I don't remember exactly but it's probably about this (spoilers):
The girl's name is Chisato. Her little brother really liked chocolate and then he died in a car accident. After that, Chisato hated chocolate and never got over her depression. She keeps trying to feed the MC chocolate since they're childhood friends and she uses him as a support. Eventually he gets sick of it and tells her to get over it. It sounds dumb and it is in hindsight, but it was handled decently by the show.

So yeah. This is probably a reaction to that.
