The thing about taste is that it evolves over time as you consume more of something.
In the beginning you are satisfied with the simplest of things, like a baby being perfectly happy watching a cartoon that is little more than two bouncing balls making funny noises. You don't need to look deep to be pleased by something. The more you are exposed to something however the more you start to get bored by the surface aspects and either give up on it and move on to something completely new or start examining deeper aspects. This can be applied to everything from music to food.

Helck is highly derivative of 'heroic' fictional stereotypes in both eastern and western media.
Beyond the surface layer of 'silly' the enjoyment comes from seeing where these stereotypes are subverted and where they are played straight. If one can't connect with that surface layer it's understandable they wouldn't like this manga.

First half I wasn't that impressed, was fun but once Helck's past began, holy shit. The manga got so fucking good; not to mention a lot of the characters are pretty good in their respectable roles and archetypes.

nah thisll be one time op on the start of the helck's past arc. no op on any eps in the arc except for the first. episodes will use the regular ed until the last ep where the song will start up when helck is running with alicia and then the fade up with alicia with the wings, credits start playing over panovers of humans turning into nwo's, followed by antagonist characters being scheming assholes. it eventually pans up to the stars and then fades back down to helck and vam talking at the end of arc and the music fades out a bit with just instrumental. they finish talking and the credits finish with either stills of characters from the arc or just on black, while the song finishes out.
