Stop letting them streamline their own shit novel plots into anime. Line up the events: they went to shit right as they started (essentially) writing their own stories. They're at their best when adapting other works.

And before you say "KyoAni isn't writing the novels". They might as well be because they own the publishing company and are hand picking which they'll adapt.
