I don't I'll be able to handle all the justice this next arc.
That "Thank you!" brought a huge smile to my face after all the shit Saitama got.
I don't get it, if he has the indomitable spirit and sense of straight justice like Saitama does, why hasn't he been able to train into breaking his limits and superhuman strength? Or at least be stronger than the average human?
Just noticed this in episode 7.
Because he did not train for three years straight.
Do you think Genos will ever turn to the dark side?
OPM does a great job of showing a hero becoming the best he could possibly ever become through motivation to save others and do good.
But do you think they would continue that trend but show a the hero who tried to do good, and got really strong, but falls away from that goal and becomes a bad guy? I'd think Genos has that very exact potential.
Pic very much related.
How did you get past the captcha Genos?
These gave me a good laugh. Thanks.
He doesn't care enough to advance
What chapter in the remake does Saitama meet cute brunette girl who is the sister of Pseudo-loli green hair girl?
The first ime I've seen her is in chapter 62, but the chapter starts off as if there was a chapter before it, and I fucking figure out if the chapter are all out of whack or if this is the way it's supposed to be.
I've found some later chapters showing up early which has confused the fuck out of me.
All Fubuki had to do was say she wanted to hang out with them.
Yeah, but if he doesn't get any stronger to get revenge then what is the point? Aside from Saitama teaching him morals there is not much else he can do to get stronger since he's a cyborg so it depends more on upgrades rather than training.
What Genos really needs is a mad scientist engineer or something.
I feel like Saitama is sometimes a bad influence on Genos. He is still young after all.
I think it's adorable that she's just there with them, eating cookies, despite being one of the most serious characters thus far.
>I think it's adorable that she's just there with them, eating cookies, despite being one of the most serious characters thus far.
Normalcy is underrated. This is on my top ten favorite parts of the manga so far as well.
He doesn't have the sheer resolve and ambition to train, I guess. Of everyone in OPM him and Garou are probably the only ones capable of reaching a level like Saitama's if they trained properly.
He is at least stronger than the average human, considering he's qualified to be B-class but turned down the position. He's just pathetically weak compared to the ridiculously strong enemies we've seen him face.
Seems to be different from where I'm reading it.
Mind supplying me with where ever you read it at?
It's heavy implied that Metal Knight is the Professor he is looking for, or is at least tied to him.
His doctor is looking for him too. Think of Genos' Doctor as Doctor Light, Genos as Megaman, and the professor he is looking for as Dr. Wily.
well, if you take the story seriously, the reasoning would be one of two things.
theory 1: saitama should be dead. his strength program would be hard for someone like him who was untrained to begin with to maintain, if not impossible. add to this that we know he was fighting monsters the whole while as well, even though he was just a normal dude at the time. the theory goes that the cracking noise in his arms were his arms actually breaking. that he couldnt do squats any more because his legs were breaking down. yet he kept going, and through sheer force of will, broke his limiter, in not only the sense of capability, but his potential.
the other theory, which may be tied to the first, is that it seems to be the case that a strong desire to become an ideal is enough to change people and monsters in the OPM universe. and all the while fighting monsters and training for those 3 years, what was saitama's strong desire?
to become a hero who could send villains flying with just one punch.
He uses his mad dosh to buy a pass.
Guys, hear me out for a sec.
Ok, hear me out here, please.
What if it's...
Alright, ok, just hear me out this one time.
What if it's something like that Flamenco force from Samurai Flamenco that simply synched itself to Saitama's desire?
If anything Genos seems like death fodder. Just have him take a comedic beating and then when Saitama waits for him to respond reveal his head was crushed in battle.
That or licenseless rider. If either of them dies the shitstorm will be hilarious.
Put his fucking heart in his arm to power his attack.
Despite the outcome, that's pretty fucking metal.
Saitama would care, they're buddies after Licenseless Rider invited him some food after the Sea King fight. The people would care, maybe not everyone but at least all of those he has helped.
And the readers would definitely care, I know I would.
No. He only seems weak in comparison to the monsters they face, some of the S rankers like loli and sweet mask, and Saitama.
Genos' function as a character in this series is odd, because he is extremely powerful but but is tossed around like a ragdoll by the next monster of the week. I like to think of his as the comparison middle ground in terms of power.
>Genos is super powerful robit.
>Oh fuck this thing wrecked him. This thing must be REALLY powerful!
>Oh shit Saitama beat him with extremely little effort.
It's as if he exist to show how fucking astronimocal the scales of difference are between Saitama and everyone else.
This being somewhat of a parody in a way; Genos' can also be considered the every day Shonin hero edgelord who cares little but has a specific goal in mind. Looks, personality, and gimmick all sorta match that shtick.
OPM is a pretty different in the sense that, in this universe, that sort of character is a secondary character, while a nearly featureless baldy is the protagonist. Interesting if you think about it enough.
I meant on /a/, since so many people like him.
I imagine Saitama would be at least a little upset if he was kill, since he does know him and it would likely be indicative of a larger, deadlier threat (although nothing he couldn't handle)
I'd probably bawl like a babby throughout the entire day.
>Anon, what's wrong? You've been crying nonstop
>Licenseless Rider is dead! DEAD!!
>This guy who fought against all odds to protect everyone!
>I'm sorry. We'll visit his funeral together.
>He's not real!
>He's a fictional character in a jap comic! WAAAGH
And then I was disowned.
you're exactly right. in addition to being a comedic foil to saitama early on, his main role early in the manga and webcomic is to be a demonstration of the difference in power between saitama and most other heroes. it changes later on as more heroes are introduced, and genos becomes more of a hero in earnest rather than simply a yard stick for saitama.
its also worth noting that genos powers up a lot through the series. he starts off as a weak S-class hero, and eventually becomes a mid-S level in terms of fighting power.
this might not sound like much, but there seems to be a massive gap even within just the s-class in terms of combat strength. you have for instance 3 heroes with the same "power" - pripri, tank top master, and darkshine, and 3 very different levels of strength.
Someone pls respond
It can't be that impossible to find a site with properly arranged chapters, right?
Well think about it.
Many Villains in the manga became the way they are because they liked one thing so much that they became it. Crap man became a crab because he literally ate a lot of crab. Car man from the same episode literally decked himself out into a car because he liked cars so much.
Lizardman grew into a fucking lizard because he liked Lizards so much.
Doing something obsessively in this universe has the same effect as what a mother would say to their child, where if they eat too much watermelon or something, they would become a watermelon.
In Saitama's case. He trained so much to be the strongest, that he actually became the strongest.
I think the main issue is that Licenseless Rider's conception of a hero isn't one of raw power, but someone who'll stand up to an enemy and do what's right regardless of the odds and regardless of whether he can affect any real change. He's probably as brave as Saitama is strong.
Imagine the shitstorm on /a/ that day.
>He's not dead, right you guys?
>ONE IS A FUCKING HACK WHY DID THIS SERIES TURN EDGELORD REEEE
>yfw mumen rider comes back
>why didn't he just [insert feat that would require S-class skills to perform]
>goodnight sweet prince
>I want to get off this wild ride
Here's a prediction,
sometime down the line, King is going to do 100 push-ups, 100 sit-ups and 100 squats along with running 10 km every single day, and he's going to be as strong as Saitama
right, i was trying to get at the fact that their goals may have been different at the outset. i dont think licenceless rider cares about strength either, just that he wants to do the right thing and help people. otherwise, their training might have been different as well.
But than again, so is Sonic. He is edgelord bishi ninja pretty boy.
And he gets the EXACT same treatment. Only in this case, he isn't fighting monsters, he fucking fighting Saitama.
In any other fucking manga, Sonic would either be the protagonist, or the edgy rival character. Well... he's already a rival-like character, but given that he's fighting Saitama, it's not like he has an actual chance, so the word 'rival' isn't even applicable.
Well that's the thing, maybe he already has broken his limiter but it wasn't on strength but another attribute, like bravery/courage (or justice-ness).
Or maybe his video game skills will come in handy. He's certainly stronger than Saitama on that front already.
honestly i dont get why people are so set on using licencless, either. mumen is a better english translation. some people actually make the intended connection between it and kamen with that translation, where licenceless doesnt mean anything in particular in english.
>doesn't mean anything in English
I mean, personally, I think "unlicensed" might be better for the double joke, but mumen is just stupid. Any English-speaker who would get the Kamen Rider joke would get it just by looking at him, and anyone who wouldn't would not understand the joke from "mumen rider".
How often does Genos go on the internet
Now that Nerieru-scans is kill, where are you guys getting the newest chapters? I'm like 4 behind at this point.
>doesn't mean anything in English
bad way to phrase that, but i hope you understand my meaning - there's no connection between the intended joke and licencless in english, where mumen at least sounds similar. i don't think many people will get the joke regardless, but of the two, at least for english speakers, i'm trying to say i believe mumen will be more likely for people to draw the correct connection than the alternative.
Here's the full webm with sound if someone wants to do a better job
Well, my point is that it's more than just a Kamen Rider pun, the joke is also that he doesn't have a license for a motorcycle so he has to ride a bike. You lose that second part completely by rendering it as "mumen" but even if you got with "licenseless" he still looks like Kamen Rider, preserving that half of the joke (admittedly in a slightly different way).
Half the characters in the manga apparently
I fucking hate Metal Knight's jerky head movement after his monologue, when he looks up at the meteorite, in the last episode. Really jarring. If they had only animated it a bit better and given him slightly crisper reflections, it would have been great.
>Saitama is complexed by being bald and is probably the only "insult" he'd take seriously
>People give him shit for being bald
>I think it actually suit him pretty well
Hell I pretty much prefer bald Saitama over hairy Saitama.
Why is Sweet Mask so hated on /a/? Dude is fucking great.
I just realized, he is basically a full body cyborg, so the only thing that was presumably preserved was his organic brain, yes? We've seen that its encased in steel at least. Meaning, his actual self and voice prior to the attack could be completely different than how he looks now
He was pretty cute with hair though.
But his character is better without it given what it probably represents.
He's a fucking sociopath who murders 'evil'.
He's also a big fucking hippocrit.
>I'm not gonna show up to save the city from Aliens.
>I guess I better check up on those faggots
>"lol you call this saving"
>I'm not gonna help even though I complain to these guys that they suck.
>I'm not gonna be an S ranker because that's too much responsibility
>I like being a girly idol
>that chode with the metal bat makes me super hard but I can never tell him that, the baka.
His eventual turn to darkness
or mind control
That faith in his master.
Sometimes I wish I was sensible-chuckle-man. Just endlessly turning the page after witnessing something not-so-sensible, only to have a good sensible chuckle, all the while sporting a lovely golden-red head of hair and a perfectly complimentary cobalt turtle-neck to match. Sensibly chuckling for all of eternity.
>its also worth noting that genos powers up a lot through the series. he starts off as a weak S-class hero, and eventually becomes a mid-S level in terms of fighting power.
And yet his endurance remain unchanged. The reason he keeps going down is because his resilience had not improved. So one hit and he goes down.
>If saitama trained so hard he became the strongest, why didnt anyone from bang's dojo or bang himself have the same power?
Technique heroes get stronger in a different way. They also take rest breaks between training.
And this, my friends, is why "Localization" exists. Because sometimes things do not translate well and are LESS powerful or effective if you leave them untranslated than if you translate them in a way that makes sense for English readers.
It makes no sense from a pro translation. That's what you expect from a fan effort. But Amai Mask is even more egregious. It's just Sweet Mask. And then they translate Tatsumaki and Fubuki's actual given names.
I would like to think that Metal Knight or someone hacks Genos and make him lose his humanity in order to make him the "Perfect Weapon".
Of course, Saitama restores his humanity and Genos I don't know, goes for a more humane approach to his enhancements?
Blue-Eyes Genos when
Was this in one of the originals chapters? I certainly don't think it's in the remake.
I don't think so. He became a hero for a reason. Him being bored because he is the strongest is just a side effect of that. H'es looking for a challenge. and think about it; all the monster that we continue to see have been visibly stronger than most of the S-rank classes. what would he have to gain from going bad and fighting them? Especially when the evil ones have such fantastical potential.
Of course people would care, isn't License-less Rider extremely popular among average citizens despite being C-Rank? He may not be able to fight giant monsters, but I think he's so beloved because he's a hero willing to help folks with their everyday problems.
He seriously seems like the oddest hero bar saitama. Hes got tons of fame, fans, money and influence and is wisely considered "just a pretty boy" for the HA, yet he puts himself into life threatening danger very often, is seemingly one of the stronger heroes in the HA and has an extremely rigid (yet somewhat twisted) set of beliefs and ideals he adheres to. His "power" is also not just extremely unusual but downright inhuman, more so than pretty much any other hero. Alot of other heroes seem to be parodies/references to other archtypes in anime, but i don't know which one SM would be based off of.
There's no reason whatsoever not to translate Sweet Mask.
And they need to draw the distinction between the hero names and given names. When someone says, "Look out it's the Terrible Tornado" that's fine. If Tats is talking to Fubuki though, she's not calling her Hellish Blizzard. She's calling her by her name.
Isn't licenseless rider more of an underdog? The public would definitely sympathize with him more in a sea-king-like fight.
I wonder how the public would react to Genos dying like was mentioned earlier though. He's a jobber but if something were to kill an S-rank the Hero association would be shitting themselves.
>wanted to pace myself for the anime
>ended up reading through the manga in a single sitting
>probably gonna crack and read the webcomic too
it's just too fucking good.
There's that too. I mean, the public has seen License-less Rider get his butt kicked before, but he's still pretty adored in spite of that because he never gives up hope and never stops trying to do the right thing.
Of course he'd care.
Also not Genos.
He'd definitely care, he'd probably be furious that someone murdered his disciple. Hell I could see him actively losing his shit about it and killing the person responsible.
Especially if it were sweet mask. That faggot needs to die.
I'd really like ONE to open up a bit more about "God." That guy was fucking sick. Can't wait for Murata to put up a redrawn version of him
Has anyone translated these yet
No because he's gonna live forever.
He might eat bananas on Saitama's grave when Saitama sacrifices himself to save Earth and he later takes his helmet off to reveal he's gone bald from training.
Licenseless Rider is a better translation because I looked at LR and immediately got that he was a Kamen Rider joke/parody, despite never having actually watched/read a single Kamen Rider episode/manga.
Simply due to Japanese osmosis.
But at the same time, I got how silly/average person the character was supposed to be because of the Licenseless in his name, whereas "Mumen" wouldn't have meant a single thing to me.But at the same time, I got how silly/average person the character was supposed to be because of the Licenseless in his name, whereas "Mumen" wouldn't have meant a single thing to me.
Anyone that looks at him will get the joke, because it's so obvious, unless they have NO knowledge of Japanese media, in which case they won't get the joke because they have no idea who Kamen Rider even is!
i think he became so strong because the joke is his workout regiment isn't hard at all besides the running, its just he was so incredibly weak the workout broke his limiter because his limiter was lower than that shitty workout.
So, following Saitama's logic here, did he end up doing 25 years worth of strength training in 3 years?
>You'd think Genos still have common sense and good robot logic in him since his brain is still human after all.
>Instead he takes Saitama's words to extremes and has a very black and white view on the world.
>Makes me wonder if the doctor replaced his brain over time as well and Genos is actually 100% robot.
>Also, Genos is a computer, right?
>Why doesn't he have 4G network capabilities?
>Why isn't he a walking Wikipedia?
>Why doesn't he have photographic memory and perfect recall?
>Since he still has to write things down, it points to the fact that his brain is still human and can't process that much information at once, but then in that respect, he should have more common sense instead of being super clingy to Saitama.
>Maybe he doesn't actually have to write things down but it is simply his hobby to write and read it later.
>Then in that sense, he wouldn't have bought out an entire box of juice for Saitama...
>Or tried to get a company to sell him all of the Saitama straps they made...
>Or went along with the ridiculous April Fools' joke...
>Or at minimum, picked an apron that was pink.
>He's too moe for this world.
>Maybe it is love and devotion after all then.
>Those actions just remind me of a fangirl after an idol.
>She would buy up hundreds of straps.
>She would buy infinite amount of the same beverage he drinks and go along with the stupidest things the idol does.
>And wear a pink apron.
>Y'think the doctor installed the wrong stuff and rebuilt Genos as a male robot when he was female originally?
Would Saitame be sad if Genos die? Does Saitama have any bond with anyone? Where is his family? He had a normal life till 3 years ago, where is his friends? I would like to see an arc about Saitama childhood or something about him.
It was explained in an interview that ONE and Murata were in.
Interview translation link below. Not by me, but by some other anon in another thread.
Fucking hell, why does 7-Eleven keep getting the good stuff?
He probably wrote it all misspelled and with shitty handwriting too.
>what is your current level of education?
>"i wana b a hro"
>How do you feel about the hero association and what it stands for?

Too bad the cover preview picture isn't very big. All I can clearly make out is that the back page are
>"What are your plans for Christmas?"
>King: A date with my girlfriend
>Prisoner: A date with my boyfriend

I really hope Saitama does something along these lines at some point, with the bullet flying back into the barrel like he never fired at all.
Saitama is clearly embarrassed about it or at least rejects the claim every time when Genos brings up his hair worries. He doesn't want to resort to asking his disciple for help. Santa is fair game though since Santa is literally a god.
Tfw no QT fembot to admire your strength and way of doing things.
All of a sudden I want to sleep in a giant sock now.
He part-timed as a construction worker in Z City since it was being wrecked quite often by monsters. He eventually lost the job after the company saw that reconstruction efforts weren't worth it and pulled out. Saitama was near the ending of his meager savings by the start of the manga.
>During the 3 years before he became a hero for hire, what did he do for money? Was he a squater.
He had savings. He was just being extremely frugal and basically had no money left when Genos showed up. He still lives the same way now because he isn't used to spending money so soon.

I wish if Superman could have behaved like Saitama did after meteor

Superman: Shut up! Tell it to the aliens!
My problem is how goddamn inconsistent the official translations are about it. Either leave proper nouns alone or translate everything, don't flip flop and do stuff like change Tatsumaki to Tornado while leaving Mumen Rider as is.
For the average person, that workout isn't an easy one if doing proper form. Just try his workout routine one day and be sure to maintain form. Shit's tough. Especially if it's consecutive.
I just noticed that the bike is just straight up a 3D model.
boku no reverse image search
Also, i feel like dumping sea-king arc in preperation for the episode
I fucking hate the civilians in OPM-verse
He can scare away everything but dragon level disasters just by looking at them.
Why would he want to look less badass?
That would make sense
Now for my favourite A-class hero
I've seen people joke he couldn't draw a plain/ugly women if he tried. Now i don't think they were joking
Just finished reading to chapter 104 of ONE, god damn I need more. Can't wait for the manga to catch up. I need more
Because he wanted to draw a hot girl, dumbass.
>tfw you confess your love for senpai but he doesn't take it seriously
maybe one day Genos
I don't know about you fat virgins but I'm definitely getting married to this piece of ass.
I got bored and made a stupid wallpaper out of this.
I figured I'd drop it here.
Already did it, even if he stopped doing any side works/covers/extra chapters/no redraws, the Garou arc wouldn't end before 5-6 years. So you can easily add 2 years with them and the exclusive content.
This will be interesting animated
Okay, you did good, but don't oversell it dude
My face when Sea King arc next.
>Snek and co.
Too fucking good, mates.
Happened to me after the first episode.
Read ONE's manga, Murata will take years to catch up.
His introduction is so sudden, wonder how they'll replicate it?
That is pretty much the only thing ONE can do to redeem himself if he EVER kills Licenseles Rider.
The sight of mourning citizen gifting so many bananas to his grave every day that
he transforms into mysterious being embigued with all the banana vitamins or something to continue his justice crusade
And all because people saw Saitama start the whole banana gifting thing
Sorry, but no. Obsessive compulsive behaviors cause mutations into monsters who have higher limits; they still have limits and just become a new creature. Saitama broke his limiter in his original form, aka an average human.
No he didn't. He literally did something physically impossible. Potential means that it is something within the realm of possibility, and he literally defied reality with sheer force of will. That's not potential because nothing pointed him to having that kind of willpower, and "god" didn't give that to him either.
Ah that cool stuff for naught.
Being Genos is suffering.
He's going to get melted soon too.
Pretty much every character ((With the exception of Saitama and maybe a few of the high S classes)) are basically punching bags to show us how strong monsters are, all you can really do is respect their determination to fight, and in that case, Genos and Licenseless rider both likely have the strongest resolve to protect people at whatever cost.
Will Saitama go down if his own punch is redirected at him? Or will it feel like a real punch to him instead of feeling like nothing? Or will whoever tries this just explode into a liquid mess?
That fucking soundtrack when Saitama steps in.
That delicious body
Well Murata draws some top tier women, I would find it hard for artist to be on his level, I assume you already read the first OH?
Do you think Flash and Sonic are related?
I'm sure there'll be something about them, not only are they similar in technique and speciality, but I also think they somewhat look alike.
They're also both very effeminate.
I suppose we'll see soon enough though.
God damn, I love her. I'm so tired of creepy prepubescent little girls in anime. Now, wham, all of a sudden, here's a classy as fuck grown assed woman with black hair, pearls, and tits for days.
We've never seen him either take or give an actual hit. It would've been hilarious if it turns out that he's actually fucking strong just doesn't know it. Not Saitama level strong since he managed to receive that scar after all but still.
>the water monster that feeds on strong emotions got a taste of king engine and just stood there frightened for some minutes
It's the little things
He most likely already did
So do I
>that Boros fight
Faced against one of the most powerful beings in the galaxy, and still he knew he was going to win from the get go. Boros was powerful enough to destroy the entire planet and almost did so, but was stopped with just one half-assed punch. Even with the destruction of earth at stake, Saitama couldn't but to hold back, which still turned out to be overkill. Nobody saw it. Nobody knows about it. And Saitama's alright with that; for him, it was just another squabble ended with a single punch.
Licenseless Rider was the first person we've seen to get an honest compliment from Saitama. Saitama seemed really impressed with how hard Licenseless rider fought. And then he treated him, that just sealed it.
So this thing's been updated again? I've already read the first two parts. Sauce please
because she usually either 1. recruits b classes into her group 2. ignores them or 3. beat them up so bad they quit
saitama did not get beat up nor joined her group
it's basically the "it makes me so hot that he doesn't want me" thing
I want just Fubuki with nothing else
What if Saitama dies?
And the other heroes have to face the threat alone, which means King starts training and Genos and Sonic actually fight together.
Only the NEET guy was a faggot. Everything else was Saitama's fault. It would have been much simpler to state how retarded the NEET's point was instead of playing the fraud.
Who the fuck would expect someone to lie about something like this? Their reaction was completely normal. In the end they were all grateful toward the heroes.
Noice spear, nigger.
Is it purely ironic that he and Boros are similar?
