Of course they have, Kill la Kill is very popular because of the west, Little Witch Academy got it's second movie because of the west and Inferno Cop is also popular in the west. The one thing they tried to make that catered to Japan's tastes,Inou Battle bombed pretty hard so I can see why they are trying to be a gajin studio instead.

Why wouldn't Trigger have money? KLK sold well, and Inou was an adaptation so it didn't hurt the studio financially even if it flopped. Not to mention, Trigger is part of a holding funded by the likes of Good Smile Company.
