I enjoyed it's mediocre. But madhouse should've adapted something else
>No it was a very good adaptation, most of /a/ didn't care for it since most people have read the manga
I doubt a lot of people on /a/ have read the manga considering how underage neo/a/ is.
Better adaptation than David's JoJo's Bizarre Adventure outside of Phantom Blood's blu-ray release. I'd consider it one of the better adaptations of a classic in the last 5 years.
Add more guts to the gore and change the music, would be a very good show.
It had a good beginning 12 episodes, but after Kana died, it was just decreasing in quality. Forced romance with Murano, the entire fight with that one fucking Toguro parasyte was lame, and the end was just bad. I'ts not terribel I'm just disappointed. Still the one of the best in a shit season, but only 7/10.
It IS shitty dubstep wub-wub garbage.
You've never listened to "heavy electronic music".
Go listen to Hotline Mami 1-2 OST and compare it with garbage in Parasyte OST.
/a/ didn't care for it but it was good, definately worth a watch if you haven't read the manga. People tend to act a lot like people and the "villians" and just murdering to murder cuz its so coool.
I know right.
uh, the point was questioning if the parasites were really evil as shinichi claimed. They're pretty comparable to humans. The conclusion it ends up drawing is that we're not that bad, we're just doing what we think we need to survive.
>parasyte gave me hope that anime could be good again.
>then i found out it the manga was from the 80's so nope
Leave anime to me.
I'm surprised a solid manga finished time ago took this long to get adapted.
I was really pleased in watching it, Certainly one of the best in 2015 or 2014 what ever category you put it in.
Gotou's fight was really underwhelming though.
Wow lel ouch you are so honest with your opinion, I'm almost wanting to become your first friend.
I dont know who that is
Everything past episode 18 or 19 kind of felt superflous. Like, it wrapped up loose ends, but the climax of the story is absolutely the park scene with reiko.
I didn't like the message it was trying to show at the end, but the whole development of Shinichi, losing his humanity and learning to survive, adapt and work with migi was fantastic.
The problems were with how bad a character Murano was, how the school had multiple mass killings and attacks and remained open, and also how Shinichi was involved in so much of the parasite stuff and the police pretty much ignored him after questioning him a couple of times, and taking some hair.
I dont pay attention to the industry at all.
sometimes i think i should but then i read about some anon sperging over a seiyuu or how X show is going to save all of anime and think better of it.
Fuck off with your mediocre opinion faggots.
Good show. Not that it has genuinely superb storytelling but more along the lines of the story taking itself seriously instead of trying to sell itself by introducing irrelevant and asinine waifu material for degenerates like /a/ to enjoy.
Main girl was one of the most annoying characters that I can remember. I liked the Untz Untz Wub OST, but I thought they did some weird cuts. Even though it got worse towards the end and the ending was complete shit, it was an enjoyable show.
I enjoyed it overall but it was pretty inconsistent. All the things that frustrated /a/ were genuinely frustrating and it took away from the adaptation overall.
You're the kind of person who recognizes some tropes from American dubstep and instantly calls the whole production bad thinking that you've succeeding at critiquing it. Not only is that process stupid, but calling all American dubstep bad and more or less equally so is really fucking wrong.
It's fine if you can't enjoy the music because you recognize some staples from a style you dislike, but you're fucking up if you think there's nothing else to be examined. On the whole the OST wasn't great, but I certainly wouldn't call it garbage. You don't get to be snobby because you've heard something better.
and I didn't mean to use overall twice
You mean the ending with Goutou or the vignette from the last episode?
>You're the kind of person who recognizes some tropes from American dubstep and instantly calls the whole production bad thinking that you've succeeding at critiquing it
>whole production bad
Not just I never called "whole" production bad but only shitty wub-wub dubpster (and there's no difference between American or non-American because it's always the same shit and is completely irrelevant to any particular place) but also you are pretending to know something about electronic music while actually knowing FUCKING NOTHING about it.
Sasuga dumbshit tripfag. I'm not even hating on tripfags but in your case it's completely natural.
>posts mediocre ed-bangercore as shining example of the style done right
>doesn't mention anything I said but goes "you're dumb so I'm right"
>shitty wub-wub dubpster
Okay anon, well it's pretty clear that I can't be reasonable with you. I'm not an especially big fan of the OST mainly because there are hundreds of small basement producers in Japan making the same sort of stuff but much better. That said, it's not garbage and I think the reason you're calling it garbage is precisely what I said in the first post.
>defending wubwub garbage
I bet your taste is as shit as your face because I can imagine your expression while you post that stupid shit right here.
Go sink in feces please.
I only say "in Japan" to emphasize that it's not like there's no scene there for that style. Of course people around the world are making that stuff well too.
Of course there are many, many more, but all of those people are in Japan making the same kind of music as Ken Arai but better. Most of those people making better music are too young to even post here. That said, it's still stupid to call it 'wubwub garbage'. He's adept enough at what he's doing. He even threw a half-baked trap beat on there. He's trying, and what came out wasn't too bad.
My taste has nothing to do with any of this, but I can at least tell you for certain that I'm not especially thrilled by any of those artists.
Oh god the Reiko park scene was beautiful, With that ED playing I think that will always be the best moment in the show.
Following me on /a/ too Merem? Jesus.
All those things in the plotline that didn't make sense really took away from it. Like >>124528306 said, it did better than most at taking itself seriously, but that also means that the stupid bullshit along the way that would never actually happen ruin it all the more.
I also didn't like the lack of answers at the end. I know the mangaka wanted to focus only on Shinichi's story and purposely avoided talking about where the parasites came from and what else they were doing globally, but regardless of his intentions I think the absence of those things made the story a little unsatisfying.
It's naturally more annoying to hear a character lust over the MC rather than read it.
I didn't think she was overtly trying to be cute. It's hard to present a tough girl while also having to present how she's madly in unrequited love with the MC. Pathetic and tough don't really jive. Some stuff got lost in translation, but it wasn't bad.
>The show fizzed out after the swat was killed the parasyte government council.
The episode where Shinichi and Migi first tried to kill Goutou was one of the best of the series.
pretty good,a good surprise since it's more original than the rest of the shit we normally get.
One of the memorable anime from last year (though it was a shitty year), 7.5/10 - maybe 8
This thread is confusing. Are people hating on Parasyte as a whole, or just the adaptation?
I was entertained enough by the Manga. Is the adaptation solid enough aside from some of the character re-designs?
I already got over the soundtrack. Is there anything else to be disappointed by?
It was good
>Shinichi is a static character
gr8 b8 m8 1/8 made me reply
When will retards like you fuck off?
>"b-but he's not a completely different character with none of his original personality left by the end so he's static lel"
You are flat out wrong. The change from start to finish is quite drastic. Despite that, he retains some aspects of his original character which is practically the definition of good character development.
It's a solid adaptation, the main differences lie with the characters and the time-period update. /a/ is just hating on it because people like it. Neither the anime nor the manga were incredible, but they were certainly good. A solid 7/10 plus any points you wanna throw in for personal enjoyment.
Your taste is fucking garbage.
