I watched the 7 episode OVA1 and then the first 2 movies and enjoyed it a ton. I'm not sure if I want to go in for the long haul of the 47 episode long tv series.

Patlabor 2 felt more preachier than 1, same as with GITS 2: Innocence. But then we have things more grounded like Jinro
