That would make for too quick a death.
The emotion on his face here.
Reading through the manga as OP posts, tell me i'm not the only one feeling for Guts here?
I picked up Berserk late, like 2 years ago, and what surprised me the most was that as it was regularly advertised was kinda total bullshit. YES there is crazy action, YES there is rape and gore, but it's really well written and really emotional. People regularly say the Eclipse is incredible because it's metal as fuck, and while that's true, what really makes it incredible is the emotional shit going on.
Great series, deserves all the praise it gets.
that was probably not the appropriate course of action
Guts in Gambino place right now, with his relationship with Isidoro, and i say, Guts grown much beter father, than Gambino. Gambino was totally ASSHOLE!
Thing i love about these early chapters is that Guts is an emotional child. Even with all the killing and beatings he recieves (Given the world he lives in) he is still at this a child.
Great character development for sure'
Arguably isn't this fate?
Like the only reason he is alive despite having completed given up is that he was meant to be a sacrifice?
Granted when the eclipse takes place things don't go as the Death Hand expect (And obviously everything Guts does there after) but surely all Golden Age Arc is predicted etc.
Guts survival is usually described as going AGAINST fate. There are several times where, really, he should have died and yet he didn't. The brand is the thing that really represents this. He should be dead, that's what that mark means, and yet he persists.
Hey, isn't that the one "command" for the members of the God Hand?
Man if Guts could go back in time, he'd slaughter him the page after this.
This part was always so absurd to me.
>Hey! Look at that guy!
>Let's rob him!
>WHAT THE FUCK WHAT AN ASSHOLE
>Go stop him Casca
>WHAT THE FUCK STOP DEFENDING YOURSELF
[Griffith steps in and finishes it]
>Man, what an idiot; standing up to Griffith
yeah but if he had publicly wooed for the princess, and he could convince other people/nobles he'd made a good match for her, the king would be in a worse situation to deny him. At least couldn't look him up and torture him 'til he's a cripple
>they finally got off the boat
>we will never get an english translation
