Toradora was just okay, not great but there's a lot out there that's worse.

Would've been better if Taiga and whatever the fuck the MC was called confessed to each other around 10 episodes earlier and the rest of the series was focused on the two dealing with that.

Too much drama but the thing that got me the most was Ryuji being forced to confess to Taiga. It was fucking infuriating to watch and really soured the entire show for me. The year timeskip was salt on the wounds.

Nah i liked the concept of them helping each other date each others best friends, was pretty a unique concept but then it had to to turn towards the generic route.

Romance genre really is shitty in anime and only a few good manga.

The concept fell apart quickly in execution since said best friends were lame characters and it bluntly seemed more irrational that Taiga and Ryuji didn't have romantic feelings towards each other.

They haven't been given any really good properties, which I guess could mean they used to make an effort to get them and now stopped, but we don't really know. They have Amanchu coming up, but besides that, I can't think of the last property where they felt it was worth bringing in a talented director from outside, and they've only used Kasai this decade for Bakuman and fucking Love Stage.
