Is this moment right here the pinnacle of shounen manga?
>No, this is.
more like pic related, fuck off shit piece shill.
>blatant dbz rip off
seriously the ending of the Ant Arc IS the most elegant and beautiful 25 chapters in any media. It's perfect in every way.
The way information is used by every single actor is beautiful.
Based on what, how it looks? Never mind that the actual execution was unconventionally depressing and lacking the triumphant/victorious feeling usually associated with powerups. Gon was not portrayed as a hero, just an angry kid hurting himself and his friends and winning a miserable, unsatisfying one sided beatdown.
I would say 'except death doesn't matter in DBZ' and it doesn't, but given that
Kite comes back and Gon recoversthe impact is lessened if you go further. At the time however, the situation was different because it's not like Gon lost someone in front of him. There was no chance of him bringing him back at that time and he was pretty much a zombie.
The guy who said generic probably meant "DBZ" generic. After the first SSJ transformation Goku does take the triumphant look though so yeah.
You need to remember that with the Earth Dragonballs, you can only revive someone once and at the time everyone thought Namek balls would be the same in the sense that they can't revive someone that's already been revived with the dragonballs. Since Krillin was killed during the Picollo saga his death on Namek was supposed to matter, but yeah it's shonen after all.
