My college has a History of Animation course. We had a really young guest lecturer from another department come in to tell us about the history of Japanese animation. As expected, he did fuck all but pander to the weebs in the class and sped through the informative parts expecting the class to know what he was talking about, then showed a bunch of clips from shows just so he could show off. I expected that to a degree, though I thought he would at least be professional and follow some sort of informative plan, you know, for a fucking college course. What I didn't expect was for him to show a five minute clip to a class of one hundred from an old hentai of a guy tying up a girl and groping her. Didn't tie it in to the lecture one bit, spaghettied out of it once people started yelling at him, then went straight to the scheduled film showing.

My little brother's into anime recently, he bought a Celty shirt. I think it's fine to wear it in public because it looks cool and (kind of) hide his power level. I still wouldn't wear it in public though.

I went with a friend to check my uni's one out and it was a positive experience, we didn't interact with any of the weebs there though and didn't come back because the viewings were like 6 hours long.
