What's the biggest change you want in season two?
You put the boom-boom into my heart
You send the shells sky high when the shellin' starts
Dive bombs droppin' like rain
Goes a bang-bang-bang 'til the fleet do the same
But something's buggin' me
Somethin' ain't right
Isokaze told me how you were preparin' last night
Left me livin', while you're dead
I was thinking that I shoulda' sunk with you instead
Wake me up before ten-go go
Don't leave me all alone just like Yamato
Wake me up and let's ten go-go
I don't want to miss it when we fight and die
Wake me up before ten-go go
'Cause I'm not plannin' on survivin' solo
Wake me up and let's ten go go
Take me to the bottom tonight
Goin' all Shinjitaaiiiiiii (天号作戦)
Happy Ten-go day everyone!

Have the Yuru Yuri/Sabagebu writer be in charge.
Why are CVLs so useless but so fucking beautiful?
The yuri episodes were the best after all.
What if they added the Admiral in as a character in season two,
but he was married?
Best way to start off episode 1 in season two.
Izumo and Kashigara Maru are just cruise ships cosplaying as aircraft carriers is why.
Reminder that the IJN top brass sent the greatest ship ever built by Japan, the flagship of the entire fleet, on a pointless suicide mission so they wouldn't have to answer awkward questions about why she survived the war.
This was expressly stated by admirals after the surrender. They thought it would be a black mark on the IJN's reputation if its flagship survived the war. So they sank it, killing all of its sailors, as well as a bunch of destroyers. And the fuel for the mission came from the reserves allocated for convoy escorts that month, so even more ships were sunk by submarines that might otherwise have survived. During a devastating shipping crisis.
Never, ever, let anyone tell you that the IJN was less retarded than the IJA.
tl;dr. Time for outfit swap?
I want to see Housho having sex with other girls too.
>They will sleep together permanently. At the bottom of the sea.
Houshou survived and got scrapped though.
What about girls in different outfits?
>Sabagebu writer in charge
>makes Shiranui have Momoka's personality
Which anime are the girls watching this season?
Even the concept of the suicide mission was retarded. Let's take a battleship, the greatest of its class, and fucking beach it, negating its considerable speed and maneuverability on the open seas, and turn it into the worlds' biggest shittiest pillbox.
If the USN had known just how retarded their plan was, they might have just let it happen. The stationary Yamato would have been big enough to bomb from high altitudes by B-52s at zero risk.
Useless useless useless.
The alternative would be the Americans capturing her.
I still wonder what would of happened if that did take place. Would she get a nuke in the face like Nagato? Turned into scrap for Japan's reconstruction? Or would she be fighting right by Iowa chan's side after she gets modernized?
>As unfortunate bastards who were swept along by the great current of fate into a miserable end
Anime Wo in a nutshell, just replace 'miserable' with 'cut out'.
Kongou is watching whatever will allow her to shitpost the most.
A big shitty pillbox is better than a battleship without fuel because neither can move, but at least you can't sink it. It would serve at least temporarily as a new beachhead.
It's an allegory for the war. Well, thousands of soldiers don't have to die to write most allegories, but Imperial Japan never did anything by halves.
Let's drink to the memory of these girls, who were so desperate that they accepted the position of cardboard villain in a terrible show. No girl (-like entity) deserves such a fate.
Hard to say, but on the balance of it I think it would have been a prized war trophy. It might be tied up at pier in Kure or New York as a museum ship right now.
That's the other thing. Had it not been pointlessly sacrificed, Yamato and the remnants of the IJN could have been a valuable bargaining chip. Instead, they flushed their ships down the toilet to satisfy the egos of a bunch of admirals who were destined for irrelevance anyway.
Ten-Go really churns my stomach.
It would have been scrapped for metal or used for nuke testing. They didn't even save the Enterprise and big-ass conquer memorials have never really been an American thing anyway.
>valuable bargaining chip
Once you surrender you turn over all your chips, it doesn't matter how many you have left.
>Or would she be fighting right by Iowa chan's side after she gets modernized?
Iowa would call tell her that she is too slow, and leave her in the middle of the Atlantic by herself.
That's called flipping a coin.
>A big shitty pillbox is better than a battleship without fuel because neither can move, but at least you can't sink it. It would serve at least temporarily as a new beachhead.
Except you don't have to sink it, you just need to knock out the turrets. Yamato was so big, it probably could have been bombed from high altitude by B-52s.
If they wanted to salvage value out of Yamato, they could have taken the turrets off and used them as shore guns somewhere. Ten-Go was a complete waste.
The right place to put her guns probably would have been Kyushu but stationary naval installations are food for bombers wherever they are.
You're not wrong, but if the Japanese were out for maximum efficiency and didn't have to deal with the whole glory-and-honor thing they wouldn't have a third of the problems they did. Dismantling would have been out of the question.
Enterprise was scrapped because she was no longer seaworthy and had been surpassed by both the Essex and Midway-class ships. Yamato was the greatest battleship in the world at that point, in fact the greatest ever built. I sincerely doubt they would scrap it.
Especially since they were actually losing money scrapping ships...the scrap market became so glutted by the post-WW2 drawdown that it became uneconomical. That's why so many of the subs and whatnot were used as target ships.
Honorable mention to sho'ho
Speaking of Yamato.
Happy 70th anniversary of the sinking of the Yamato to those in the east coast and central time.

>Yamato was the greatest battleship in the world at that point, in fact the greatest ever built.
In a world where battleships became glorified carrier escorts and bombardment platforms. Yamato was completely useless.
Obviously more ZuikakuxShoukaku-nee and more of Bucky's harem building antics.
Poi it is
TTK: I got married (Temp)
TTK: From today on, I'm living together with her
Poi: Admiral-san's room is interesting poi!
TTK: Don't play with that pot!
TTK: From now on, this is your home too (So use it carefully)
>Which anime are the girls watching this season?
Love Live ! if this is any indication for the Abyss.
Poi: From now on, I'm Admiral-san's wife poi!?
Poi: What is this?
Shigure: That's a present from us for you marriage (temp)
Shiratsuyu: This is the best for newly wed after all!
Shigure: I wish you happy forever
Poi: Thank you everyone!
Shiratsuyu: Anyway, this is how you use this
Yes but not by as much as you think. She was only 1 km/h slower than Kaga. For the USN, she would have been considered a fast battleship (South Dakota and North Carolina were about the same).
The issue was that her huge consumption to maintain that speed and the morale loss that would accompany potential loss.
TTK: I'm back
Poi: Welcome back!
Poi: Will you eat first? Or bath first?
Poi: Or maybe you want Yuudachi, poi!?
Poor Iowa is crying alone in some crummy bar off of the Los Angelus port, knowing she will never meet her beloved rival in battle. Meanwhile, Missouri has been slowly going insane looking at Arizona's corpse for the last 60 years.
It could be worse you know. Japan has nothing on Russia
Except the Iowa-class was fulfilling those roles into the '90s.
They still had perceived value, they just weren't the centerpieces of the fleet.
Technically speaking, the Yamato was a fine ship. But...
Outdated Japanese strategic doctrine dictated that she be kept in reserve while awaiting a decisive battle with the enemy fleet. One big battle, fought for all the marbles.
Except that the US determined immediately after Pearl Harbor that a big setpiece decisive battle to decide the war was a terrible idea, and so resolved to avoid it at all costs.
Even in 1945, when it should have been obvious that the big battleship bash was never going to happen, the IJN was still fixated on making it happen.
So Yamato spent most of her time tied up at port awaiting a battle that would never occur.
>Except that the US determined immediately after Pearl Harbor that a big setpiece decisive battle to decide the war was a terrible idea, and so resolved to avoid it at all costs.
They didn't "decide it", they didn't have a choice because most of their set pieces were down. Even at Ten-go Spruance deployed a battleship fleet to meet Yamato for the decisive battle. The only reason they didn't meet was that the carriers launched without telling anyone.
TTK: Why are you dressing like that!?
Poi: It's a present from everyone. poi?
Poi: Yuudachi did her best, poi
Poi: As Admiral-san's wife!
TTK: This is really fresh by many means... (Wife...)
Gift from the sea
Poi: I caught it poi! I got him on a sortie today!
TTK: Well I'll bath first
Poi: I've prepared everything!
TTK: Won't you enter the bath with me?
This is at least cuter than the Haruna one.
I said "determined", not "decided". Specifically, they determined that a decisive battle would be a really terrible idea now that they were outgunned.
Honestly, losing the old BBs at Pearl Harbor was a blessing in disguise for the US. Plan Orange sucked, and the sooner they abandoned it the better off they were.
Poi: If...if admiral-san said so then...
Poi: I don't mind...
TTK: I'm joking
Poi: I don't know why... But I'm kinda disappointed
Lewd Dream of Solomon
Poi: If It continues like this...
Poi: I won't be a good wife, poi...!?
Poi: I must try harder...!
Poi: Eventhough I should do better...
Because that boat which Yamato was on is heavy
Poi: It's no good, poi...
TTK: Just what happened...!?
TTK: You okay!?
Poi: I'm sorry
TTK: What is this!?
TTK: So this is the cause...
Poi: Curry poi...
TTK: Poi!? (Maybe!?)
TTK: I'll clean this up...
TTK: You go take a bath
Poi: I failed again...
Poi: Y-Yuudachi will clean it...
TTK: It's fine
TTK: You can't clean looking like that. I'm fine on my own
Yes. There's. Someone uploaded after I translated it.
Poi: I'm sorry...
Poi: Yuudachi is not needed, poi...
Poi: Or maybe I'm a problem for him? I couldn't help Admiral-san with anything...
Poi: I failed as a wife...
TTK: You're hungry, right?
TTK: Then, you stop the heat for a while
Poi: Curry! Looks delicious!
TTK: Well I'm not very good at this
Poi: Even without Yuudachi, Admiral-san can do everything, poi...
TTK: Why are you thinking it like that?
TTK: It's not like I want to live with you so you can take care of me
Poi: Huh? Then why...?
TTK: You asking that now!?
>Yes. There's. Someone uploaded after I translated it.
Missed it then, happen to have a link for the download?
TTK: That's because I love you!
TTK: I thought you understand that when I gave you the ring!?
Poi: I.. I'm very embarrassed, poi...
TTK: But you made me say it!
Poi: Yuudachi... love Admiral-san too
TTK: I thought there was a distance between us but
TTK: Looks like everything will be fine
