WSJD begins with Boku no Hero Academia.
No World Trigger this week, returns next week, Ashihara is sick.
I do like how Shigaraki has no interest in Stain's ideals.
>No World Trigger this week,
>I need night-vision goggles.
No you don't, Mineta.
Also, invisible boobs
No, this time he's come down with something. He already was off a week two weeks ago, although the series is usually off after four weeks. So, he caught a cold or something.
>hair that beckons to you, telling you to ruffle it
Why isn't he drowning in bitches again?
What chapter is this referring back to? Can't remember shit, captain.
Deku looks like he's been continuously working out on his own since his 10 month beach bootcamp. I wouldn't be surprised that underneath his clothing, he's even more sculpted than he already was before.
He is always training: when he waited for the answer of the enrollment test he lifted weights, when he is studying he is strengthening his grip strength, in classes he is sitting using an air chair, while Gran Torino was sleeping he tried to get a better handling of OFA.
And even this chapter his training didn't stop, he wanted to buy wrist weights because he probably was inspired by Hatsume's invention. Wouldn't be surprised if he asks her to give him some of her inventions to train.
Oops, turns out I didn't even read last week's chapter. Completely forgot to.
I dunno, I just thought he was an edgy kid who wore a goofy bird mask. I should have expected he literally had a bird head given Horikoshi's other mango though.
I actually kind of like him less now unfortunately.
We haven't seen here use anything. A vampire-ish quirk seems like a good bet, but I think it might be interesting if she was quirkless too.
I don't think a threat needs to have a quirk to be threatening, necessarily. Stain has quite a weak quirk, even. Every superhero story needs its Batman.
Initially I thought Dabi would obviously have a flame projection quirk but now I'm not as sure, because obviously both Endeavour and Todoroki have that. Something different would be more interesting.
A quirkless character who's actually a threat on one side or the other will be great, but personally I'm hoping they hold on a bit longer and give it to someone a bit less... quirky.
I'm not actually much of a Batman fan, but lots of not!Batmen are pretty good. Like Moon Knight, Midnighter, this dude.
What if his quirk burns the soul? Needing body and eye contact to the target. Sorta like ghost rider.
>read fallen angels before finding this thread
>tfw regret it due to shitty translation that misinterpret every single conversation for every character.
>understand and enjoy everything
Please fallen angel why are you so garbage?
You niggas know this is true and this is how it will end!
>Viz's reader isn't that great
That's the reason. I have 1080p screen and it still shrinks shit. Even if I eventually stop dumping chapters, I'll probably still rip issues to get their actual resolutions
But yeah, you can still pay for it. 25 bucks for a year's worth of manga.
I totally agree. It suck that everyone is so hard on FA, but when I read both Viz and FA, their both pretty much read the same, give or take a couple things and some of the superfluous edginess on FA's part. For the most part, I like the way the characters are depicted vs. Viz's translation. Plus, come on. Who doesn't like a good "logical ruse", right?
Cute. I'm ok with this. More of Tsuyu x Deku guy myself, but Ochako is obviously a strong runner-up in my book. Plus, I know Tsuyu x Deku will never happen. I have one question though. Bakugou has kids, but who would be Bakumom then?
See this page as as example. The Japanese spoilers, the Chinese translations, the Korean translations and Fallen Angels all agree that the cigarette smoking man says something along the lines of "She can hold a conversation, just about." Viz instead put something about ideologies.
>yfw your OTP is shipped by the author
It's a weird compression artefact from scaling the pages down. It's not there in the full size pages like the one up here >>133892312 .
How does scaling down what should be pure white end up as a repeated pattern of gray dots? Fuck if I know, I'm no computer scientist.
I'm so happy for him. He had to go through two painful cancellations (the first of which still haunts him) and now he's finally made it big. I can't imagine how that would feel man. Good job, you fabulous Nip hand-guy.
I really hope BnHA breaks the whole stereotype with Shonen jump Manga where the MC can actually be in a Canon relationship.
I want Deku and Uraraka to be dating officially but have the Manga not make a big deal about it. Maybe just one or two filler chapters during downtime where they go on a date and things are awkward until they do some hero stuff
>implying Zoo was good Bulge was shit meme
Zoo was shit. Bulge had potential.
Just wait until Deku very own´s smashes being like the Shiina attacks, his hood is clearly a reference to this guy (aside from All Might)
>Todo goes to see his mom every weekend
Horikoshi clearly likes it but that doesn't mean it's good. It had two rescue arcs for the same side-character within the first twenty chapters, Shiina's endless "I only do what's fun and being with my nakama is fun so I'm going to fight to protect the things I care about" got old painfully fast and most of the side characters were boring and repetitive. It was a clear victim of editors pushing to make it more generic combined with Horikoshi having no idea how to pace an arc.
Well, Uraraka obviously likes him, and Tsuyu speaks to him more commonly than she does with others (she really tries being pal-sy/cute however- she typically uses -chan for most of the class).
Todoroki tho. His profile even mentioned his body to be super toned.
Horikoshi is weirdly attentive to this sort of stuff. He constantly slips back into calling her Asui because he's an overly polite dork. In the moonrunes he very rarely uses plain forms- he's generally polite to the point where IRL he'd get made fun of for being, as mentioned, and overly polite dork. Fitting really.
Speaking like that to good friends or people you're really familiar with would likely get you a "Stop talking to me like you're my grandmother!"
As a filthy gaijin however in Japan excessive politeness is generally as a sign you're not totally familiar with Japanese, or that you're terrified of offending people. Most people will ignore it or consider it kind of endearing.
He literally says it was a coincidence and says it must have been fate.
Hands went shopping to calm down and happened to run into the UA kids. Simple as that.
Basically just taking a short squat like you're sitting in a chair and holding it. He was hovering above the seat of his chair instead of actually sitting in it.
If you pay attention during a lot of his idle time Midoriya is constantly doing isometric exercises or fiddling with a grip strengthener or something of the nature.
Holy shit it fucking is. That went right over my head.
I for real no-joke hope Horikoshi goes for some classic cape comic plot twists that never happen in Shounen.
Personally I know that Japanese readers would flip the fuck out and drop the series but I'd love to see Horikoshi do the tried and true "Hero suffers false death" cliche.
Have Midoriya AND All Might die in the same arc. All Might for real, Midoriya not. Make it a brutal double gut-punch, complete with a funeral and emotional breakdowns and stages-of-grief arcs for the main cast. Then literally go a full arc or two with him "dead", maybe even have one of his friends step up and take his mantle and everyone have to muddle on without him and then have him come back from the dead at the critical moment.
Granted when Superman did it, it was fucking awful but Batman, Spidey, and others have done this and had some really fucking fantastic comics come out of it. Peter Parker's death/funeral in particular was fantastic.
I don't know.
Granted on paper BnHA following comic book tropes and twist sound more fun than if it follow manga traditional stereotype, but then you realize that nearly 90% of comicbook tropes & twist are terrible.
The problem with it in American comics is that American comics never ever ever ever end. The universe just gets reset endlessly.
The death/return thing is a bit more impactful when it's a series that definitively ENDS at some point. Yeah, it'd be lame if BnHA was a 5000 chapter monster and he died every other year but it's not.
so aparently he wont desintegrate what he touches unless he uses all 5 fingers. will he hold deku like that while they drink coffee and then leave? i dont see how any hero can save deku from this one and i doubt deku tries something recless. unless all might or aizawa shows up what could make shigaraki stop bullying deku?
>All he needs to do is threaten to hurt a random person if deku leaves.
He could do more than that. The absolute scariest thing about Deku's position, from his perspective at least, isn't that Shigaraki has him in a vice-grip. It's that he knows Deku's name, which means that he knows who Deku cares about.
Deku won't die unless last chapter is an epilogue with him as an Old Might having already passed the torch.
But I would love it if final bossu AFO gets tag teamed by All Deku and a tantrum sperging Shigaraki.
He's going to go for X-Men twists, considering this is Marvel-inspired. So there'll be like a Phoenix Force blessing people with quirks and that possesses
Togaand Deku and the gang have to turn her back to normal to save the world, or have someone be an inverse Magneto trying to create a nation for the quirkless.
>Japanese cold already
Because everyone else is hotter than him? He's short, and quite muscular(like everyone else) and his face is not something to write home about either.
Zuko or Bakugo are hotter
Ultimate Spiderman's death was one of the best comics I read. In the funeral Aunt May screaming at captain america it was his fault was heartbreaking.
And his final fight was amazing. Saves steve and gets shot instead, then goes and kicks sinister 6 ass but dies.
I'd like seeing something as emotional on BnHA
I wonder if people would say this about someone who would be considered handsome otherwise if half their face wasn't charred. Like, if Todoroki were real, what still be able to consider attractive?
>Shilling this hard
Stop being so blatant. Viz is fucking awful most of the time when they start mellowing down the translations or just go and change entire dialogues that may be perceived as bad in murica
That depends on how his scar translates to IRL. Burn scars can be really fucking ugly.
I'm actually surprised he's not self-conscious about it. It seems like something everyone and their grandmother would come up to him about and start asking questions. Also staring.
Not that other anon, but you can only go so far with language before you have to change the ranking to 16+ instead of 13+. Which is fucking stupid, but the rankings there are completely out of their hands.
As for the translation itself: Viz fucks up occasionally (crossing my fingers and hoping they'll fix it in the volume releases), but their overall accuracy is better.
>I'm actually surprised he's not self-conscious about it.
It might help that a hefty number of people have bizarre body changes from their quirks. The BnHA world in general seems to be more accepting towards people looking different, so people coming up to him and asking questions may be less commonplace than it would be here.
i think it would be more badass for all-might to die as no-might (right after deku fully absorbs OFA) than in a super battle with AFO
It would be a nice way to cement the words he told Deku at the start of the series
