So pathetic. He even admits in the 2015 Kono Light Novel Sugoi magazine that people aren't going to like Yukino very much in volume 8.

they all represent different things

yukino is romantic love, obviously a slow underlying current in the series/ln, and the person he'll probably end up with if the author decides to pair him with someone in the end, due to almost everything pointing in that direction

yuigahama is adolescent love, pretty much all of their *flag* moments have been dokidoki events. her character is about being pure and honest, and her love for him is indeed pure and honest.

irohasu is probably the most *genuine* of the group, aside from komachi. she completely drops her facade around 8man and one could argue that they're in a weird way the closest pair (obviously aside from him and komachi)

komachi is effectively his wife, as referenced at many times. their relationship is marriage without the marriage.

really wish komachi (and honestly all of the other girls) would be a bigger part of the story, but it's completely gravitated toward yukinoshita since halfway through s1 and remains so. LNs are probably reaching close to climax+conclusion time. a few iroha novels wouldnt be bad though...

There is as well a degree of guilt within both of them, but particularly Yukino in that they sort of "force" 8man to do these things, and go out of the way to sacrifice himself; and most recently, sacrifice his principles and ideals for the club.

Secondly, though it has been forgotten until recently, the club has a competitive edge to it to with the 8man vs Yukino thing. The one thing Yukino would never accept was that 8man is the type of guy to throw away his principles to"win". With that she'd lose the only person she thought she could really connect with.

I was contradicting the concept that yukino is better than yui because he likes the man behind the mask. She doesn't and that's why she silently lashed out at volume 8. She didn't have a problem about him sacrificing himself before, why do it now? What he did with sagami was basically the same. He avoided the problem, saved sagami and got shit at the end. He preserved the superficiality of how sagami was seen by others by protecting her incompetence.
