Is the first game/VN of Underwater any fun /a/, or is the anime adaption superior?
Dead show anon. The next episode is tomorrow.
I know. It's one of my AOTS
You think I'm just going to forget the airdate?
The anime is an alright adaptation and It has a couple scenes that I really enjoyed, but overall I would play the VN. The story is overall told better and is more impactful by the time you are reading the epilogue. Not to mention you get to play a basic SRPG sometimes.
The anime took out all the fun. The game is words words words but it's actually fun and very challenging.
Plus you can fap to the game.
Both the anime and game are worth experiencing. Make sure you grab the voice patch for the game.
So it's going to be like emperor's meeting and generals reactions, lel twin sex slave antics and Mikazuchi Oshitoru talk with the second cour starting the war in Uzurussia.
The first anime had far better pacing.
And a far better OP KIN
Also, Darth Vader is Luke Skywalker's father.
I am a time traveler from the year 1980.
This show is nothing but fluff and harem. It's taking way too long to get into the action-adventure "plot".
I've had several people come up to me and start talking about the show as if I'd never seen it before and pointing out how much Rurutie reminded them of me. It's getting out of hand.
PC ver never.
Translated PC ver never.
Ruru is a qt. I wish I was that cute. I also wish they didn't shit on her character so badly in the anime.
The pacing in the game wasn't great either, basically SoL with the occasional battle up until the war with Uzrussia and from then on it is 95% plot until the end of the game. EP 13-25 should be 95% plot.
in the canon ending
She doesn't, she gives birth first then I think dies during childbirth. She's the only one who actually gets to pass on hakuro's divine genes. Who her daughter is should be obvious if you're watching the current season.
Guess it's time to start looking for a torrent.
I sure hope it goes smoother than the last time.
One thing to keep in mind, if your OS recent, the batles will go super mach 5 fast and make it near impossible to time some combos. Way too get around this is to run cheat engine and set speedhacks to 1x
This is so untrue it hurts. First adaptation is spot on, including the BD specials. Also, it doesn't take 20 hours or skill or Windows to enjoy. Can't comment on the new one, because I haven't played the game, but I hear it's pretty close.
Not so fast. If you change the movement speed setting in the menu even once, it fixes itself.
I beat the game a month ago. Those tutorials are something else.
Probably because there isn't really anything to discuss.
>mfw I can't decide on if I should play the game or watch the anime
In the first game
Does Hakuro come back?[ played it a long time ago and seem to recall it's hinted at it. Does he even get mentioned in the second game beyond little nuances like Haku getting the fan? The ending still kinda leaves a bitter taste after finally getting the harem and managing to get one pregnant then she dies. on top of that the out of no where ending with Hakuro.
As of right now i beleive hes dead. Or atleast noones mentioned he's alive, theres still the 2nd game, but im pretty sure hes going to stay dead, kinda ruins the bittersweet end of 1 anyway.
Wasn't he just sealed at the end of 1 for being a god of destruction or something? And there really is nothing bittersweet about the end of one. The main character you grow attached to is removed from the story, Yuzuha dies, Oboro leaves The harem I think ends with "we'll wait for you..." I know Eruru is for sure alone for life. the others maybe not. It's just stabbing pain all over. The only "sweet" part is Kuon living I guess.
I got all excited too. I never get to participate in the streams because of volunteer work.
We did last week because screenshot dumps and an actually cool fight. We didn't get a followup thread though.
You're probably due for a rewatch anyway.
Would personally recommend the 1st VN, but if you're not up for that start with the 1st anime+ specials. Its not the best quality, but ive heard its a decent adaption, though rushed in many areas.
Nah there's one more.
Fair warning it's going to be plot-heavy as fuck from here on out
Does that mean the comfy is over?
Oshutoru dies in an assassination attempt saving Haku and Nekone - with his dying breath he gives Haku his mask and asks him to take his place as general and protect Nekone and Anju.
Haku agrees and gives the fan to Kuon, telling her 'Haku' died in the assassination attempt. Kuon breaks down sobbing 'My Haku... my Haku... my Haku...' and runs back to her country thinking her love is dead.
So technically what he's saying is correct.
This isn't actually what happens.
Oshutoru cucking Haku and Kuon falling for Oshutoru is one step too far. I wanted to like this but I can't deal with that shit.
Oshutoru cucking Kuon and Kuon falling for "Oshutoru" is one step too far.
Fixed for accuracy.
Haku is what happens when you dump SP into Luck, and it actually does something for a change.
Step 1.1: create male character, but don't touch any* of the sliders in the character creator, to ensure that he's moderately appealing, or at worst, unassuming.
*in this case, the hair is an exception, being slightly longer than average
Seriously, when it comes to character customization with sliders, 9/10 you're better off leaving the male character as is than trying to create something
It has a habit of ending horribly
Don't shows take a beak the week of Christmas and new years normally? so 1 more ep till the season starts normally jan3ish? I remember always getting about a week to work on my backlog during the holiday season.
Gotta love her super genes. I don't think even carrier's super strength body had a tail that strong.
Gifting's MC sure wishes he could trade I'm sure. Difference in being the comedic fall guy I guess. Speaking of gifting the character designs for the anime look so weird. I can't place what it is about them but Aqua sure looks nothing like her LN/manga counterpart
But she can lift people with her tail. I bet mam-big sister kaura is proud. I'm really surprised she didn't go back and hang out with her little brother after hakuro in all honesty. She's by far the one I expected to just up and leave after he did. Much more so then oboro.
Good luck with doing that and thinking you could get away. Anon if she wants you somewhere, chances are you are going to be there. Maybe some of her family can get away/force her to do something I doubt anyone else aside from the tech side can.
But she did for a while. She went and had her fun (Touka helped) and now that it's all out of her system, she can lay low, take it easy, and run a successful business for the foreseeable future (Touka helps). I'm sure she occasionally checks up on her ototo.
Each individual member of her family (barring Eruruu) could, and probably would kill you in a number of horrifying ways.
And Aruru... directly anyway. She is just a normal girl on her own. as I mentioned there's very very few forces in that world that have been shown that can rival her family in strength, and that even includes her with her
When did it talk about her ever doing anything after Hakuro? I thought the last time you see her solo is when she seduces him after saving her brother and he tells her it's ok to stay. And I wonder if her in her travels she stayed as slutty. She sure didn't seem to have a problem with Haku. Now that I think about it. How the hell did she even rope Touka of all people into going? They're never really shown as being that close. Didn't Touka ever figure out she got tricked when she told her how to get pregnant?
Hakuro is the father. The show basically force feeds it to you when it says her mother isn't around and she was raised by a bunch of mothers. If you saw the first show it should immediately have clicked on the visit episode. If not, go watch/read it.
I saw it a long time ago and played the game but I wasn't sure.
I remembered reading it thanks to you. It happens when you spend everyday reading LNs that mollify the mind.
It says her mother's not around, The harem would only raise someone very close to Hakuro or themselves. Out of all the harem only one had a child. Said mother died. I actually almost cried when that episode hit because of realizing who she was. brought up old wounds.
Bird a best
They actually said that at some point if I remember right. The only reason she even lived through the pregnancy was because of his divine genes. She didn't have much time when Hakuro met her. She likely would have died before without Kuon. That's a silver lining I guess. Kuon wasn't her actual cause of death, but instead extended her life.
they better tag team with touka or this show is useless
maybe he shoulda saved some juice for her in a jar so she could keep popping out kids to stay alive
she was probably overjoyed that someone beyond oboro even talked to her, having a child was probably the happiest time of her life
I can appreciate the sentiment, and maybe it's my modern sense of morality acting up here, but it nonetheless feels inappropriate to stick it in your friend's cripple sister.
you should play the VN anyways since there's actual combat involved and all the girls are fantastic
I've never played a VN with a more 'chill' atmosphere. Maybe its just the animal girls.
You should play the VN.
Protip: the "skill" stat is used to get multiple hits in on one attack. You have to click at the right time during the attack to get another hit in. I don't think anything in-game actually tells you this.
>tfw watched S1 thinking comfy as S2
fuck you /a/ why didn't you warned me?
Not at my PC at the moment, but thanks for the heads up.
I got whatever this is
It being a pornographic title though I figured there'd be no voices.
Then you fucked up, because there's a voice patch that uses voices from the PS2 version. I'd recommend just downloading the mofumoe torrent. It's known to work and includes everything.
I just find that RPGs or at least turn based strategic ones tend to become rather drawn out and I just don't feel engaged in the plot when it's 1/100th of the time spent. I just loose interest and become incredibly detached.
Good thing the game is 80% VN and 20% TRPG.
As I said earlier, if you've got 15-20 hours to kill, don't mind the mild eroge elements, and run Windows, play the game. It's better than you'd think, and with the odd exception of Karula, fleshes out the characters better, by virtue of being basically a book.
If you'd prefer a more condensed, streamlined experience, or don't meet all of the criteria above, watch the anime, and the BD specials.
They're both great either way, and if you find time, you should do both. I'd start with the anime because it's significantly faster to complete, then play the game to see all the events of the anime in slightly better context.
Admit it - you're going to miss the comfy now that we plot now
I still feel weird seeing Hakuro's daughterus all grown up
It'll start soon, but really, the damage is already done. The original had a nice steady progression, and zany fujoshi antics for half the story just can't compare.
