>That fucking OST
The only good thing to came out of the anime. Torpedo Soul (M7) is so addicting. I don't even remember that much music from the show. Also pretty stellar presentation for a soundtrack. Seems like they actually care for once.
Rather than try to port the game to the west.
Kadokawa should do what Actas did and do a joint marketing agreement with Wargaming and just put the cute voices and use the girls images as mascots in World of Warships.
Fuck this anime, season 2 will be shit too.
Fairly similar. Here's a thread with the last update in terms of news from the vita general on /vg/.
I will post this occasionally until you like her.
New Level 1 Zuikaku
Scans of comiket doujins never.
Too much information, Anon.
Say what niggah?
They might as well have not even shown him, just an omnipotent boogie man that everybody knows about and occasionally hear about, just like base commanders usually are.
But isn't TTK pretty involved with the Shipgirls in the game(s)? No idea how they'll handle it in the vita game, but I imagine something similar since they do at least interact with the Admiral and such.
>Countless shoppers, commuters and students walked on the road along the seawall. Almost all of them waved to the shipgirls, their eyes glowing with familiarity. Among them were elementary schoolers and preschoolers, raucously cheering the shipgirls on with shouts of "Shipgirl Onee-sans, good luck!", "Don't lose to the Abyssals" and the like.
Depends on the medium, which is made difficult by the fact that all mediums (official ones in particular) treat things differently.
The LNs have the presence of several admirals (mostly one per base) and other miscellaneous human characters, probably because books require proper world building to have any traction.
Mangas usually don't have that obligation, so a lot of them refer to very few human characters.
Then we have the anime, which takes it to one extreme by showing zero humans.
Luckily for them, it's a alternate universe they are in. In our world, poor Kriegsmarine girls have to put up with scumbag liberals screaming Nazi all the time, while the IJN girls are completely restricted in their Pacific operations, because China and the rest of Asia are busy being buttmad about WW2 still.
It'd be great, but I just don't see them doing it unless something big changes in the game/series and it's world. As much as I'd love it to happen, they'd need some wonky justification to doing so.
What's that trope called when the enemy assimilates or otherwise takes control of a friend and they become an enemy? Whatever it's called, I love it.
Not a fan of the whole "I know you're in there" line and the like because it's always so cheesy.
In fairness the Japanese were kind of dicks. I mean they did a lot of nasty stuff.
Wouldn't really call Locutus of Borg corruption. Isn't Corruption more of a fetish thing?
Sadly things don't seem too good on their end. If only the developers knew how much some people would give in order to be able to something for the abyss.
The more they decide to ignore the anime in the canon the better
The only thing that I hate about that is when they imply that the person can't achieve happiness if she doesn't return to her former self.
Hopefully with the cutest DD as MC this time as the main character.
Would /a/ prefer Kiyo or Bucky returning as MC?
>The more they decide to ignore the anime in the canon the better
It's usually just a 12-13 episode commercial for a series in general, so I think they would after seeing how a good number of the fans disliked it quite a bit.
At this point, anyone other than Fuckbucky
I can support this as long as there is a lot of Shiranui
Almost as good as Kiyo.
But it would be adorable to have a DD chasing around battleships instead of carriers around.
It is a fun thought exercise to consider the geopolitical impact of an Abyssal threat in a real world situation.
The world economy would be severely impacted due to cut-off sea leans, and there are going to be a couple countries that would suffer severely due to not having cannon-firing boats during WWII. Most countries would need to radically adjust their industrial distribution.
How would diplomacy work then is so much fun to think about. Wish one of the LNs would venture out into that direction.
At anyrate the tag Dark Persona with Kantai Collection are what you want if you want to poke around Danbooru
>Wo-chan didn't get even a single wokyuu in the anime
The girls clearly got their hands on
Why so much Yamato hate in here?
She's probably the only non-dyke in the entire anime.
I'd prefer Yamato with smaller breasts
Kiyo would probably prefer Yamato and Musashi but Kongous are great.
In the absence of men in the series, and the only thing we know for sure is shipgirls...
Translators being lazy aside, I don't think men are ever mentioned or even referenced in the anime.
Men threaten their audience, so of course they won't include one/them. Just like the TTK position in the series, they're too afraid of giving him an official face in fear of a backlash from it. But that idolshit can do it fine and people are mostly okay with it, which basically proves it's just how you fucking do it. But looking at season 1, I don't think they can.
Nor do I want this season two.
China doesn't have shipgirls, so they can do literally jack shit about the abyssals, since their conventional navy is mainly subs.
Korea and Taiwan actually might have a few former US shipgirls.
What are your expectations for season 2?
Yayoi was already in S1, what does it matter.
Yeah China sure as hell didn't give a shit when they let a hive land on Earth in MAL. Look where that got them, too. If the map from the Vita is after abyssals came long and it wasn't like that before, it got them flooded and Korea destroyed.
Difference is the world is down to a third of its population after 40 years of war with the BETA and most of the entirety of Eurasia (Europe + Asia) are completely inhabited by the BETA.
With the Abyssals we know nothing of their effects on the population.
Then I will take by force, prepare your anus Kaga-san
I don't have any, I just want my shipfu to be animated so I she'll get more fan art. If Ducky showed up as the turkey's overprotective bodyguard it'd be nice, too.
It's implied that Abyssal ground forces can be defeated without shipgirls in Zuikaku LN, so most likely China figures it's fine. Plus now it can bully most of its neighbors that used to have help from the US (South Korea, Vietnam, India).
>we know nothing of their effects on the population.
They do attack civilian areas.
It's a pity Yahagi wasn't around to be Yamato's bodyguard like in the Suzuya and Kumano manga.
Toothbrushing scene with Wo.
you weren't gonna buy anything anyway you filthy secondary
Why would I buy the anime? The first and second PV were enough of a warning signal of how it was going to be, especially when they kept dodging the question about having an Admiral in general featured.
Also, if you're considering yourself a primary for buying the anime, you might want to rethink a few things in general.
Well since the Admiral is meant to be "you"...
Idolmaster having an official face to the Producer I think is still lazy. They should've just kept it ambigious so it could be whoever you wanted.
Instead it just feels like a harem series now because playing the game gets all the girls wanting his freaking dick.
Most of Eurasia probably isn't affected that badly, really. You're going to get severe economic problems in the short-term and everyday citizens are going to have to lose most of their luxuries and deal with rationing, but I doubt we're looking at mass cataclysmic global breakdown.
I guess we can turn to Arpeggio to get a somewhat better picture what would happen if the Abyssal fleet really did show up. The only difference between the two is communications aren't knocked out in Kancolle, and they have to deal with invasions of their coastlines.
>and do a joint marketing agreement with Wargaming and just put the cute voices and use the girls images as mascots in World of Warships
>shitty arcades with HP and without normal physics
>Idolmaster having an official face to the Producer I think is still lazy. They should've just kept it ambigious so it could be whoever you wanted.
So it's lazy that they decided to give a face, voice, background to a character? That's more like sticking your neck out and waiting for a reaction to it.
>Feels like a Harem
How? None of them are chasing his dick. You're not even watching this shit, are you?
Then let Russia deal with China's protection or try to build international task forces to elevate some paranoia.
I just can't see the world powers purposefully fucking with their main force to such an amount because of some nations still being butthurt about the past when the whole world gets fucked by ship monsters in the meantime.
Why do Ise and Hyuuga never seem to get any love? Look at Ise!
Well, the world in Arpeggio is a lot more complex, since the Fog aren't a monolithic entity. Iona defecting, Papa Gunzou pushing his own line and nearly all of the fog ships having their own agendas and personality quirks makes it hard to tell how much of the global situation is from the fog's blockade and how much comes from active interference. The only thing that's really been clear is that Japan and Britain have huge resource shortages as island nations, and that's already been stated to have been ameliorated by shipgirls in the kancolle LNs..
