If you're worried about your mp3 player or video player not being able to open the files you can use freeware to convert the .flac files to .m4a (aka ALAC?), they should keep the full quality and it's compatible with pretty much everything.

Or you could use the same software to convert to .mp3, pretty sure they have that option.
