I'm glad we're having this thread because it saves me the effort of making one myself.

I've just finished watching the second season which I've been putting off since about it finished airing and obviously having spent so much time on /a/ spoilers were unavoidable, but I tried my best to evade them. I had a rough idea on what was going to happen, but was still wholly unprepared for how absolutely shitty the ending was. I mean it was really fucking bad, worst of all you lied to me /a/, you all kept saying kirino wins, but in reality nobody won.

NOBODY FUCKING WON.

Everybody lost, sure there's Kyousuke who lost the worst and there's Kirino who lost so little it barely registers, but all things considered everybody still lost. At this point I reallly can't decide if I'm mad because the series got me emotionally invested or because it was just offensively stupid. I mean holy shit in hindsight pretty much everything was pointless, Jesus Tapdancing Erogeplaying Christ what was the purpose of all this shit.

Does anyone else think Kyousuke should have got together with her? I'm not denying her character development, I'm just saying I don't think she knew Kirino was actually in love with Kyousuke, at least before the second half of the series. If she did, she would have acted differently. However given their closeness she no doubt knew to some degree about how Kirino felt, perhaps interpreting it as Kirino being jealous/unacknowledged by her sibling.

I also think that pic related shouldn't -necessarily- be considered Ayase's words, since Fushimi used the characters in these extras as his 'voice' to express things the anime failed to convey, like all kinds of foreshadowings. He even practically admits it in one of the early commentaries, where Saori acts totally out of character and then she admits that since these are just extras, it's not really canon.

Too much to list. Lots of Kirino dere moments, literally truckloads of foreshadowing, ALL of Kyousuke's character development, and many critical plot threads about Manami and their backstory that helps explain how things came to be.

The sum of all of it missing means the siblings seem less suitable for each other in the end. You don't get to see their feelings for each other develop, you don't get to see why they developed, and you don't get to know exactly why they choose to pursue a relationship. And aside from the changes to the ending on the surface, when you lose all this it makes it harder to understand the significance of the ending.

There's other smaller things too, like Ayase falling in love with Kyousuke or Kuroneko being simplified as a character in order to better ship her with Kyousuke.
