Mostly because the quality their shows are usually very poor. There are a few exceptions but they are few and far between.

They rarely do a good job.

DEEN should just stick to comedy or something slow paced. They can't animate action scenes with consistent quality.

Pretty sure the writing staff were pretty much the same, Log Horizon's issues were due to poor pacing, the arcs available not being particularly great particularly in adapted form, and then not having enough to adapt when it started to move into much more interesting territory.
