Some huge crisis that might have repercusions on the 'real' world is looming, so Natsume (who knows of it) takes Hono-kyun and heads for the center of the city. Kazane knows as well, so she "asks" Chronoir to go in and investigate Kasumi's World, and 3Black6 very reluctantly agrees. There's something I didn't get without the chapter itself about how they enter/use Chronoir's "Noose" barrier (the aquarium thing) because "time flows differently in there", and because 1-day in Kasumi's World is only a few hours in real-world time (so time flows differently in there too.

In next month's chapter, the middle-piece of the Kasumi's World Arc, the main character and focus will be Mama-san KOMACHI! ((answers at last, I hope)).


TanuTanu's been turned into a 'machine that praises and compliments older brother-little sister relationships.

So yeah, sounds like we're (maybe) finally getting back on track for magic, mayhem, and plot.

From the author's notes a long time ago, The "aquarium barrier" is a localised AOE buff that sets up 3B6 in giving her minor reality bending powers while inside the field. Note that the only time she used the dangerous time-magic was when she was in that field, she probably wouldn't have ever dared to try otherwise. And as a part of the author's notes, the use of the barrier consumes the use of a very expensive gemstone. And that is why 3B6 is reluctant to use it unless she really had to. She used it exactly twice until now, once against Ayaka on the bus and once against Weekend. 3B6 is probably annoyed that Weekend was so weak it probably wasn't worth the financial costs of using up a gem.

Natsume is an interesting addition. She is effectively a new faction for the purpose of the story. And I do like that 3B6 has been re-introduced. The fact that she was reluctant to help suggest that she didn't see Honoka's disappearance as a serious problem; logically you would think she might have been worried if Honoka vanished and is never seen again, as her plans would have fallen apart. I guess that might be another reason why she did end up helping, in that even though she is happy to wait passively, she at least need Honoka to stay safe and sound until the seals break.

Keep in mind that Kazane is older than the Workshop, and as such really doesn't respect their rules. I mean she has effectively hired 3B6, a Tower Witch (and an old friend of hers), to investigate Kasumi, is almost certainly a break of protocol.

Kasumi's World is full of luxurious deserts, bears and bear imagery everywhere (sort of like Hono-kyun's penguin town after the contract), allows open hand-holding lewdness where no one cares how doting onii-chan's are (and they are here), has their shoe lockers together and their together alone at the front of their shared classs, etc.

Kasumi's world turns against her? The reader who posted his blog/thoughts commented it was the first time we've seen Honoka actually get angry at Kasumi, and that he thought they had a much more natural brother/sister feel without Ayaka around. At least Kasumi isn't alone in her cell (being Tanutanu is suffering)

Well yeah. It seems Kasumi created a pocket universe. And clearly if you are insider a universe when it is destroyed, you die with it. Kasumi doesn't seem to understand how her creation truly worked, so that is a warning sign that she probably doesn't know how to sustain it very long.

Well, you can't just take what Kasumi has done lightly. Whether she meant well or not, she may have used some sort of forbidden or restricted magic in order to get her pocket dimension happening, not to mention dragged a few people unwillingly, not just Honoka. On top of that, she brainwashed him. He's bound to be pissed, even if he usually lets her get away with murder.

Kasumi's schemes and her obsession with her brother are getting way out of hand. On top of this, a crisis seems to be developing in the regular world, possibly caused by her or her actions.

Kazane may not give a damn, but I can see Ayaka getting reaaally pissed with her sister-in-law.

And if mama Komachi is getting involved next week, that can only be a Bad Thing for Kasumi-chan.

Anyone else gets the feeling that, despite her denials, Natsume may actually be lusting for the HonokaD? I mean, sure, her mom put her on this course of action, but maybe she's either brainwashed enough or emotionally taken back by Honoka to now be willing to be near him at all costs. Of course, she can't just come out and say it since she knows Ayaka would incinerate her in a matter of seconds, so maybe she's just biding her time?

I don't think so myself. We already know Natsume has, to a lesser degree, to her Uncle Mikage-sensei what Kasumi has towards Honoka. I think everything she does towards him is because she wants to help and/or please her uncle.

I thought so initially until I heard the actual story from Mama Shiori. She's been brainwashing them both over the years, not just Mikage-sensei.

I suspect what she feels for her uncle is not an uncle complex but more of a shared victim's respect. She knows he's emotionally damaged thanks to what her mom did and is trying to make amends for it.

But really, if you look at her entire behavior and how willing she was to go along with her mom's twisted antics at the coffee shop, and then couple it with her obsessive need to tail Honoka (Ayaka is confirmed to be an incidental target since she was there with Honoka when he got pulled somehow), so maybe it's more than just duty that keeps her around?

So, a couple of interesting new spoilers.

1-Apparently, although Mama-san is in Kasumi's World, she's still not around in the house because "the Takamiya-sans' dad came home from where he usually is, a job posting overseas, and he and Komachi are on a new/late-life honeymoon".

2-Natsume helped Kasumi create her world-spell. (And apparently loves melon bread, since her lunch with the Takamiya-siblings is 5 loaves of it).

At this point we can basically say Kazane has zero respect for the Workshop and basically ignore Tower/Workshop segregation. And Germany can do nothing about it.

There's no way another seal isn't going before this arc is over. Also, it's the first arc since weekend to feature a "chapter title: part 1, part 2..." etc. This seems to be something Mizunagi does with important arcs. If Medusa shows up, then all 3 of the End Witches who want the white stuff will be along in Kasumi's world with Honoka, with NO Ayaka (yet). But Komachi IS there, and next chapter's supposed to focus on here as the main.

I doubt they want to alert Germany HQ that one of her city guardian (apprentice) witches has done something unbelievably criminal, so the best course of action is to use another criminal to make contact instead.
