What is it about Mugendramon and Chimairamon that make them so powerful when they Jogress? Individually, they're not really that special. I mean, yes, there was once a time when Mugendramon was the strongest, but that was when the highest level you could achieve was Perfect. Omegamon is my all-time favorite Royal Knight, even if nearly every high-tier digimon after Our War Game were based off of an Omegamon-style jogress. The only other Omegamon fusion I kind of liked was Susanoomon, more for the design and concept rather than the way it was portrayed in Frontier.

Dukemon also a best.

There was a sort of story arc some years back for the Digimon franchise, detailing around an event in the Digital World. The Digital World was overloaded, its population having grown far beyond predicted boundaries. Yggdrasil, the host computer for the Digital World, thus concocted a plan. It unleashed the X Program, designed to wipe out a certain number of Digimon. Digimon killed by this program would not reincarnate as would normally occur. Instead, they simply stop living altogether. Afterwards, Yggdrasil moved everything a New Digital World, in a sort of "Noah's Arc" like scenario.

However, certain Digimon grew resistant to the X Program. They developed something called an X-Antibody. In addition to rendering them immune to the X Program's effects, it also altered their appearances and strengthened them considerably. To Yggdrasil, this was undesirable, and it mobilized the Royal Knights to wipe out any Digimon who bore the X-Antibody.

That's about the gist of it. It's no longer relevant since that particular arc's passed a long time ago.

It was a mini-comic that came with the Pendulum X toy, a variant of the original V-pet. This V-pet was the origin of everything that is "X-Antibody" related.

Jou, I think, is stuck in indecision, the same way as Taichi is during Movie 1. He is stuck in the difficult journey towards his dreams, where his best doesn't amount to much, and the responsibility he surely must have felt on being the one of the 8 Digidestined in the country to handle the new Digimon attacks. The biggest problem in Movie 1 is that he just can't be sincere towards his friends. He's busy, yeah, but he didn't even mention that his business is wearing him down, isolating him from the other Digidestined and perhaps even breaking him from the inside. He can't even say to the others what he wanted to say when they meet under the bridge.

I'm not even sure how Mimi will help Jou out of this. Will she tell her to change his dreams? Or to sacrifice his dreams? Not a very Mimi thing to do. Will she somehow make it so he can achieve his required test scores even while fighting the Infected Digimon?

Well, that's just the crux of the problem, isn't it? He's the only UN Diplomat handling Digital-Earth relations and perhaps the most trusted of these, but that left him a massive responsibility. Using the Digital World laws, that are based on a different conception of creation, to create a law (in that world) that would allow him to marry his sister is essentially abusing his position as a trusted Human Diplomat in foreign territory to execute an illegal act. The Digital World may not bat an eye at Taichi-Hikari marriage, but the Human World would treat him differently.

In fact, there might not be a Digital-Human relations at all. To be fair, ultimates rarely resembles their perfect forms, usually bearing one or two traits in common rather than being a straight continuation of the perfect. I think the only exceptions are Rizegreymon to Shinegreymon, Savior Hackmon to Jesmon, and maybe the Xros Wars originals if you count their super evolutions as their final forms as they mostly use fusion as their method to grow stronger.

The thing is anon, that one of Joe's main issues in the first series was that his father wants him to follow a carreer path he might not even sure if he likes or wants. He also talked with one of his brothers about it and got the advice advice from him to follow a path of his own, that he really doesn't even have to become a doctor just because he was told that.

He applied some of that advice to his circumstances back then, and right after he helped Mimi to find her own path.

But then after they defeated Apocalimon, we haven't see him but to be full invested in continuing the path in becoming a doctor. Tests and Tests. It became a running gag he was always away from the others because he was always in cram school or making tests.

And it seems that right now it's finally taken a toll on him. And who else but Mimi to be the one that hears him when (or if) he starts to breakdown. After all, he was the one there when she was in a similar predicament.

I'm sure Mimi wouldn't tell him to give up his dreams or something like that, probably she will be the same as Shun and advice him the same.
