Magi Theard ? Magi Theard
>Ohtaka's art has been sloppy overall lately
Not really and this arc is moving quite slow for something being "cut short".
arc opening chapters need to be catchy, but they're already falling in quality pretty rapidly, sure but it's gonna be the last arc when it was supposed to be running for way longer
The new chief editor of WSS said that they're cutting down a lot of shounen series, and Ohtaka said that the story is at it's half point at the magnostadt war arc, that ended around chapter 200 and the last arc started in 282. Either she can't count for shit or it's just as people have said and magi gets cut short.
>but they're already falling in quality pretty rapidly
Not really the previous chapters of this arc and even some of the panels in this chapter looked just fine.
>but it's gonna be the last arc when it was supposed to be running for way longer
Pretty sure Ohtaka said that the start of Alma Tora was the halfway point, so that doesn't imply that it was suppose to run for as long as you thought it would. Also we don't know how long this arc is going to last.
>Sinbad: "That's right, the current emperor of the Kou Empire is someone very dear to you, Alibaba-kun."
Fish Princess is now Fish Empress?
Budel is obvious. Pirate leader is Ryosai's douchebag officer from way back then.
Can't wait for the SML brothers cameo.
>her series got cut short
>falling in quality pretty rapidly
>it was supposed to be running for way longer
After magnostadt she claimed to be halfway done. If the final arc is ~100 chapters long wich is easily done with this calm and detailed pacing, it will mean she stuck to her original plan.
>The new chief editor of WSS said that they're cutting down a lot of shounen series
Isn't Magi one of their top 3 manga along with Silver Spoon and Detective Conan. Pretty sure Magi sold better than both this year and Magi even has a spinoff manga. Cutting it short would be weird.
>It would be pretty pointless to call it the final arc if it lasts for 100+ chapters
Not really arcs can be as short or as long as they need to be and most shonen do that.
The only other proper battle shounen I'm reading is HxH so yeah...
Still sounds pretty stupid but whatever if you guys want to believe then more power to you
You're referring to this right?
>However, his vision for the magazine still includes experienced writers for a mix of new and old.
>Ohtaka’s Backstage vol.133
>If I’m going to make an estimation of how much of the entire story is covered at this point, it’s probably about one fourth.
I was wrong, it was allegedly 1/4 done near the beginning of Magnostadt, not 1/3. I guess Ohtaka covered a lot of material faster than she thought.
You can dig around if you want but people have been saying that Magi and Detective conan are likely to get canned.
I just doubt HxH is a good comparsion in any sense.
Oh god, how I've missed these cheeky grins and heart-warming smiles. This is the Magi I fell in love with way back when. After the super edginess and seriousness of the last arc that got old real fast, I'm glad to see this series regaining some of that classic fun-loving charm.
He didn't say "Everything goes" like you think he did. There are close to 30 series running in Sunday, so obviously a couple of old guard bestsellers like Conan and Magi will keep on doing their thing till they are done.
What is pretty stupid is to think a final arc will be short.
Magnostadt alone was 70 chapters long.
You claim to read Hiatus x Hiatus, and the Ant arc was over a 100 chapters long.
>Detective conan are likely to get canned
>people have been saying that Magi and Detective conan are likely to get canned
People are idiots, what else is new
>classic fun-loving charm
>Cassim dies in Balbadd
>Dunya dies in Sindria
>Titus dies in Magnostadt
Magi was always a mix of adventure, comedy, action and drama, why do you nostalgiafags deny this so hard
> that hair in the middle panel
My fucking dick.
Hopefully 2, I want to see Drakon's transformation.
Surprisingly we most likely going Air Gear on this, save Sinbad ending. What's funny is that when I think of O'great, the ending was decent if you ignore late shipping, forgetting characters, and that the ride was retarded as fuck 2nd half.
As in the final battle was pretty fucking sweet, same vibes from Magi, but it hasn't lost everything yet.
Yeah nah, his whole character is that he is himself and the whole premise of the manga is the conflict between ideologies
Hak turning his rukh from black to white was pretty shit, forgiving kounen was also pretty shit
it sucks the manga got axed
Just ignore it. Some people here are convinced that the Magi is getting axed because the editor of Shounen Sunday said that he'd axe some series to improve the magazine's sales.
Yeah, I mean, it's not impossible, since some people do have dumb ideas and then act on them, but the current pacing of the chapters and Magi volumes selling more than the magazine itself doesn't make it very likely.
Considering how the last arc ended, I think it's true too.
I don't think she's rushing this last arc so probably they told her in how many chapters the manga should end and she decided to cut the kou war to focus more on the final arc.
so is it pretty much confirmed sinbad is tracking sagebaba with that passport he gave him.
When did Alibaba get this strong? He just came out of a fucking coma.
Sense scans lose so much detail in their version.
I thought I was going to miss those blank cactaur faces, but this is great.
It's not just Sense to be fair.
Most manga magazines are printed as cheap as possible and it makes the pages look like they've been Xeroxed a few dozen times.
I used to clean for a few groups and sometimes it was literally impossible for me to tell what was details in the artwork and what was bad printing.
It's good incentive to buy the volumes.
