Anyone have images like this with Characters drawn by different mangaka?
I enjoy JoJo, does that made me a faggot?
>no Kingdom reference despite Guinness World Record
>Losing your reason because someone dosen't like what you like.
>they're /a/ bronys
They are worse, bronys probably know they like a shitty show at this point, but JoJo fans will take any form of criticism and call it bait
Don't like predictable story? Bait
The ugly art style? Bait
The unoriginal and repetitive characters? Bait
The fucked up anatomy and posing? Bait
Did Namori like Akuma no Riddle?
>Luffy almost look the same.
Always hated that about Naruto and One-Piece styles. Unless they go out of their way like "I'm gonna make this guy with Popeye arms and robot that runs off of soda." or "I'm gonna make an albino ninja" you could put their "average/normal" looking characters in each other series and you wouldn't be able to tell the difference.
It would probably look like Fairy Tail.
Even though I don't like Noel, she looks great here
5 is the Sket Dance mangaka, and 13 is Kishimoto.
Not really. It's just that his characters are bland.
Zun should hire her
I believe it's the most mangaka working on a single manga. Each panel was drawn by a different person.
Also, while slightly unrelated, the week that signified the 25th anniversary of Kochikame had every mangaka draw Ryotsu in their series.
Pretty sure this was drawn by the Ichigo 100% mangaka.
How many of these series are still ticking, anyway?
And this one was done by Tosh. I know he's the artist of Soma, but I can't read his name without thinking of the unfunny comedian. Or the Looney Tunes chipmunk.
>implying you know where part 8 is heading
I like the artstyle, even the sameface, cause it's a good face.
The only unoriginal character is Jotaro, but nobody likes him anyway.
And Jojo wouldn't be Jojo without the fucked up anatomy and posing.
Artists draw other copyrights?
I have a few drawings from Mizukami Satoshi's pixiv.
>Beating someone up because they hurt your feels on a japanese animation board
Some people just draw very well. Still, Murata is not without his drawbacks. As others have noticed, he really can't get into panel composition like ONE and similar writers (preferring a more action-y style), and he can't write for shit.
Starting to run out of original stuff. If all else fails, this might just turn into a crossover thread.
It doesn't really count since Umetsu directed the opening for Madoka.
>>I like the artstyle, even the sameface, cause it's a good face.
But Gon is not a food-based pun.
Bleach isn't as popular. As for Hunter x Hunter, when has it been out of hiatus during its anniversary?
I don't know why, but I never could get past the artstyle of Danganronpa. It just feels so...generic, in a way.
>yfw there will never ever be as good an action artist as Murata
Their faces are indeed shovel-faced. It also seems like their poses are half-assed all the time.
At least try to be Japanese-related. We don't want to see your Steven U/Ed Edd n Eddy porn, dammit.
A Rebecca Sugar character walks into a bar.
The bartender asks, "Why the long face?"
Really cute Sangatsu no Lion illustration by Miura.
Nope. The Kids Next Door guy is a One Piece fan. Appeared in a US Shonen Jump issue.
Probably has something to do with, yeah. The whole thing seems to be one artistic mishap over another.
Do you ever just wonder if Miura just wants to quit Berserk, and make a happier manga?
I'm not saying he should. He just seems so done with it.
>Shonen Jump is Japanese, long-running, big, thick WEEKLY, black and white magazine that's chock full of the hottest manga series. There are lots like it, but Shonen Jump is really THE creme de la awesome. I first picked up a copy in Japan years and years ago but my Japanese wasn't quite rockin' enough to read it properly. But then a bunch of years back they started releasing it here in the States in a monthly format so I grabbed it!
>Anyway... Naruto was definitely my favorite for a long time. Shaman King was another sooper giant favorite and I was kinda bummed when they stopped running it (please disregard the American version of cartoon-- they totally changed it from what the manga is!). Sand Land, by the creator of Dragonball Z, which also ran, was cool. The Yu-Gi-Oh stuff was kinda silly... and I'll never get why anyone likes Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo. I tried. I really did. They jumped right into the middle of Bleach, so it took a little while to understand what was going on-- but now I really like it.
>One of the things I really love that Mr. Oda does better than anyone is group shots.
He takes the characters and puts them into these great situations that tell a fun story without words being neccessary. If you get a chance, find his Color Walk books.
He knows his shit.
He knew what he was getting into. If he wanted to do that, he'd draw a chapter where Guts kills Griffith, fucks Casca back to sanity, and then goes back to Idolmaster.
One Piece fanart by Boulet, a French cartoonist. Google him.
Golgo got a tribute by 51 prominent artists.
It was shitty post-Trigger leaving Gainax.
You mean Raoh, right? I don't think Murata drew Baoh.
>The Yu-Gi-Oh stuff was kinda silly
> He knows his shit.
It wasn't any more silly than most of the other series. The manga is great in his approach with the dark games.
You're fucking blind aren't you.
Did someone ask for more Tumblr redraws?
True. At the very least, he had pretty extensive knowledge about One Piece, although his knowledge of other series is questionable (hates Bobobo, but loves Naruto?).
She got titties. That is enough.
Indeed I am. That's Murata for you - every crossover image is a Where's Waldo.
Related, I guess?
You mean why not.
Tumblr has its own style. By which I mean they actively disregard whatever style of the series they're drawing to make their own work seem "different".
Probably. Same guy who drew this, I think?
They've got an alien way of thinking. They're trying to be hipsters with their style, and accentuate parts that are omitted in anime styles.
But it's so fucking bad, aesthetically and proportionally it's just fucking god awful, even a amateur cartoonist would tell you they draw characters unappealing and downright terrible.
I think it's funny that I've seen pretty much every One Piece character have their skin color redrawn EXCEPT Sanji. It's like they all silently agree he's the whitest dude ever.
>mfw when fav manga artist worked under favourite sports manga artist
Pretty much. They want so hard for their style to be so different from other anime styles, it becomes a genre in of itself.
Again, Tumblr. These are the people that scoff at creative criticism.
But anon, it's ableist to draw all of your characters classically good looking. Hardly anyone actually looks lke that, and it is demeaning to women to heap such bodily expectations upon them, also not including POCs.
Despite Japan being an entirely different country with differnet aesthetics, tastes, cultures, and history of racism. But that doesn't matter to tumblr because a bunch of 15 year old girls obviously know better.
Eh, I remember this. An anon even tried to remove the retarded parts and it wasn't even that bad, way to waste your skills tumblrfags.
The thing that gets me though, is that didn't Oda do an interview where he said what nationality each of his characters would be? Like Luffy's Brazillian, Ace is Portuguese, Ussop is black, etc.
>That hover hand
Every fucking time I see that picture
Because fanart is easier to draw than whole chapters?
Here, Luffy is Brazilian and Usopp is black. The other characters are different, obviously, but the artist at least knew that much. Never heard of Ace being Portuguese, though.
I will never understand Tumblr's obsession with red noses.
That looked almost half okay until I scrolled down and saw Serpico and Farnese.
Huh. Wouldn't have guessed.
Of course you do.
Before you ask, yes the artist takes some liberties with the artwork. However, he does at least have some humor in his comics, so he's okay in my book.
>Thread was supposed to be popular artists drawing other copyrights.
>Turns into crossover fanart thread.
We're running out of fanart done by other mangakas. What do you want us to do?
His characters are always floating in space.
>tfw Naruto is canon in One Piece
No, their art styles are completely different.
Maybe the color tones are similar.
I personally like huke more, but I can't see rui copying his style or shit.
Tekken 6, different characters from different artists.
Just because you can't find any other images doesn't mean the thread needs to be flooded with a bunch of completely unrelated /co/ shit.
Lars - Kishimoto
Jin Kazama -CLAMP
Zafina - Mitsumi Inomata
Asuka Kazama and Anna Williams - Mamoru Nagano
Lili - Ito Ogure (Oh! Great)
Kazuya Mishima - Takayuki Yamaguchi
Roger Jr. - Riouji Minagawa.
I think Azuma Aya is doing a good job on WaHH.
I don't know how many people are aware of this but Black Jack had a two-volume manga anthology made by a bunch of different artists called Black Jack Alive.
>toward the terra
Thanks for reminding me that Nobuki made some god-tier portrait illustrations for the remake.
Just posting half-size because they're massive
This is just pixiv fanart but it's always worth posting in this sort of thread.
I want to get into drawing. How long will it take me to go from stick-figure-with-wonky-anatomy-tier to someone like Takeshi Obata? If I could draw like anyone, he's who I would want to be able to draw like.
Those are ads made by Ryoichi Ikegami for the Dune movie when it was released in Japan.
One of the assistants for Vinland Saga likes drawing the characters in Shigeru Mizuki's art style.
Hagio Moto illustrated the covers of the Turn A novelization.
Before Atsushi Kaneko became famous for Bambi and Soil he made a ton of posters and album art covers for punk bands.
He also made a couple great B-movie posters.
Usamaru Furuya drew an illustration of the main characters from Pan's Labyrinth for a magazine with an article about the movie.
An illustration by Takato Yamamoto of the chanson duo Kokusyoku Sumire, which was used for one of their album covers
One of the flyers for the original Litchi Hikari Club play by Suehiro Maruo, he's also made a bunch of album covers for musicians
Apparently Arale Canonically does Age like that. I'm guessing she probably just Begs Senbei for a grown up body. Or senbei just upgrades her to make her appear more like a normal girl.
One of his covers used by Inugami Circus-Dan, a sort of folk/enka metal band
Ooya Chiki's glam music idols from the seventies.
Patlabor fanart by MEMO, the album cover illustrator for Tofubeats.
Illustration by Riyoko Ikeda for the cover of The Alfee's 30th anniversary album. They made some songs for Doraemon, Lensman, and the soundtracks for Figure 17 and Half-Minute Hero.
Yumi Tada is probably only known in the west for Yukikaze but in Japan she also illustrates the covers of The Vampire Diaries.
Eichiiro Oda - Goku
