah, people tend to think of his works as "just super depressing with endings that are even more depressing" but the absurdity of the tragedy becomes comedy.
He also straight up writes some real funny dialogue.
Kafka gets a bit of a poor rap, he had a good and unique sense of humor.
Well yeah, you're right.
When I read Metamorphosis in uni I thought it was hilarious but most thought it was weird and depressing.
How is it not funny that one of this guy's first thoughts after turning into a giant bug is "shit, am I late for work? Gotta get to work"? That's brilliant.
>snow was created by
Suffering train, it has no breaks.
Sharuami snow is actually harmless, she just give more range to other people habilities, if you combine it with some type of magic then shit get serious, because aside from being able to reach a entire country, the damn snow go throught every kind of matter.
Happily, that means that if there is actually a way to save humans, Sharuami can help. And if we want to continue being dramatic, a power that takes away the awakened powers would also take it away from a natural hero like Helck, but because him was awaken since his youngest days, maybe it would have tragic effects on him (like dying or ending powerless in a wheelchair)
Everything is fine! There is nothing to worry about. I am claim and relaxed which is appropriate for the situation, because everything is fine.
By the way I was never here and if anyone asks Lars Gerhard and you have never seen me.
>remember when Helck was a gag manga??!!
Yes captain original, thank you for your contribution.
>humans were turned into living weapons
>still demon shaming
Have you guys read Kafka in German, or did you read the translated version?
I understand that the original German is very interesting and unique. Like, his writing is very weird with how sentences work.
Too bad. But I still think what he intended generally gets through really well even in English.
Yeah that's why I was asking, since I was reading about that and it made sense because the flexibility of a language can really make things more effective, especially with weird comedy. Language barriers sure suck.
this is the earliest /a/ related thing I can think of with mayonegg, but I'm sure it''s a reference to something
Dem eyes full of contempt
Dat ear poking into his cheek
I'd like to say to everyone that loves this manga in this thread, thank you. For making Helck enjoyable with funny banter and shared experience of feels and suffering. Let us see more days like these to come in Helck threads and shitposters be ignored.
Granted I only read a little Kafka while I was in school, but it's true that he has a very unique style.
One that's almost hypnotic in a strange way.
I mean his stories are all about irrational fears manifesting and his frankly gigantic neurosis, but when you're reading it, you're believing it. There's never a moment when you roll your eyes or think it's far fetched.
There's also some very equivocal parts in his stories, where it's up to you to either decipher what happened or where he managed to tell an entirely different story in his subtext.
There's this one story that ends with the mc committing suicide by jumping off a high building into a river.
And the discussion we had in class, was whether the text implied that the guy was having an orgasm while doing so.
I guess that's why you call it Kafkaesque.
Cool and fascinating stuff, sir German.
Kind of eye opening really.
HOPE RIDES ALONE
Some one needs to edit this with Helck holding Alicia
Just picked it up a few weeks ago, thinking I was going into a fun, gag manga
