i was just disappointed anon, i pulled myself through the first half of the first season hoping it would get better. But it didn't.
I felt the story had potential but instead of developing characters and moving the plot along we get a serious-ish ( people dying etc) show trying to be a comedy as well.

Eh...there was never really a cliffhanger for me, there was no way Ishibumi was going to kill her, Rizer ? yeah sure, but Ravel? nope.
As to why he did it? for a bit of drama i guess as small as it was, quickly resolved shallow "drama" is nothing new in DxD.
