Josuke: Yuuki Ono
Koichi: Yuuki Kaji
Okuyasu: Wataru Takagi
Rohan: Takuhiro Sakurai
>Koichi: Yuuki Kaji
>Rohan: Takuhiro Sakurai
Yuuki Kaiji already voices Johnny and I think Sakurai also voices someone else?
That link doesn't show anything JoJo-related for me, did they remove the article already?
In any case, glad that Okuyasu is still Kuwabara. I was one of those people who found Kamiya a bad fit for Rohan, and Sakurai sounds much closer to what I imagined, though still a bit off. Koichi works, I guess, but I sure hope they don't switch Johnny's voice actor when the time comes, he's pretty much perfect.

It's kinda weird because Kamiyan still voices Rohan in Eyes of Heaven maybe it's simply because he's too busy?
PB also looked like shit and in the end it looked great
Only Jonathan looked weird everyone else was fine
I remember when they published the first promotional art with Dio holding the Stone mask and Jojo a book and everyone was losing their shit.
It was fine, but people were very cautious about a new JoJo anime, and the promo artwork did little to exceed those expectations. Not too surprising, considering that the most well-known people in the staff were Koyasu and YES.
That's a shame, guess we're no longer getting new composers for each part. At least he's not that bad.
Does this mean part 4 is now legit confirmed? This makes me
Hurry up and tell us the OP/ED you pieces of shit. I need to know if it's Smash Mouth.
That site's source is Dengeki too, you silly goose. I'm asking if Dengeki is trustworthy.
Dengeki's own article has been already taken down which could be for a variety of reasons.
God I hope that's not official or final in any way. It makes me depressed.
Official sites say nothing about this new information. The last thing they said was that the next place for new information would be in the next Ultra Jump. We have no idea where Dengeki got theirs from.
Not saying it IS a hoax, but let's not be too quick to believe it.
That guy did also designs for Mawaru Penguindrum, Servant x Service and Kimi no Iru Machi.
I just can't imagine him doing Jojo characters (unless t would look as shit as stat piece of official art.
Why they couldn't stick with character designer who did Battle Tendency? That part have so beautiful faces
Okay, not all frames ave so nice faces, but they certainly looked better than square chins and long faces of SC
He looked like splendid gentleman, to bad got degrades to pic related. Yet, he still managed to look the best out of main cast.
Now is the perfect time to set up a fucking petition or something to help get Justin Cook and Christopher Sabat to voice Josuke and Okuyasu. Phantom Blood and Battle Tendency dub have been shitty so far, and this moment is the moment to fucking fix all of that.
>they changed josuke and rohan VA
for what purpose
This is both wrong because the information that came out today was supposed to be out on the 19th's Ultra Jump issue, while the promo video will be out next month on December 19th.
I think they'll have the style switch, that's what they did with Iggy. Also, going along the manga is much easier than redrawing so many scenes from scratch to adapt them all in a single style.
They're going to change his voice. Eyes of Heaven will be the last time we'll hear this perfect Kira.
Reminder that we have no guarantee that this is real, yet
Unless she can flip out like she did in Bakemonogatari, I don't see it happening desu.
Hehe.. i can hear my fucking dog galloping, if she's nearby.
Don't tell me that hooves don't make any sound hitting solid ground at rather high speed. Especially if there is few horses.
That or they violated an embargo by mistake and quickly rectified the error once they'd realised.
The fact it's down now means nothing in terms of real or fake. Only when it either reappears or official info comes out that contradicts it will its removal mean anything.
>put off reading the other parts
>they always become an anime
who /lazy/ here
>changing Josuke's literally perfect voice
I understand not being able to get Kamiya for one reason or another but this is some bullshit
Dengeki are a media giant. Perhaps one of the most reliable outlets for entertainment information in Japan.
The only reason to not trust the article is because they had to take it down again because they obviously put it up too soon. There's no reason to actually doubt the information at this point in time.
I fucking love that cover so much. This cover motivated me to get trough the shitty middle part of part 3 to finally be able to read part 4 and except for Josuke never being as badass as on that cover I was not dissapointed.
I don't care about anything else I'm just glad he's there and why is everyone complaining about the art PV when it's 100% perfection compared to previous parts.
That was based as fuck but on the cover Josuke looks like a boxer in his prime ready and confident as fuck to take the world title right as he poses for the camera moments before he fucked up his enemy for real.
You sound like those people who don't trust Japanese blog leaks unless they get reposted by ANN. It's just that they are almost never fake, so there is little reason to ever doubt them.
Eh, I don't really care about the anime adaptation either way, but it never hurts to be skeptical. I'll have to take your word for them almost never being fake though.
Some Of You Guys Are Alright
Don't Take the train Tomorrow
why can't you guys wait until the PV to start overreacting holy fuck
they changed voices, so what? we haven't heard them doing those roles and we're literally a month away from actually hearing them voicing those characters. hell. that key art may be quite different in motion. I'd give them the chance to show us what they have in store. at least then we'll have a proper reason to be pissed.
Shit, sorry. Fuck my reading comprehension.
Anyway, it's not like the 'new' cast haven't played other roles, especially someone like Sakurai Takuhiro; we know what they sound like already. The 'original' seiyuu were casted perfectly and changing that into something that still works but not as good is pretty shitty move on David's part.
unless you've read the japanese, french or italian versions of VA, you've read a bullshit version with a made up translation so you have no real way of saying you've actually read vento aureo and basically every region that has a legitimate translation of it rank it highly
>No Kamiya as Rohan
If that DAGA KOTOWARU wasn't convincing enough, I don't know what to tell you, senpai
>worse than Vento Aureo
In part 3 there are hands down the worst stand fights in the whole series. The final part of Stardust Crusaders is good, but most of the rest, god damn is it shit.
Also Golden Wind or Vento Aurero sounds more badass than Stardust Crusaders.
Legit question, where are they going to end the first episode?
No way they can do Josuke's intro, the bank heist scene, the intro of the villain, him killing Joksuke's grandpa, and the fight all in one episode.
That does not mean anything. For one, I seriously doubt that using google translator in 1992 (if it even existed back then) would have yielded the same result as it does now.
Anyway, it's even listed on wikipedia as the former translation: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diamond_Is_Unbreakable
I'd be surprised if Google's Translator did not cross reference when things are copied into it and if it matches a known good translation, it puts that out.
I know nothing of japanese really but I was always under the impression that using "wa" like that meant "not" and I think "kudakenai" means to break or to crush.
Jesus Christ part 6 art was so fucking bad.
>I know nothing of japanese really but I was always under the impression that using "wa" like that meant "not" and I think "kudakenai" means to break or to crush.
Well, that's not true. In that sentence "wa" is simply "is" and "kudakenai" is the word for smashing or breaking with the "nai" ending indicating a negative.
"Unbreakable" is a good translation, "not crash" is an understandable mistake by someone with lacking English skills.
Duwang was done by people who knew Japanese but were really bad at English. So, mostly speaking, duwang was quite accurately translated but shit English. Trio cleaned up the english but didnt translate further.
VA's is done by people who are dog shit at Japanese but can write in English. This means they just made shit up if they couldn't make sense of it. The english making more sense disguises the fact the translation is actually much worse
Part 5's translation was bad in its own right but it was by different people. Duwang wasn't the translating group's name by the way, it was their misreading of the Kanji for "Morioh".
The name Diamond is Not Crash isn't from their translation though. Even the first ASB trailers used "not crash", but after a while they must've realized how silly it was because the later ones and every other official thing since has gone for "unbreakable".
I'm Italian, I've read vento aureo in italian and I like it more than part 1 and 6, but I put it under everything else, because I got bored halfway through. I think it's just a matter of taste (shit taste in my case)
That's fair enough, if you've read a legit approved translation of it then you don't have to justify yourself.
Better than just meme spouters who don't know shit about it but insist everyone listen to what they have to say without bringing anything worthwhile to the conversation.
It's about equal, they've got a very similar ring to them. The English one maybe sounds a bit more certain about itself in a way because if you want to be really accurate the Japanese title is more like "Diamond doesn't break".
What about the translation for the final chapters.
The current translation goes with "Crazy Diamond is Unbreakable" but the Wikia lists them as "The Invincible Crazy D"
They list it as
>they changed rohan
>they changed Josuke
>they changed Kira
>Johnny VA will die before the anime
That's just the title of the part again except with "Crazy D" instead of "Diamond".
It's up to the translator to decide what sounds more natural to them there but for consistency's sake let's say the most accurate option is "Crazy D is Unbreakable".
So "Invincible" is an acceptable antonym for "doesn't break", ya reckon?
On an English front, I'd probably trend towards not saying they're equals. Because invincible sort of implies it doesn't take damage, where as "doesn't break" just means it won't break.
Glad I'm too dumb to be a translator.
I'm okay with him 2bh
What the hell was the point in changing VA's when Josuke was previously voiced though?
Does they mean they'll change Jolyne and the Part 5 crew given that we already heard their voices in the CM's?
There were a lot of fights they should have cut short or skipped in part 3 in the anime but I don't even know if there is anything bad in part 4. For all I know there is huge variation in the stand fights in 4.
Fuck why is part 4 so good and part 5 went right back to being more like part 3.
Just a fancier Part 3 essentially
>The Invincible Crazy D
>but I don't even know if there is anything bad in part 4
i would say the fight againts the rat but even that shit has its moment
>Duwang was done by people who knew Japanese but were really bad at English. So, mostly speaking, duwang was quite accurately translated but shit English.
no you fucking retard it was translated from chinese
Sorry, I can't help it, it's too easy to put it this way when talking to people about single sentences like that. I just wanted to point out the "nai" was where the negative came in.
duwang is coming whether you're ready or not
Here's hoping they do more of the radical color change scenes that were more plentiful in the first two parts. There were a couple of nice ones in SC but for the most part they just changed colors without any sort of effect and it looked a bit plain.
cool :) :) :) :) :)
good for you :) :) :) :)
You stupid fucking shut ins, I grew up next to a horse farm, we used to feed one our cannabis plant stalks, he was my bro. Anyway, when hed jump the fence he'd race around my house and the galloping would be pretty damn loud. not quite a CLOP more like THUMP but still, pretty loud
Cant wait for Jotaro beating Kira up and SC theme playing at the Nice Watch punchline
Can you imagine Giorno and GE punching Cioccolata in an eventual Part V anime? It was nine pages of punching. At LEAST, the barrage of punches should last one minute instead of 22 seconds.
I've not heard much of him and searching for him, it's hard to bring up clips of him speaking at any kind of length to try and get a handle of what he might sound like as Josuke, but I'm sure they've chosen him for a reason so I have faith in David's choice.
I hope they stick with blonde. Blonde Koichi just looks better than all the others. Well that's how I imagined him in black and white
Keeping Wataru Takagi as Okuyasu is fantastic. Okuyasu can absolutely not be voiced by anyone else, it would just be wrong. I can live with the rest losing their ASB voice actors, but THIS is the big one. I would be fucking PISSED every time Okuyasu ever spoke if it was not Wataru doing his Aoki (Ippo). It really is the only one that makes sense for him, definitely the one I'd pick if I could only get 1 voice actor from ASB. Good on David for making the smart decision.
Same, don't really care for the others that much, but Okuyasu is of critical importance.
How come there's nothing about this at the official Twitter?
The article on Dengeki was uploaded early, likely embargoed and taken down when they realised. Ultra Jump doesn't release for 2 days, which is where the first official info is supposed to come from.
Expect it to be confirmed by official sources at that time.
Geez, guess some heads at Dengeki are rolling as we speak.
>changed Josuke's seiyuu
At least they kept Wataru, he was perfect. They better fucking keep Kiyama as Kira too.
Koichi looks kind of weird, must be the nose. Josuke and Jotaro on the other hand are literally perfect, especially compared to the atrocity that Stardust Crusaders was.
I'm still jealous about the great animators OPM got, we will never get that kind of quality adaptation for JoJo. Feels bad.
>part 4 will be animated for the world to see
i still can't believe it, i'm so happy
GET A FEELING SO COMPLICATED
stardust crusaders got announced in October and aired in April
that's like 5 months away dude, shows all work on schedules and spring season is the next big time for new shows to debut
David Production seemed pasionate about JOJO but part 3 looked like ass in one of the most important moments in JOJO history, the DIO fight.
Most of the action animation in OPM has been great. The animation is mediocre outside of that, but it's still an above average production.
> it's just designers being passionate.
Not sure what you mean by that.
I don't care how or why they did it, but it's a fact that OPM looks good while DP screwed up the most important part of Stardust Crusaders. For fucks sake, even the decades old OVA looks better than this shit.
A key visual was also released. It looks much different than Stardust Crusaders. Looks like they might go with the later art style right from the get-go.
While it looks like they're going with the midway style judging by the key art, it seems like they might intend to follow Koichi's hairstyle changes in the manga, seeing as the key art Koichi most closely resembles the look from his introduction.
>we will never get stuff like this again
for Jojo, does the individual animator/artist vary from episode-to-episode like it does in other shows (Digimon, for example), or is there one animator who does every single ep?
I really like how deep Hatano's voice gets as Josuke, but Yuki Ono makes sense if you think about it.
>Watching clips from P3
>That ZA WARUDO sound where he slaps Kakoryin's stand in the car chase
That Deep sound is so utterly oppressive
My favourites were Omen, Setting Off and Sprint, and each of them only played in a few scenes.
Nah, Phantom Blood and Battle Tendency were both fine, the latter was even better than the manga. Part 3 was just disappointing in comparison.
You walk down a dark street when suddenly this starts playing:
reminder that giving the protag a fucked up face is normal for "key visual," don't read into it too much
i guess jotaro is a high schooler, so it makes sense that he would've gotten his wisdom teeth pulled just before posing for this
What are you talking about? Josuke looks absolutely fine.
Nice, isn't it?
his face has really weird proportions that make it look like he has fat cheeks, particularly right under his eyes near his upper cheekbones
even the star plat in the background has better facial structure than jotaro
Anna reminds me of the ayylien.
>the par4 commercials for JoJolion were great
>we'll never heard something like this again
I wonder if he's going to do the DORARARARARARARARA right.
it's missing the most crucial element
>Wataru as Okuyasu again
fucking perfect, thats all I needed. Too bad about the others not coming back though
>yfw late part 4 art style for all laid back scenes and it shifts to early part 4 art style for battles
What would his ability be?
>yfw ED is Hump De Bump by Red Hot Chili Peppers
This is going to be the best part animated
I can't wait
Ability to make people believe bullshit
Would not mind if it were like pic related.
Mad underrated post. Part 4 is going to be a drag to wait out until we get the literal best action-oriented part animated.
VA is begging to be animated. Maybe we'll get an OVA until then?
You have a point here because putting in Kokaku Kidotai (which transliterated means "Mobile Armored Riot Police") is cross-referenced and spat out as "Ghost in the Shell" by the translator automatically. It's actually pretty fucking annoying.
So where do I go to read Part 8 without memes? Bato.to is out.
This is a ridiculous notion. Part 4 was complete and utter filler while Part 5 was all plot progression and the aesthetic was about a million times better. Its only problem was the ending.
