They had a version of Emiya there right? I think the movie version was worse than Kawai's other one, though.
I'm guessing they'll play Emiya too. They've been building it up with Archer's theme in the show using the first minute or so, but never getting to the main part. They'll probably save it just for that.
Jackie Chan vs People who want trouber
>ufotable will animate this soon
>UFOTABLE WILL ANIMATE THIS SOON
Just thinking about it makes me uncontrollably hyped. I don't think I've ever been as excited for something in my life. This and:
> I've found my answer. It's fine, Tohsaka. I'll do my best from now on as well.
It can't come sooner.
Oh yeah it's definitely a fight that will be remembered. There hasn't been one like it before or since.
Type Moon are great.
Probably not. I'm more worried about "Arata no Yoake" - just hearing it makes me tear up.
Far and away the best anime fight. Thematically complex, narratively grey, and some of the best animation from a TV series ever.
Lancer vs Saber (all of them) and Kotomine vs Kirei before the retarded knife are amazing. Saber vs Lancelot is good too.
yeah sorry I meant the final fight
Precure has a lot of great fights.
this thing is getting posted so many times it's only a matter of time before this thing will be a site logo.
Why do some of you think the Archer/Shirou fight is amazing?
Personally I liked Shirou vs Gilgamesh fight better even if it's quite bullshitty
It's the climax of the route and the culmination of both their characters. Shirou reaches his answer in that fight.
Shirou vs Gilgamesh is mostly just an application of that answer.
>that edgy claw shit
So how hard is Ufotable gonna fuck up Shirou vs Archer?
DEEN probably poured the most amount of their budget into this fight, and they still fucked it up.
That fight was ass, though
Seriously, there are a million better fights, both in relevance, atmosphere, and animation
SotS final fight
GitS tank scene
Kotona vs the giant in the HnU OVA
Zeta Gundam vs O Movie version
Jojo vs Dio OVA version
and on and on
That fight was average at best.
90% of zero is still zero
Nurutu is shit, but they do get talented freelancers once in a full moon
had to go frame by frame just to see how he dodged the third swing from when they were on the ocean floor because it looked like Sabi swung at the air. Turns out that shichika twists to the side right at the start of the swing
Who did, then?
No, I mean, I admit he wasn't the main guy for Negima. At least the scene I mentioned; he may have actually done something for the Bosphorus guy battle, I am not sure.

Tiny step down, eh? Maybe just a little?
Fuck, where did yutapon go?
In all honesty that isn't half bad animated
No, newfag. Do your own research.
You obviously haven't seen the things I mentioned. Shinbo is obviously the main creative force behind them, no matter how much time I spend redownloading the episodes to check who did the key animation.
All of them
There's a difference between being the "creative force" and the animator. A show with one director can have wildly varying action scenes based on the animator selection. Look
Whoops, shot my wad too early
Same show, same director, same "creative force."
Completely different looking.
That's the difference caused by key animators. Sakuga animators are by far the biggest impact on how an action scene looks. Sometimes directors don't ever do the storyboards, and let the animators improvise, a la Space Dandy Ep. 1
I know, yet the scenes I noted all carry a stamp "this was done by Shinbo". Thus I mention him, not whoever the animators were.
Heck, the scenes in Mou Hitotsu no Sekai alone were all over the place. No need to give me examples.
You know I'm right
>I know, yet the scenes I noted all carry a stamp "this was done by Shinbo".
How? Shinbou's work is usually as a director, so his influence shows more in cinematography, editing, and cuts than in animation. Could you have been mistaking that? Perhaps the scenes DO share an animator, but it's not Shinbou.
Shinbou has dreadfully little famous stuff to his name as a key animator. He became famous as an AD and a storyboarder, and it shows. His calling cards include fish eye views, super close ups, extremely varied palettes, unconventional photograph textures, rapid cutting, and constant 4th wall breaking. Those aren't animation related.
Directors rarely animate their own shows, though they might have a supply of loyal animators that give their shows a signature style. Imaishi often does his own animation, and Yoshinari Yoh is a good friend of his who often ADs and does Sakuga for him. Yutapon and Kameda at bones, Matsumoto and Yamashita for Nurutu, Hosoda has Ryosuke Sawa.
Some directors didn't even start out as animators, and know little about animation. Watanabe is a famous case, he more often is involved in sound production and scriptwriting than the visual element, handing it to the ADs and even the key animators themselves, hence that SD situation.
Use your fucking brain
>Not even the Best at shounen fights, much less GOAT
back to /r/anime with you
God damn it, I didn't say "this was animated by Shinbo". Cinematography and choreography Shinbo does influence, and these are often two of the main elements I seek for in a battle sequence. Of course, the animation itself needs to be good, too, but not everything can be GitS.
luffy vs that haki guy with acceleration fruit
from that special chapter of 3D2Y.
yes, "movie" is kinda weird, boring and pointless, only good parts being hancock cameo, but the fight scenes do not dissapoint
specially the last fight, surprisingly amazing and full of sakuga, probably the best animated fight in all of one piece, and that includes the movies.
it baffles me how much budget was put into that fight and we are quite probably going to be a QUALITY MESS with the doflamingo fight.
All I could think about during that scene was "holy shit is that Batman's basement?"

Came to post this. Ufotable's UBW still hasn't beat it and probably won't.
The thing that made Archer vs Lancer so intense was that it was the first fight of the series so you don't really know what to expect.
The rest of the fights were flashy and done pretty well, but they don't live up to the hype that Ilya vs Saber Alter felt.
