Subs fucking now.
They were available an hour and a half ago. >>123562639
Not a chance.
Just finished the episode. Great voice acting, great direction, great music. And then you get to the fucking fight scene. Holy shit. Easily contender for AOTS if it keeps stays consistent.
BD count on offsite.
Did you watch Baccano?
Well I understand the overall construct I guess.
I just got confused by that random monster coming out of nowhere bursting out of that dudes back and the little monkey. Then seconds later suddenly robot soldiers everywhere. Action fight scenes which where really hard for me to make out. Everything in the neighborhood gets fucked up and in the end nobody gave a fuck.
Like I said. I probably need to watch it again.
To tell the truth, nothing, but every time I watch something with an interesting synopsis, every girl on a 50km radius and his sister lust for the gary stu MC's cock, and I really hate that.
he is not a gary-stu and there is absolutely no love interest, unless the original character by Bones is supposed to play that role. Even then, that would merely make it romantic rather than harem. Don't be a retard, son. At least read the synopsis properly.
Thanks, I'll watch it.
And it's not my fault that every anime nowadays is either battle shounen and harems, because that is what sells. It's a shame, because I love the harem genre (Negima, Love Hina, TLR), but it's shoehorned everywhere nowadays.
Shit I fucking loved it, The setting is great and what we've needed for a long time.
The fight scenes and music are good too along with a generic but okay story line, Supporting characters are pretty interesting too.
Best first episode so far for me.
The only really Rie Matsumoto-like thing in the ep was this stuff.
Dat Yutapon cut was insane though.
I used your timestamp so didnt really look at what scene it was but when I viewed it I realized the subs are kinda necessary for this one. I cant seem to get them on there though sorry
Who is this faggot? I thought he sounded like Matsumoto Sachi but I'm not sure.
So, is somebody gonna sub this that doesn't bury half the screen in gigantic, stupidly spaced, uglily outlined text?
Look I don't expect these people to be masters of typography, but come the FUCK ON.
you havent been reading the threads, have you? Wait until Funi releases it so horriblesubs will release it on nyaa
or just read the manga chapter the first episode is of. these are your only options, dont complain
So, we're actully looking forward to an HS release now?
How the mighty have fallen.
It's just... I just can't understand that somebody looked at this and thought it a good idea.
Even from the pre-season threads I could tell that the Kekkai Sensen threads would be deserted, which is fine, as it pretty much avoids all shitposting. Although there was good discussion yesterday while waiting for the subs.
I dont think that many people know about it. I heard about it maybe a week or week and a half ago. I could have easily missed it. I randomly saw th pv and wrote the name down to keep tabs on it. Had no idea it would come out this soon
if I'm not mistaken those are daisuki subs. I'm not touchy, just that I got from his post he would rather not watch an anime he was interested in than watch it with HS subs which is spectacularly retarded
I thought Gintama meets Baccano was kind of a joke or at the very least an exaggeration. Turns out it's completely true. Top notch VAs, soundtrack, animation, and art. The story so far has been well told and the dialogue wasn't bad at all.
>Sister is blind
>He WRITES a letter
He's kind of an asshole.
He's the Kitsune character of the show.
Well hes stupid enough for it.
Maybe I'm just a pleb, but I thought it was all over the place.
It started with MC flashing back to a flash back then just started throwing a shit ton of terminology that made no sense, no fucking clue what libra or gates or splitting or blood techniques are or their significance in the world. Seems like it might be this season's kyousougiga or uchoten kazoku, something that starts off with amazing production values that quickly deteriorates, with half of /a/ proclaiming it's saving anime and then never mentioned again after airing.
Not that I think it's bad or anything since you fuckers can't take criticism, definite 3 episode rule at least.
Till this day I never believed there were honestly people that enjoyed long plot expositions and anime starting with "My name is Honda Suzuki, I was a normal X until the day Y happened and now we must fight the Z"
Holy fuck, this episode was a BLAST! I'm generally not into action shounen stuff, but this is probably AOTS. The fight scene was great and the whole narrative was genius. With some funky jazz that gives off an atmosphere right out of some 50s film noir, this is a mix between so many things that it works like a fucking tank.
A BLAST, I tell ya.
Nope, criticism is welcome, but I think you were just not paying attention at all.
>MC flashing back to a flash back
yes, you understand that.
>shit ton of terminology that made no sense
literally read the subs, mate
secret organisation that fights evil
something like a portal, mate, which allows the monster to appear
they use their blood with different styles of fighting (some burn it use it as a sword, some make crosses out of their blood)
actually, for Libra it was written, quote:
>secret society in the sealed city of magic
then Zapp tells you what happened to the city - the gangs, the monsters, etc and that
>we risk our lives to stop the most dangerous of them
So how could you miss it again? You were just not paying attention.
now to the part with the gate.
If you're referring to the gate that explains why the city is in such a weird state (the one that destroyed and rebuilt the city) then there is no exact explanation, that's part of the mystery, mate.
if you're referring to the gates the one specific monster (or two halves) came from then it's simple. We see a half of the monster coming out of the bandit through a gate/portal which looks very similar to the the other half that came out of the monkey.
Then we get to
>rules are simple
>find the gate that split the robber before the demon does it and destroy it
>the gate opens every few minutes so that's your chance
So you're supposed to infer that a monster was split into half, one half came already out trough the bandit, the other half is on the monkey and it comes out every 13 minutes. The demon wants to reunite with the second half obviously so he's trying to find the monkey, wait till the gate opens again and reunite. Hence they are following the monkey and trying to kill so that the monster doesn't reunited
I have been waiting for this. Thanks anon
Yeah, too bad the anime didn't deliver it as good as the manga.
Also I'm a bit sad they skipped the boss wrecking Zapp shit in a friendly exchange of blows, Chain bitch behaviour toward Zapp, Klaus being mad about the destruction of his potted plants and the more authoritarian lines of the police forces.
"Thankfully" only the first three chapter which cover exactly the first episode were online, so I'll not suffer from comparing the next episodes to the manga.
Music and animations were top notch.
Godammit. I was so excited to check this out when I saw the PV and couldn't believe no one was talking about it. The first episode was great, wish it could be longer. Second season is always a possibility later on but if they adapt too much because they think it'll only ever get one season then what
the hype is palpable
And then the Bump of Chicken song in the end, oh my god I'm dead
It's not even that, most of that is easily solvable just by having a slightly different tone and lines, with no need for added scenes.
It just feel they intentionally blanded it down for some reason.
Take pic related.
I don't know if it would have taken more than what they used to say this, but it creates much better a sense of an hostile and dangerous word.
As for Chain/Zapp it would have literally been just about harsher lines and a more sarcastic, mocking tone.
But yeah, nonetheless it was pretty good.
The way I see it: he isn't quite human (hence weird looking ears) and he probably wears those gay looking glasses to hide himself or something
too bad he doesn't play a role again until the 8th volume ;_;
it will be cool seeing him announcing the previews though
oh shit, now I see it.
Yeah, either >>123578944
for the second, you've gotta put your finger on the screen in front of the hat and try to see just his face. Then it becomes clear.
nah, man, it's more like the two dots are his nostrils, his eyes are smiling and they are closed forming a seemingly uni-eye or unibrow and the two eyebrows (Leo's eyes)/nostrils are his mustache
Okay, this is getting kind of crazy
...at this point I think that it makes no fucking sense, there's actually no fucking face there- and the joke is, the deceased dude had Leo's same fucking face, but flipped
I couldn't get through the first episode. It's so ridiculously over the top I couldn't imagine how anyone could live in that new york. I didn't care about the characters and the setting seemed to insane for me to suspend disbelief
>I couldn't imagine how anyone could live in that new york.
>monsters and squecky shit at every corner
>power armor nazi cops
I wanna go Jeru-salem's lot land
what consistency, I don't get it. It's a criminal city with different monsters in it. Most of them are very neutral, a monster like in the first episode is pretty rare.
Of course humans won't be acting like humans from our world, it's a Sci-Fi series after all. You can go through every single relatively over the top Sci Fi out there and you'll find the same illogical behavior in the society if it were OUR society from nowadays. Same way people from ancient ages wouldn't ever imagine living like we do nowadays. You get used to it.
tfw in the middle of digital age year of our Lord RNG-Lainsus 2015.03, there is people like this
Actually I was thinking of the BUGrger. I've been told that insects and scorpions are a delic
No, not that burger. This burger.
> putting potato salad on your alien bugs
>Blood Blockade Battlefront discussion
>Turns out it got an anime adaptation.
Well. Better than nothing, I guess. No fucking clue this was in the works either.
>Mayo on burger
your kind should be neutered
Well... if it takes liberally from the original comic, the one where Klaus was the main character and Jerusalem's Lot didn't exist?
At the very least, Klaus is some sort of tamed super-vampire, and Chain is a werewolf. Plus you can see in the opening part that there's like... a gillman and a hulk-thing that are part of the team as well.
Lastly, I'd like to thank Based Nightow. Your obsession with US comics and culture has produced something wonderful.
Oh snap, that is delicious looking. Bacon, bbq, onions, tomato, swiss and the lettuce underneath to keep the grease from sogging up the bread. No wonder that diner went right back into business. The man knows how to make food.
