This would be fanservice if it aired in the Roaring Twenties, right?
The twenties are still 5 years off. Who knows what will be popular then?
Now this is still fanservice even by today's standards.

Implying late XX century's fanservice isn't the best.

Fuck, I meant late XIX.
Subtle fanservice like this is the best.

I love how Kaori Moru adds little fanservice here and there. There was that breast shot complete with nipple in Otoyomegatari and there was also another cloth change scene in Shirley.

casual nudity > everything else
Ha, that looks nothing like the Little Women anime.

And that's still more than lolis show these days.

Oh look, more literary references.
First one is Wuthering Heights, second one is Jane Eyre, and I don't know the third one. "Kyouei no Ichi" is the title in Japanese.

>a novel without a hero
What a fitting title. Everyone there is portrayed negatively. The bitchy heroine gets a somewhat happy ending while other nicer characters don't. This, combined with the above, is why I'm reluctant to read it even though it's supposed to be a classic. Also the reason why I don't read Gone With The Wind. Scarlett is supposedly real bitchy and I'm not sure if I can handle her through that long novel, without her getting a comeuppance in the end. She's the best example on how a "strong female character" doesn't have to be good or nice.

WMT got released with Japanese subtitles on DVD because it's for kids, I suppose.

Huh, this gave me a boner.

Leg shots are always sexy, anon.
The original also had wacky illustrations like this, right?
I want to buy this.
It's hilarious enough in written form, but now it's even more hilarious with actual images.
First time I see a mermaid wearing a shell hat.
