Also plagiarism thread
>wiz khalifa and snoop dogg sample higurashi
>now chris brown steals art from a manga
This is too much
nice post numbers
yeah we're fucked. thanks democrats.
retarded about what? it falls under fair use as long as he references the material
There are enough differences from the original for it to not be plagiarism. This shit happened to the NGNL artist and literally nothing happened and those were pretty much 95% traces.
Fair use does not protect commercial products sold for profit.
And even despite that, tracing is still considered a very serious form of plagiarism. A trace is not an homage or an imitation, it is literally taking someone else's work and presenting it as your own. In this case, someone else's work is being used to sell a product for profit.
There was a stink yes, and I bet that the controversy ruined sales for NGNL and the artist and even his rep. But that is it. His traced artwork was deemed to be different enough (literally only had a different face drawn) that it didn't breach anything.
i know that i make 3k a month printing designs and if the TPP deal passes i'm going to prison
A court would have deemed it that. It didn't go to court because the owners of the traced material chose not to pursue it. Plagiarism is a civil case, not a criminal one. He got away with it because the people he stole from chose not to litigate.
It's more the colouring than anything else.
They should've just done a posed photoshoot like others said in this thread. He can stop beating women long enough to take a couple pictures for his own damn album.
Did he outsource this to an intern? A shitty tracing of a well-known manga series (those shadows look like they might've just filtered the original page and then traced the rest themselves).
Why can't he just do a photoshoot with the exact same pose? Fuck, quit being so stupid.
He only got 5 years probation for it. If I remember correctly, he didn't go to jail until he got kicked out of an anger rehabilitation clinic he was sent to for beating up some dude in the street.
Shit pisses me off how out of place it is.
It's a lot less shocking when you remember deviantArt is a thing.
Kubo's reaction made the whole thing priceless. He wasn't even mad, just surprised Gene Simmons' son was in the same profession as he was. I think that's the moment that cemented how much I love Kubo.
What good are guns if you're not gonna use them to regulate capitalism ?
Shooting kids is cool and all but when are you actually going to defend yourself from the people who exploit you and steal the money you work for ?
The way you guys are right you might as well throw your guns into the Mississipi it wouldn't make any difference.
Can you at least try to hide your autism?
I'll admit it sounds off but you faggots think it's the end of the world jesus christ
>he picks the loli
>Walk into Pharrell's room
>Open his closet
>It's a huge walk in with loli daikis hanging all around and display cases full of figs
>As you walk in a holographic image manifests in front of you and cheerfully says "Welcome home Onii-chan!"
idk if this qualifies but still
The concept was by the artist Mr, not Pharrell.
Kanye knows whats up.
Years back wasn't there some faggot who was tracing and recoloring the fuck out of Tenjho Tenge posters and covers and trying to sell them on his site as original content? I remember there was a thread about it and /a/ basically ripped him to shreds and he got ass blasted over it.
>Marvel Announces “Classic Hip-Hop Album Cover” Variants
Must be Plagiarism right?
This is a /v/ tier thread
Plagiarism all day
How pleb can you be?
>Walk into Jack in the Box
>Overhear two niggas talking at a table
>YO NIGGA you gots to check out this series, JOJO
>Dey be fightin with powers n' shit but also be stylin' as fuck doin it.
>I'm tellin you nigga you be lucky to be as stylin' as dem.
Yes, there's actual sub-section of soundcloud that has black anime themed hip-hop
For one reason or another, a lot of them are.
>Marvel gets permission from music producing companies to use album covers from their artists
>Chris Brown hires some guy to make an album cover and he photoshops a page from a manga after seeing it in his tumblr feed
Fuck off back to /co/, goofus.
>Just ask any black guy 18-35 what he thinks about Champloo.
Yet another reason to get shot in America?
UH, ALL THE BLACK PEOPLE OR NIGGERS AS I LIKE TO CALL THEM, GET OFF THIS COMMUNITY BECAUSE ITS FOR WHITE PEOPLE ONLY, UNDERSTAND, CAUSE IF YOU DON'T I WILL MAKE BLACK PEOPLE SLAVES AGAIN!!!
HAHA YEAH MAN. I love this shit.
one of us
MAH LITERAL NIGGA
Why? Why is that in there? There's absolutely no reason to put that in there besides just because you can.
It's a good song though.
At first I flashed to an image of him pounding asuka's tiny body, using it like an onahole. But then I started to picture him cuddling up with it while sleeping and it became surprisingly adorable.
Yeah, I'm not a fan of most of his stuff but that song is fairly neat.
Best part is that I can just turn this stuff up and the normies will be none the wiser about it.
>mfw normies partying hard over future funk and anime hip hop
Sadly no. Sorry.
I actually never browsed /vp/, I just heard of him playing with them a lot, and winning. I remember a screencap of it saying something like "how's it feel knowing an NFL football player is beating basement dwelling autists at their own game?"
I wonder if he watched Monster Musume on CrunchyRoll
There is no point to using guns to protect you from an evil government doesn't even fucking fear you.
It's no different thinking the fat cats on wall street are going to bend over for the lazy and poor just because they protested.
>not liking Yeezy
>preferring Spirited Away over Akira
Absolutely digusting. TPP means the end of doujins, the end of fansubs, it's going to destroy fucking everything. I have no problem allowing this shit if the alternative is to destroy everything I love.
What is there to understand? They're just ooga boogaing about raping and killing and "white privilege" and their hatred for cops. If anything you should be wondering why whites like black hip hop so much?
>The artist who animated "It Girl," a man who goes by the mysterious pseudonym Mr., is a legend in the lolicon community who acknowledges his own sexual preference.
Never heard of him
Nothing happened to the NGNL artist because he didn't plagiarize shit.
>Here, let me take a few generic poses and body parts and find pixiv works that look kind of similar and try to force a comparison through multiple photoshop overlays that show they kind of match a bit
It's entirely different from here where you don't even need someone to try to overlay the two pictures to show them they were traced (something the NGNL artist didn't do), because it's so fucking obviously traced and stolen. Anyone with a pair of eyes can see it.
In fact, last I've heard the exact opposite happened to the NGNL case, the crazy nutjob posting these "comparisons" on Twitter had his account shut down or was reprimanded for slander. If any of his accusations had any basis whatsoever NGNL would've ceased publication and the author's career would've been over, as has happened many times in the past with artists in Japan that were actually caught doing this.
It's detergent & magma all over again
And he's also painting his house, with people as you can see with the use of "we" so it probably isn't even him. Do you think he's stealing spider man and claiming it for himself?
Ponite is still the best girl
This fucking guy, I don't have a twatter account, but this guy is making me want to create one just so I can have this shit in my life.
is this a Jojo thing i cant put my finger on it
>I remember a screencap of it saying something like "how's it feel knowing an NFL football player is beating basement dwelling autists at their own game?"
holy kek that is amazing
>DUDE IRONIC JAPANESE CULTURE AESTHETICS
>DUDE MEDIOCRE BEATS PLAYED OVER ANIME DIALOGUE
>DUDE HOW COOL AM I?
Deadpools pose looks alot like one of Josephs from battle tendency
Just about to say what are the odds he browses /a/ and then I see this >>133071622
It might be, actually. Lots of interesting stuff to see, plus so long as you know you're getting compensated, such things aren't really that bad. If anything, the director would have the stressful job.
he's becoming a wrestler now.
I kinda hope he basically does pic related but with a daki. Also, actually being successful.
Nothing happened with him because it wasn't blatant tracing, the twitter account throwing the accusations was suspended and the anime was one of the best selling anime of Madhouse in years while the Vol.7 of the novels (release recently) opened strongly and sold over 100k units in two weeks (or 10 days).
Dan Simmons, was it? I kept thinking 'I'll steal it and no-one will ever know except for everyone."
Perhaps music by black weeb producers would be more to your liking?
None of you better be talking shit about him
First thing that always comes into my mind when someone mention plagiarism is this.
The last good Eminem album was Relapse.
It's edgy not to watch anime if your black
There's even a Linkin Park nendroid set, for whatever reason
Inoue could be sued by either the photographers if those photographs are copyrighted or the players for uses of their likeness ala O'Bannon vs NCAA case though.
I thought you were joking. Why weren't you joking?
For one thing, the characters don't really look like the people in the photographs. So what this essentially amounts to is saying that Araki could be sued for referencing poses from fashion magazines.
They're not embarrassed/scared about animangos like white people seem to be because they're not expected/pressured to like white shit over Asian shit; both are the same exact amount of alien to them.
pic related a favorite show of black people
LOADED DAKIS ARE THE BEST FOREIGN OBJECTS!
DBZ especially. I remember in school every black kid was so into it, no matter what "group" they were a part of.
I live and work in predominately black area and its really weird how often they will make like Goku refrences out of nowhere. I know many normal black guys who watch DBZ on regular.
He also sampled numerous lines from the HnK anime in one of his albums. Forget which one but it doesn't surprise me too much considering his whole thing is based on Doctor Doom.
He constantly wears basicbitch fits that are /fa/ staples (CPs, Tricky Ricky, Raf), in a very /fa/ sort of way if that makes any sense. He also wears shit that posted in storenvy threads that pretty much no one outside of that board has heard of.
>literally the same image just poorly editied
I never laughed so hard in my life back when this came out
>There are people on /a/ that unironically like rap music for any other purpose than laughing at people trying to be "hardcore"
>Marvel Announces “Classic Hip-Hop Album Cover” Variants
>not a homage
Are you fucking stupid?
Also, plagiarism is blatant amongst the big 2's artist. Just google Greg Land trace
Chris Brown still has a career?!
Also, am I the only one with the opinion that
Rihanna's success is due to everyone feeling sorry for her?
Here's my contribution
Not plagiarism but I thought I'd post these since they are kind of relevant to the thread. Just some songs other artist wrote about their favorite animus.
Yep two of the bands in there have done other songs for the anime they are writing about. Battle beast has like 4 or 5 berserk songs and Fighstar did a concept album around Eva.
One of Battle beasts more obvious berserk songs
Man it just hit me how hip hop Jotaro looks here. He's got the turned cap, the gold chains, the slouch and his jacket makes his oufit look baggy. The face kinda ruins it, though.
Oh yeah I guess this is plagiarism too
What is appropriation
>Believing that anyone actually likes anything ironically
>so they can laugh at people "being hardcore"
Now that's some real hilarious edge right there
The only ironic thing about it is how backwards and disgusting of a person you'd have to be to think that way
...Umm Acktually sampling didn't really become popular until the 1980's.
Sampling truly become commonplace when hip-hop/and electronic music first hit the scene
Also being the first notable musician to do something doesn't mean you've popularized something.
Sounds like pretty much all the other generic kawaii trap shit that's so in right now. I much prefer Waveracer and Spazzkid and Tomggg and Komono and whatever compared to this. Still decent production though, and nice art.
I really liked Worlds. It was a massive U-turn from his earlier stuff and his use of vocaloid was fantastic. English vocaloid is so tricky to make sound unrobotic. And the lyrics for most of his songs were straight out of a JRPG. It was very nice.
And he has at least browsed /fa/ and /a/ in the past, though it's unclear if he browses now. /fa/ considers him king of all fuccbois, which basically means they're just really jealous.
Rap songs that sample anime are really fucking good.
How is this not a thing yet.
I remember hearing Dango on /a/ radio I was surprised how good it turns out.
