I actually don't understand the inclusion of Nagi as a character. I liked her scenes but it felt weird so late in the show to add in another new character, and even go as far as to have subtly romantic feelings towards Kousei.

If thats what you like, thats fine. But this was cheesy as hell outside of the musical scenes. I like drama as an aspect of a show, not just shoved into scenes just to make it more aad. Hell CLANNAD had a lot more humor and less melodrama than this shit. Maybe even Angel beats and Anohana

There's nothing wrong about you liking it. But whether you consider it to be well written or I consider it unneccessary, I think its clear that this show spends more time on its drama/sad parts than other shows (including other shows focused on drama).

And I just don't think thats a direction that makes a good show or a story.

I really liked it. The music is good, the story is interesting, the drawing is beautiful. Thats all that a good show needs.

OSHIETE KURETA

As a trained piano player who could play most of the music on this show, I really felt that the performances were very bland, especially with pieces from Romantic composers.

I think Nodame Cantabile suffered from the same problem, in that many of the pieces seemed to have been played by a score-reading computer than an actual human. The emotion just doesn't seem to be there.

It's unfathomable to me how people can love this thoroughly mediocre show as much as they do. In absolutely no regard does this show warrant appreciation on the level it gets. I kept watching because it got regular threads here and people were praising it quite a bit, so i thought i was missing something and watched the show until the end. Turns out i didn't miss anything. Turns out it was just a collective of faggots with shit taste whose power to circlejerk surpassed those of other fanbases. There is absolutely no reason, i repeat NO REASON for anyone to rate this "the 13th best anime of all time". What the fuck is wrong with you people. Fuck you and your mediocre melodrama snoozefest.
