And the problem isn't that it's possibly screencapped from a reader -- it's that they're fucking retarded and did it at 2048px when ebooks are mastered at 1080-1440px maximum, so it looks upscaled.

Capped at a proper resolution, digital mag source is awesome because the screentones are flawless, no need for stitches, cleaning, leveling, etc. Here is an example I made at 1400px. I'm not certain if the master resolution went to 1440 or merely 1080. I didn't see any obvious aliasing so I went with 1400px for the example.

I use Infinite Screen to get the resolution I want, and the program even has a feature to "screencap" specific windows, which makes it fairly easy.

Just open as many new documents as there are pages, paste, advance the page, paste, etc. And it leaves all the screencaps with exactly the same dimensions, so you can automate cropping and saving them as well.
