I feel like modern anime creators don't care much about colors anymore.
Back int the days, they had to really choose the right color or else everything won't fit well.
Right now they can just slap digital filters on it.
Also digital color grading make the palette looks too monotonic.

I don't really like PA works' coloring too, it just seems bland in my eyes. NagiAsu has nice coloring, though I didn't watch it fully because of muh melodrama.

I just finished this series and I´m currently too lazy to take specific screens. But Kara no Kyoukai used color to great effect. The abandoned cityscapes alongside the moody coloration which provided high contrasts as well as a overall cohesive design, in addition i noticed the coloration to convey specific emotions, but the overall feeling was portrayed with these colors was something truly memorable.

The message of the finale was not clear cut but, powerful nonetheless. I can't wait to see the Epilogue and some of the OVA's. The Shiki vs Rio was a perfect reflection on Morals of Humanity. There are no threads up but, I'll make one later.
