Not insane, but scarred, traumatized, etc.
Later in the game it becomes VERY apparent, his survivors guilt, post-traumatic stress, poor self-esteem. Once you see that behavior, a lot of his earlier actions and words make a lot more sense in hindsight.
Was Archer happy for touching Rin all the time? I would be happy.
tfw this artist draws a shit ton of Lancer x Archer
>tfw we will never see his based life
This is great, though I feel Taiga should have had more than a single background appearance
We already know he is, but not really the usual type of crazy; not the "Lol I love destruction", or the self harming sort per say. Not any of the types of crazy you see in anime mostly.
Just mostly warped
Has very little sense of self and denies his own existence, is used to seeing death, doesn't mind throwing his life away to save people, has a strong ego which is in contrast with his denial of self, just whatever else.
Someone who has thrown away his soul in exchange for ideals that aren't his own because he thought it would make him happy at the time due to imprinting upon Kiritsugu when he died in the fire and came back to life at the verge of death. All he can become are those ideals, because its all he has in a sense, its what his new self is entirely based upon.
Two routes are about breaking him down and rebuilding him in different ways. One path makes him human again, and the other path makes him a more manageable type of hero.
He eventually found something
Understand the difference
There's a deep contradiction at the core of his nature that would eventually lead him to ruin if he doesn't realize it before he goes off to be a hero.
I'm pretty sure he has a strong sense of self though, it's just his self is a barren wasteland of swords.
Dosen't Mahoyo actually have a character who kind of lacks a sense of self? And that makes him like, the strongest human ever or something cause it puts him closer to Gaia. He tanks Beowulf.
Is this Mahōtsukai no Yoru? I haven't looked into it for whatever reason, but if that's it, it looks slick as fuck.
what? what the fucking deal then? Why don't people talk about this and considering it's TM, how the fuck is there not a translation yet?
I also heard it bombed, according to /a/?
what the fuck happened?
>Why don't people talk about this and considering it's TM, how the fuck is there not a translation yet?
Not translated, so people don't talk about it
>I also heard it bombed, according to /a/?
That's just people saying things
That face is when he remembers a terrible sin
What's your favorite track on the OST?
I love this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oJDruxCOvpw&index=49&list=PLsMRrJWUFu1owM9SoIqfFOocGwYByNI_S
It's the perfect bittersweet ending song. It makes me think about dying happy or something like that. I love those synths.
Q: When and where did Archer (Emiya Shirou) acquire his red overcoat (the holy shroud)? Or, was the shroud he used in Sakura’s route an original one?
A: When he began working as a freelance magus in his twenties, he received it from a certain curry-loving member of the clergy... now that would make a nice story, it would.
Nasu made this up on the spot and it isn't factual canon but a 'that'd be neat if it happened' sort of thing.
and it isn't factual canon
How to spot something stupid immediately
He's the one that writes the universe, if he says something happened even if he decided it suddenly, it happened. It is entirely factually canon even if you don't like it.
Shirou was in the middle of a mage war and Kirisu explained what happened on that day.
You know it's like with Natalia from Resident Evil Revelations 2. Some people just don't get fazed because some people are not emotional shitbags that let emotions control them like chimps do.
He was a pile of serious mental issues/trauma's which while bad could have been handled better if Kerry got him psychiatric help when he noticed how 'off' Shirou seems at times. Instead Kerry got the genius idea to do jack shit up untill he was about to die then dropped his ideals on the kids lap.
did you actually play the fucking game? just because he was in a disaster zone as a child and saw numerous bodies as a child doesn't mean he should be used to seeing them. You realize that he doesn't actually see any dead bodies in the Fate route, right? even in UBW the only actual dead body he's sees is Illya's post Gilgamesh.
There's a very significant difference in that those guys are adults as well as specifically trained to deal with these types of situations. It would take months if not years of specific training to get a well adjusted person to have little to no emotional reaction to a school full of apparently dead children that also happen to be close acquaintances.
When that new Visual Novel maker program comes out on Steam I'm going to make a short game with Taiga and a game where Saber gets cucked.
expect it, /a/.
Have you been to places like Detroit, Haiti, or Africoon?
The people there are used to dead bodies and they're not soldiers or had special training. Hell, kids are used to it there.
At the beginning of Mahoyo, he was the strongest because he was a weapon honed for the sole purpose of killing. However, as the story progresses, he gradually grows weaker because he gains a whole bunch of unnecessary shit.
It's like how Shiki suddenly becomes the best killer ever when he shuts everything off and dedicates his entire body and mind to killing something. Soujuurou is the opposite of that.
well-adjusted is the key word. Of course a person growing up and living with violence constantly surrounding them is going to be use it, but I dare you to find a psychologist that would qualify that sort of attitude as anything other than an indicator of severe trauma. You're also confusing general violence with a straight up massacre. There's a difference between being used to dead bodies and being used to hundreds of (apparently)dead bodies including your family, closest friends, and acquaintances.
He goes for the pussy and loses his gains.
I'll try. What would you like to see if I actually did? I'm a college student and like most of /a/ I probably have ADD and have issues with follow-through and laziness. If I were to do something, it'd be fairly short. I'm not autistic and/or dedicated enough to do a full route, though it would be cool to write an additional route for F/SN following the same structure as the others.
I'm buying the program to dick around with regardless, so if you guys have any ideas speak up.
The Taiga army needs to unite on this.
>It's like how Shiki suddenly becomes the best killer ever when he shuts everything off and dedicates his entire body and mind to killing something. Soujuurou is the opposite of that.
That's not actually correct. The VN tells you that Shiki stopped training for years and even got brainwashed which locks his abilities. He is considerably weaker than his past self just like Soujuurou.
