Also I don't like reading on a computer screen. When I'm in Japan later this year, I might get some physical LNs too.

Well aside from Haruhi, years and years ago, this is the only LN I've ever read. I can enjoy them but I still prefer anime and manga, not because I don't like reading; in fact it's because I do like reading. It seems to me that, like any other series in any other form of media, they can have good ideas, characters, story, development and all, or not, that but what trips them up is that they're badly written. You can have one with all the aforementioned good points but it can be wasted because it's supposed to be 'light novels'.

That's what I found with Gekkou; liked it but it would have been better as an actual novel, if you get my meaning. One that can make full use of length, language and all the rest of it and doesn't hamstring itself. It's a problem I don't see in anime or manga, they're free to be as good as their medium can possibly be. Manga can have beautiful art and great dialog mixed and coupled together, supporting eachother, stuff like that; and of course like any other story it can excel in plot and all that good stuff. I just always end up feeling that light novels are just trivialised novels.

I think LNs are kind of an acquired taste. First time I tried to get into a series I had a hard time making it through even one volume. Later picked up something else I was interested in and marathonned ten of them in pretty quick succession. It's not exactly well written but a good LN can have the feel of literary cotton candy. It's not substantial or sophisticated but it can be fun in its own way.

Well it's not like you have to hate something because it is of low quality, or like something because it is of high quality. Sometimes things are enjoyable even if they are not particularly good by any real objective measure. Hell, sometimes we actually want something superficial and easy, and don't want to deal with anything particularly heavy at the moment. For those times there are LNs, or shows like the ones you described.

2.54 TB in 7,321 files (subtracting the 3,796 icon files I have extracted so my auto-sorting script can try to find them a bit easier when it has to make a new folder) is an average of 347 MB per episode, man. Pretty much everything in there besides the icons is just the episodes organized into series/season folders.

Though I do prefer 720p BD rips when available, but most of that shit is just TV encodes I backlogged hella days back and never bothered to watch. 1080p encodes I tend to avoid unless I'm sure I'm going to watch it right away since I don't like the thought of letting it sit there taking up space for months or years before I get around to it.

I wish Psycome got an adaptation, it's fucking fun.
And Hyouka was updated today, fuck yeah.
