You guys always talk about Lancer luck but Berserker is the one who gets shit on the most in all routes
>Strongest hero of the war
>Always gets defeated by some bullshit
>Can't protect his daughteru in any of the routes
Being Berserker is suffering
He always dies being a badass though.
>Defeated by a sword that kills him seven times and then comments on it as he dies.
>Defeated by Gilgamesh but even so he is able to break Enkidu before dying.
>Defeated by MC that uses one of his tricks but even so he would have killed MC if not for stopping the attack after noticing daughteru thanks to the strength of his own heart.
Who the fuck cares.
Its the UBW route which is literally the worst one of the three. The only people who keep defending UBW like autistic retards who squeel like little piglings are Rinfags anyway. Always desperatly in denial, that their battle shounen route which is about Shirou being a superhero, is the best.
Kinda ironic that he fails to save anyone except Rin.
MoS > UBW
And she dies twice by being impaled with swords. And the third time has her husbando die in front of her in a horrible fashion.
This is actually one of the "faithfuliest" adaptations I've ever seen. I think some secondaries are getting the wrong idea when they see people complain about the 5% at most that is changed or seeing Nasu say it's another parallel world.
It was Saber's doing that she made Shirou's Projected Caliburn go up few levels.
All of Gil weapons are launched as arrows not used as proper noble phantasm.
In Fate Caliburn was used after stabbing into Berserker, not launched.
It's like comparing raw excalibur vs excaliblast or ea drilling into rider in F/Z at the end and using Enuma Elish.
Caliburn was being used at that moment by two people who can claim to have "mastery" over it.
Saber mastered it in life and it was the sword that was the first part of her legend (sword in the stone) and Shirou traced its entire legend and had as much control over it as Saber had.
Basically, an incredibly OP sword got buffed by 100% twice.
I doubt that. It's based around Heracles' 12 Labors/Labours which something that doesn't depend on class. Infact, most of Heracles' trials relied more on cunning and resourcefulness rather than brute strength. Heracles would likely have God Hand in most if not all classes.
If Nasu can dig up an obscure spear and dagger for his cash cow then Hercules' weapons and objects connected to his legend also count as Noble Phantasms.
Unlike the first two whose existence solely exist for author wanking, Herc's weapons are well recorded.
Considering the attention towards Arthurian legends, I'm surprised we aren't seeing more Knights. We have seen Arthur,Lancelot (although that may have been Urobutcher), Gawain & Mordred. I'm surprised Key, Percival & Galahad aren't there.
An excellent warrior, he possesses the qualifications corresponding to six classes excluding Caster. Other than specializing with the bow, he has mastered every weapon. However, all that is talk about times when he is not Berserker. Heracles as a Berserker has lost his rationality, and exists only to utterly defeat the enemy from the front as directed by Ilya. Naturally, there is no such thing as detailed tactics, leaving it to physical ability and brandishing an axe-sword to strike. Astonishingly, with just that, it is a fact that he demonstrates hand-to-hand combat abilities superior to every Servant. Without breaking to even think about defense, he leaves it to his Noble Phantasm "God Hand."
They even acknowledge Heracles' archer skills
That's because Herc is a meme servant.
>Shirou traced its entire legend and had as much control over it as Saber had.
But he outright says he's not a wielder and had no control over it. His hands were starting to rip apart.
That's why Saber lent a hand in the first place.
The latter three were mentioned in GoA.
No, Kay is more of a diplomat and a smooth talker. Like in actual mythology Galahad was the strongest, beating Gawain in five strikes and everyone else in less than that.
Anon, Shirou's UBW means that he traces the entire history and mastery of the sword whenever he projects one.
He is a faker. He only downloads and copies the mastery of the weapons. When the weapons fade, so to does the mastery. Thats why he isnt a wielder, he is a Blacksmith of sorts.
By Nasu-verse logic, older is better. Originally Sir Key was Arthur's best knight, then they made it Gawain, then Lancelot & finally Galahad. Seeing as Sir Key was "the best" first, he'd be the strongest.
You mean Gawain with or without the injuries? People constantly go back & edit things. Infact, how old was Gawain when that happened?
Cu sadly only had his Gay Bulge. What about Caster-Cu though?
>Rhondowhatever is obscure compared to the importance Nasu gives it.
It was the Lance Arther used to kill Mordred, wasnt it?
That was a pretty key moment, anon. And you say Nasu gives it importance but it isnt mentioned once in the entire game.
Anon, that is LITERALLY what the VN tells you and goes to great lengths to tell you in UBW especially.
Shirou can wield swords as well as their original heros because he essentially traces their entire experience with them. However, that experience goes as soon as the weapon does.
The only weapons he can claim to be actually skilled in the usage of are Kanshou and Byakuya.
If Nasu would be consistent than Arthurian myth would be pretty shitty.
I mean they basicaly took celtic mythology and painted over it.
For example they split Cu in 2 or more parts with Kay getting a transformation and fire aura and Gawain getting a toned down "Bricriu's feast" with the Green Knight and Cu's status as a Sun-hero
So I guess you missed the part where Shirou traced Berserker's slab sword and was then able to use 9 Lives because he traced Heracles experience with the weapon, right?
Dear god people have gotten retarded in these threads.
>A important part is that he can't do it as well as the "original"
No. You have inturpreted that wrongly.
The weapons he traces are always a rank down from the original weapons BUT he will always trace the entire history of the weapon and wield it with the profficiency that the original hero did.
Of course, he then as physical limitations as he is a human and that even with tracing the history and experience he still cant match up to a servant who has god like speed and strength.
Some stuff from GoA.
Kay was a tsundere;
Merlin is not dead, so he is not in the Throne of Heroes;
Tristan was quite popular due his good looks and poetic behavior. Also a master of the bow just like in legends, but when other bowmen assessed him, they would give evaluations such as "I would hesitate to call that a bow" or "You have fundamental misunderstandings about what a bow is";
Agravain was a cool-headed knight who didn't speak much nor let his emotions show on his face. Worked as Arturia's secretary. Rarely fought on the front lines but, upon heading out to the battlefield, he would always return uninjured no matter what sort of strong foe he faced. This earned him the moniker "Agravain who knew no wounds". Truth is, he was an assassin dispatched by Morgan and once threatened Guinevere. Killed by Lancelot due to his insult to the Queen;
Percival adored King Arthur more than anyone. Lost his life in the quest for the Holy Grail;
Galahad was admired as the perfect knight, the young boy who would shoulder the next generation of the Round Table. Ended up ascending to heavens along with the Holy Grail;
Gareth and Gaheris were mentioned in name only;
Servants were stronger alive than as servants.
He can't beat servants with copied skills because they just aren't as good as the "real deal"
There's a reason Archer trained his own technique instead of relying on traced skills
Well Acht isn't exactly a great thinker. All his plans seems to come from frodos.
>why didn't they just summon a god
>why not just hire an anti-mage assassin to fight for them.
"young boy" is code word for "girl pretending to be a man"
Nasu pls unwrap your lips from Sabers cock and stop with the Arthurian bullshit.
alexander the great also didn't own a chariot pulled by magical bulls
galahad's associated with a white shield with a vermilion cross, and the shield has the same cross pattern. her armor also looks similar to lancelot
she's galahad, guaranteed
So what Noble Phantasms would Galahad have aside from some Holy Grail-esque item? I remember they combined tales where Gawain wielded Excalibur & stories of Galatine into Excalibur Galatine as well as turning stories themselves or abilities into NPs like Knight of Honour & God Hand but still.
But Welsh came first thus according to Nasu, they should be stronger because they're older.
It's 420 lets talk about the 3rd HGW.
Was Hitler a Magus?
Was he a part of the Church?
Why don't you call him a cuck servant while you're at it
He can't keep up with the weapon though, He wasn't swinging caliburn around, caliburn was defending on it's own and tearing shirou's arms apart in the process, he could barely hold onto it.
Again, he has physical limitations and prana limitations that Servants dont have.
Its all well him having the experience and ability to wield it but he falls down on the magical energy and stats side.
Then again, UBW is more than enough to take on any other human or magus. He, like all other humans, is just completely outclassed by Servants.
Didn't they summon him as Heracles specifically because he would have second thoughts about the whole Holy Grail thing?
By the way, in any of the Grail Wars, was there ever any Servant who was explicitly against it?
So how long until Dr.Gilgamesh 2.0 webm edition?
No, they did it because they were trying to cheat.
Berserker class gets a load of buffs as its supposed to be the class where a "weak" master can summon a weak servant but they then receive buffs at the expense of the Servants reasoning.
Einzberns were like
>Why not have a strong master summon Berserker??! Then its all of the Berserker class buffs with none of the negatives!!!!
But she knows how to please a man doesnt she?
what fate spin-off is this? why does Shirou look sorta off?
By buffs he probably meant the mad enhancement, there's nothing else really that buffs the berserker class.
Heracles kind of suffered from the loss of sanity and other NPs (the OP as fuck poison arrows) he could've gotten in other classes, Lancelot was fine because of the eternal arms mastership that kept his skills sharp even through the insanity and little to no loss to his NPs (only for someones glory got nerfed really).
>he couldn't keep up with the Gate of Babylon AS WELL AS HE DID WITH MAD ENHANCEMENT
Don't forget that part. Without it he would've probably needed to go into offence immediately instead of just standing around and waiting for Gilgamesh to fire another barrage.
Yeah, he would've probably lost by default every time he would've encountered her simply because of the guilt.
With mad enhancement he just loses his shit instead of spaghetti.
Any stuff on FemShirou and MaleRin?
Most if not all of the RT knights have a sword made by fairies and fashioned in the same way as Excalibur.
Gawain, Galahad, Lancelot, Bedivere and Bors all owned one while Percival got a spear instead.
no its fucking brilliant. Heracles would fuck them up the ass if he wasnt berzerker. He would be summoned, look around, notice they fuck with ilya and then murder them all. As berzerker he just follows commands, no worries.
why was arcueid afraid of aoko when shiki mentioned her? Why would aoko even care about her in the first place and what could she even realistically do to her even if she did hate arcueid?
Hitler probably wasn't a magus in the Nasuverse sense, but he was heavily into occultism and the first thing he did whenever he conquered a city was to search in every church and museum for any holy artifact he could find.
They didn't have enough swords so they gave Percival a spear? Oh what a lucky guy he is. Let me guess, he has Irish relatives or something, right?
>Mashu, as described in the Epic of Gilgamesh of Mesopotamian mythology, is a great cedar mountain through which the hero-king Gilgamesh passes via a tunnel on his journey to Dilmun after leaving the Cedar Forest, a forest of ten thousand leagues span.
>summon Shieldbro as Shielder
Liz wears old-fashioned underwear
It's all still bullshit as fuck.
Nasu never released info data on Caliburn to cover his ass. God Hand makes Heracles immune to everything that killed him previously. Caliburn must have been super extra bullshit to kill him seven times
Can't tell. Need more material to judge
He protected her in HF.
Most loyal servant, would summon.
Nasu already retconned the armor thing down to just an increase in defense against attacks that have hurt him previously (only after he regenerates). It can get up to the point where he's immune but it will take a few deaths to get there.
Lancelot would've been a command spell sink, if you wanted to use For Someone's Glory properly.
He's overall a very strong ordinary servant, on par with Deermud and other "normal" servants.
Without impersonation trickery he can't keep up with monsters like Saibah or Cu or Alex.
Herac didn't even get any of his toys.
He didn't get the hydra poison.
He didn't get the Olive Branch.
He didn't get the Nemean Lion's Fur.
>Berserker is his worst class
Maybe, but it's class that fits him best.
He is most well known for getting angry and throwing everything away in his rage time and time again.
Every time he was living a happy and fulfilled life, something happened that made him lose it and destroy it all.
Heracles doesn't really make much sense in any class other than Berserker.
The glorious and shining Sir Gawain was only giving that poor sod a chance, so he wouldn't embarrass himself.
Truly Sir Gawain is the greatest and most righteous knight of them all.
>Without impersonation trickery he can't keep up with monsters like Saibah or Cu or Alex.
Even without the mad enhancement he's a fucking powerhouse. Alexander would need to pop RM, not sure about Cu (would need to see his stats without the enhancement to judge those two) but he would wipe the floor with Saber. He has the eternal weapon mastership that's given only to the best in his lifetime, during his life he was already superior or at least on par with Saber, not to mention his sword that is pretty much a direct counter to Saber.
>Cant keep up with Saber
He destroys her when they fight.
>Ordinary servant like Diarmud
Nasu mentions that Diarmud can theoretically win the war if he played dirty and used hit and run tactics. But the entire strategy pretty much relies on letting Lancelot beat the shit out of everyone.
>But the entire strategy pretty much relies on letting Lancelot beat the shit out of everyone.
Which means Diarmud is just an ordinary Servant. I don't even know why you felt the need to point that out.
pops RM, soldiers dogpile Lance, Lance dies.
Yeah, no way he could take him on.
>He destroys her when they fight.
>he would wipe the floor with Saber
He kept up after having all of his stats increased by two with his sword and Mad Enhancement.
O woe befall upon me! For the longest of times I hath anticipated the arrival of the strongest and most loyal of knights yet foul magicks have sullied such arrival.
Mine rage knoweth no boundaries, yet I must clear my mind and I shall try again.
A true Servant worthy of his Master's crest combats his foes in the art of swordplay and not with devilish trickery!
Because when people talk about Hercules they talk about how he got the golden apple or how he carried the earth for Atlas or the river and stable thing. I don't know many people who know the full details of his legend.
You're making it sound like it she wasn't literally pounded into the ground.
And the thing with Cu is that Lancelot is superior in stats, assuming that the shown stats are his mad enhanced, which is basically what he would have if he was normal but with Arondight out. With extra saving throws, protection of the fairies and not a shitty luck stat he is pretty much guaranteed to survive gae bolg. It's stupid to say that he would cetrainly win, but to say that he wouldn't even pose a threat is equally stupid.
Heimdall or something different rainbow shit. There is a snow in her trailer so must be scandinavian.
Joyeuse, Charlemagne's sword, was said to change colours (rainbow sword).
The Sword of Attila was also known as the sword of Charlemagne at one point.
She is quoted saying "i hold the power of a god of war in my hands" (or something like that)
The Sword of Attila is also called the Sword of Mars, aka the Roman God of War.
She is genderbent Attila the Hun.
Rainbow sword and a place with snow.
>He kept up
The wounds that Berserker had inflicted on her were beyond that which could be cured by her regenerative abilities. The once shining platinum armor was also stained black in places by Berserker’s countless attacks. Her bloodless skin was white as paper. Her knees were weak, her ankles trembled, her breathing was rapid; with every step, pain wracked her entire body, almost making her lose consciousness
He wiped the floor with her.
At least Buzakah was lucky in one way.
That's not even a matter of Nasu faux stats op.
when was the last time you saw a big guy win something in anime? they're just a pile of meat put there to make the twink on shift look a badass.
Before ufotable's UBW, you'd've been right.
There was no excuse. Actually the only reason he uses it in Fate is because he knows that he'll be fighting Caster and Saber. His armor is completely useless against Berserker and he was was mockingly visiting Sakura in HF, I doubt he expected a fight.
Actually it's because he really likes the slavshit tracksuit, apparently.
He got it disinfected after Shinji touched it and getting Cu's funeral ashes on it was enough to spoil his mood and make him not slaughter Shirou.
Look at how any possible cool Servants here.
>You'll never princess carry Sella away to a happy life together
It gets harder to find reasons to live each and every single day
The inner slav demanded it.
>Scipio Africanus never
>Julius Caesar never
They actually can be anybody. I remember how everyone tried to guess original of CCC Lancer and nobody guessed it.
Why the fuck Kayneth summoned Diarmuid when he could have summoned his boss? It is as if instead of summoning the main figure in the mythic cycle you summon one of the support characters.
Also the same guy that had the respect of his troops and was sent in Asia to weaken his influence but still racked up victories. Also
>recovering 2 of the 3 lost legion eagles
Well his number one catalyst got stolen.
The real question is why he tried to summon mediocre ass heroes in the first place.
Or better yet why he didn't summon a Japanese hero since they are fighting in Japan.
One of the support characters who, what, killed 3500 people in one day?
Diarmuid was pretty ballin' in his myth. But he would probably be better as a Saber instead of Lancer. Moralltach was supposed to always succeed in its first combat, so that basically means a guaranteed victory in round 1 at least.
Liz is cute and have nice tits, but Sella still looks better.
He wanted a Saibah with two swords
>He also qualifies for the Saber class, and he would use the two magical swords Moralltach (モラルタ, ?) and Beagalltach (ベガルタ, ?) as his Noble Phantasms. Kayneth's original expectations may have been to have summoned him as Saber.
But he got Lancer with two spears.
>mfw Shirou fucks Gil up with his dick still wet from Tohsaka juices
There's no rule. It's just "Holy Grail is a Western Concept so no Eastern Heroes", according to Nasu.
Kojiro doesn't count because he's not even an HS.
Also Moon Cell doesn't have that restriction because it's moon cell. And Koha-Ace doesn't because it's Kohaku's crazy hilarious pipe dream.
No it isn't. It's just that Japanese heroes aren't compatible with the holy grail concept as per Nasu's word. Sasaki was summoned by Caster by manipulating the rules and he had no wish.
Well yeah, all the Fianna were pretty ballin' by feats. Still, I think he could have chosen better.
And why is Fionn even brown haired? I suppose it is due ufotable not doing research, but I will try to handwave it with that story about Fionn losing his fair hair due to a curse and everything going downhill after it.
Yes. As a general principle, the closer the Servant is to its homeland, and the more famous the Servant is in the place where it was summoned, the more powerful the Servant gets.
Iskandar is a serious "all or nothing" hero. When he wins, he wins hard and the opponent has no chance to even scratch him.
When he loses, it's a disgrace because his big flashy EX rank NP accounted for nothing.
>you are probably just a hater
His stats are pretty weak, his skills have nothing unique, he has a good noble phantasm that straight loses to anyone with an Anti Army NP or people who don't give a fuck about fighting whole armies.
Reminder that even Shirou could beat Iskandar if he traced Hrunting.
>herk got summoned in the west where he got the full boost from his famousness. Then he got shipped to nippon.
wait, shouldnt he have gotten all his toys, then? I remember reading that if Cu had been summoned on his native soil and THEN shipped to japan, his stats and arsenal would have been way better. Isn't that true for herc as well?
>he has a good noble phantasm that straight loses to anyone with an Anti Army NP or people who don't give a fuck about fighting whole armies.
Yay is your own shitty fan wank. You don't know the interaction between the two or how much damage a anti army would do against IH. Then again you are also dismissing his Bulls for no reason.
Because he's a Berserker ? Pretty sure versatile heroes like him with many weapons gets fucked the most by the hero > servant transition, Gil being the exception because GoB itself is his weapon.
Legendary Hero: Flying Wishes
52 eps; Production: Mar-Dec2015
>A Sacred Imperial Seal exist in this fictional world, and ignites a War of Wish every 300 years. Heroes of legendary fame will be chosen to participate in this war for the Seal. Amongst the participants are Lau, a chef from a kung fu school, Lee, a guy who wants to rid the world of evil, and some random martial artist guy. Lau doesn't even have a wish going into the war, and has to look for one in the process.
Screw Nasu, we are getting Chinese heroes in the live action not-F/SN.
And you are still dismissing the defense his bulls give? Anyways I am done you are one of those hellbent retards who can't admit he is a good hero based on your own wankery when even Nasu says he is one of the great ones.
Depends on which area.
Shirou's amazing at Japanese cooking but not much experience with Chinese or Western.
Rin's very good with Chinese but doesn't even feel confident in cooking Miso soup for Japanese food
I'm bored, someone come up with a servant and I'll draw them in MS paint.
>Tristan was quite popular due his good looks and poetic behavior. Also a master of the bow just like in legends, but when other bowmen assessed him, they would give evaluations such as "I would hesitate to call that a bow" or "You have fundamental misunderstandings about what a bow is"
This made me curious as fuck. Was he launching arrows with a sling or something?
Neko-Arc and Neko-Arc Chaos would wreck Taiga's shit.
It's like how he puts on a Batman voice the entire game. Shirou's still super chuuni at heart.
Because of contrived bullshit explanation X. Gil's effective magic resistance is still higher due to enchantments and charms and shit he finds in his vault. All in all, Nasu is a hack.
>Summon Heracles, one of the strongest hero to ever walk to the earth
>Summon him as a berserker, instead of lancer, archer or saber
Imagine Heracles with all it's head. Eizberns cannot into servants.
The Eizeberns have faced betrayal before.(i.e. Kerry) They decided Herc is strong enough & that total control is more important than more power.
Speaking of the Holy Bible, wasn't the 666th beast or King David supposed to be summoned in FS/N or F/A but latter scrapped? I wonder what they would have been like.
