Who the fuck else cried at the end?!?

Me, fucking rivers!
>mfw the entire letter
>"I love you"
Fuuuuuuuuuuuucccccccck
Was too melodramatic for me.

Hurts more when you re-watch it
Drama for the sake of drama.
>>138309832
I recommend FMA:B if you think this is too melodramatic

Kousei's last spiritual duet with Kaoru made no sense, how'd he know that she died during the recital? Would've been more dramatic if they just showed Kousei playing the piano and cut to Kaoru dying on the operating table or something.

Japan. That's all.
But in all seriousness, he's pessimistic. Probably thought she was dead while he was performing. Still can't recover after listening to the note afterwards T_T

read the manga?
Most bullshit ending ever. The random metaphysical clouds and shit ruined it for me. IMO music anime is better without all the extra shit like floating spheres of light and floating cherry petals. Doing that just sends the serious into the ridiculous. Music anime is about the interplay between the player and the piece, incorporating both. There's no need for glowy bullshit in a good show, which Your Lie could have been.
Oh yeah, and her reasoning for not seducing him with song and then dating him was dumb.

Watched this last week and already knew how it ended. Still cried like a bitch.

Me too. First time crying in an anime since FMA:B. And believe me, I've watched anime for so many years now. This hit close to home

I actually thought he would considered killing himself at the end
>>138311257
Naw. How could he, when the annoying childhood friend had to win?
>>138311308
Tsubaki must experiences depression!
>>138310702
Most westerners don't read the manga, sadly

I loved it when I first read it, but her VA was so wooden while reading the letter in the anime, it totally killed it for me.
