The focus on the next generation made as much sense as Naruto becoming Hokage to me. All he really did was examine how fucked up the village should logically be to harass Naruto even as much as they did in canon, use it to explain a bunch of his problems that are highlighted, then tie that into the probable clan politics that run the place and would run wild with someone as old and tired as the Third was.

But I can sort of undertand the sorting of the teams.
There is the Ino-Shika-Sho and the sensorial-type team.

The third also thought that putting Naruto and Sasuke on the same team would be beneficial, since both lacked a family and could be of use to incentive each other.
Who could've predicted that Sasuke would suffer from such a shitty writing like this, the sorting wasn't that wrong.
It also couldn't be helped that Kakashi was their master, as he was Minato's pupil.
Pink was the left over, since she managed to graduate even without being of use in anything practical. And when she did, Naruto and Sasuke were too broken for her to keep up, but you can't complain at the third for that.

Sasuke has evey reason to reproduce with her, she being an Uzumaki and all. I think their son would be pretty badass.
It would also be interesting to see how that would affect Salada, like being on the shadow of her onii-chan, or him going full DARKNESS like his father, bent over revenge or something. It'd be very interesting seeing her development under that light imo.

But I don't think he can pull it off, even though it would be so in character for Sasuke.
His inability to write anything good aside, the amount of fans that would be rabid over Sasuke's bigamy would be delicious and make this NS reaction seem like a drop in the rain.
It could even be dangerous to his life (or maybe not, I don't reallt know) and he would go full damage control in a week.
