If anything, Rokka was just forgettable. The glacial pacing really crippled it. It wasn't the kind of story that benefited from that. It just felt like everything was being dragged out for one absurdly long whodunnit. The entire premise never even got off the ground. All you're left with is another adaptation that doesn't go anywhere and only serves as an advertisement for the source.

Personally, I had a hard time even caring about any of the characters beyond maybe Fremy, and that was entirely on the strength of Aoi Yuuki's performance.
