Gowther's wild ride halted.
There's no reason to overcomplicate things.
>there's 3 brothers
>Estarossa is kind but still on the side of the demons
>Zeldoris is always practical and serious
>Meliodas is the most destructive and evil one of them and his personality is nothing more than a mask he was able to create when he fell in love with Liz, his destructive power is instantly recognized by the other members of ten commandments
It's the Anti-Trinity of God just how there are 10 Commandments as Demons.
Estarossa is not Zeldris nor Meliodas.
Zeldris is not Meliodas nor Estarossa.
Meliodas is not Estarossa nor Zeldris.
Yet, all 3 are some other being at once.
Meliodas = ???
Estarossa = ???
Zeldris = ???
Since it's the Anti-Trinity, probably the Demon King.
Goddess Clan tore him in 3 pieces in the last War.
Two of them were sealed away.
Meliodas was kept in this World so the pieces couldn't reunite when sealed away or he somehow managed to escape and the Goddesses allowed his presence under conditions he broke with the events of Danafor/Like being the forced champion of the Goddesses who is guarding the Coffin with his Sword and is supposed to stop anyone from trying to resurrect them.
However, he broke a condition 16 years ago which was falling in love with Liz (Who was probably also an Apostle like Elizabeth), thus the Goddess Clan manipulated some events and destroyed Danafor to set an example, taking everything he loves. His friend, his kingdom, his love.
Now Liz was reborn but Meliodas has enough of playing Lapdog which is why the Goddess Clan tried to use Ban to kill him cause their patience has run out.
Also take note that Meliodas' armor bears the triskelion.
"As Christianity came into the forefront in Ireland before the 5th century, AD, the triskele took on new meaning, as a symbol of the Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, therefore, also a symbol of eternity. Its popularity continues today as a decorative symbol of faith for Christians of Celtic descent around the world."
considering the information we have right now this sounds fairly accurate, i've been calling melodias as the damn demon king probably since the fighting tournament.
it would also explain the sheer assmad that one godess clan person had with melodias when ban accidently'd her with that giant ass horn.
I like this theory.
Nakaba probably played in SMT, so i will not be surprised if things will turn out to be this way.
>it would also explain the sheer assmad that one godess clan person had with melodias when ban accidently'd her with that giant ass horn.
Who says that was a goddess?
Maybe it was the actual demon king speaking through his own horn, demanding Meliodas to be killed as a form of revenge?
That thing looks fucking great.
inb4 they will transform Stonehenge in a huge golem as well
What if the Stonehenge is just the crown on the head of a giant golem beneath the earth? Arthur could pilot it to have a punch out against the monster moving against Camelot.
I hope this sword will eventually return.
Maybe as the weapon of a re-merged fully powered Meliodas? In case the trinity theory is true, anyway.
It seems that other clans did something horrible to demons in the past. They don't seem to be just a mindless killers, they are all smart and just driven by some idea.
Plus birds ain't even afraid of Estarossa while all animals ran the fuck away from transformed demon Dale.
I hope that they will not get killed and eventually form an alliance with Sins to take down the true big bad.
>I hope that they will not get killed and eventually form an alliance with Sins to take down the true big bad.
In best JRPG manner... it's gonna turn out that God is the enemy!
Bear the curse of the great will but don't worry, cause only bearing this curse you can walk the path of the conqueror.
>true big bad.
If there's a true big bad that's not the demon, then I'm betting it's the Goddess clan, can't ever trust heavenly being in a Japanese story.
I hope that he will get some sort of a sacred trasure that changes its size depending on how serious Mel is.
Dagger with blunt blade when he doesn't want to kill, normal sword when he fights against a strong enemy, huge fucking ass two handed sword when he's completely serious.
Well SMT Lucifer ain't that good either.
He wanted an unrestricted freedom and Demi-Fiend achieves it literally by killing the time and creation itself.
YHVH may be a tyrant, but it's because of him the world and life is possible.
That one time when looking it up gives little to no information either.
>Nothing is known about the god from literary sources, and details about his name, his cult or his significance in Celtic religion are unknown.
He was able to destroy at least Kagutsuchi which was a device that directly controlled the flow of time and cycles of creation.
It's impossible to say if he was able to take down the god because SMT universes are convoluted as fuck and outcome of the great battle is simply unknown.
But even his simple data copy in DDS was enough to be a strongest side boss in the entire fucking history of SMT, if not all games.
Either that or he is just a master of deception. Like an incubus.
>Estarossa being an animal magnet straight up gives away he ain't no ultimate villain
Not really. There has been a trend of big bads being completely at peace with nature and the world (while still being capable of massive cruelty).
Jesusfrom Drifters, comes to mind, as does Chakravartin from Asura's Wrath.
There's also that guy from Fairy Tail? Forgot what his name was. Kills everything living around him because of a curse that's powered by his love for life.
Looks like Gowther reflected on his Actions.
He returns the memories of Zeal and Guila and transfers the scene of Dale into them.
>When Merlin uses absolute cancel, he turns so small he is fitting into the palm of her hand.
That really confirms Gowther is a homonculus.
Since homonculus pretty much means "little man".
Oh, yes, nice catch. I knew it had something to do with a little person, but all I could remember about it was that it somehow had a relation to the "dwarf in the flask" from Full Metal Alchemist.
>Mel is unstable and turns into a country-destroying demon if his love interest is badly hurt
>Gowther is an ancient homunculus that was never finished and is unstable because if it, going full mindrape mode sometimes
>Ban has no sense of teamwork and can just get drunk on a mission, using his own power against his comrades
>Escanor seems to be hulking on a daily basis
>Merlin seems to have her own agenda
>Diane acts too rashly and gets hurt badly because of it
>King is the most stable and adequate member of a team but has horrible self-esteem problems
Gowther returns the memories to Guila and Zeal.
Guila shows no hatred or anything but understand his reasoning, saying it's her own fault for drinking the Demon Blood.
Gowther also gives them a Gift.
He transfers the scene with Dale from chapter 57 into them, his last words how he loves his children and so on.
Guila actually thanks Gowther and apparently is showing a little blush.
Gowther x Guila is legit
So who do you think its going to fight each Commandment?
Meliodas VS Zedoris
Meliodas vs Estarossa
Ban vs femban
King vs Octololi
Diane vs Heavy Armor Guy
Escanor vs Rapier Guy
Merlin vs caped girl
3 Misfits vs fraudin or alternatively
gowther and threader vs fraudin
as for the unholy four armed abomination and the unholy multifaced spectre, no clue
isnt that more about Hendricksen as a human though?even if Fraudrin is the weakest among them,he still believed that Gray Blood Hendricksen was at least somewhat more durable than him.
>Hendy travels to the land of druids while trying to make up for all his horrible mistakes
>absorbs the knowledge of his kin, unlocks some druid secrets while trying to free his best friend
>mortally wounded in a battle against Fraudrin but succeeds in freeing Dreyfus
Full spoiler translation.
Why's Mel being so mean to Elizabeth? Doesn't he know that just paves the way for ntr?
>mfw my theory of Elizabeth originally being Estarossa's girlfriend who was ntr'd by Meliodas comes true.
I think he's too far gone to be redeem, his personality is full evil now and I doubt even clearing away the demon blood from his body would help.
>the Knights are already in action
Time for some Round Table action? Nice.
But he wont die, and both will go in a journey. One that fujos will love, playing games and doing bro-stuff.
I'm kinda hoping the two Mel lookalike meet Elizabeth atleast once, I want to know if they know about the reincarnation cycle between Elizabeth and Meliodas.
This would've been possible if Spagetti Knight didn't get fully corrupted, I wonder if there's still some part of the original Dreyfus left in his mind now. Maybe they can use Gowther mind invasion again to weaken the demon and allow the true Dreyfus to regain control temporarily.
>I wonder if there's still some part of the original Dreyfus left in his mind now.
He's still there to a degree.
Random trivia of the day:
What does the historical Dreyfus share with the manga Dreyfus?
Both were apparent traitors working for the other side.
Real Dreyfus was later acquited and proven innocent. Regained his position and honor and even fought for his homeland in WWI.
If Manga Dreyfus is based on this Dreyfus then he too could be freed from Fraudrin and fight alongside humans at some point.
Just throwing that in here.
>he turns so small he is fitting into the palm of her hand.
First macrophilia, now microphilia?
>Real Dreyfus was later acquited and proven innocent. Regained his position and honor and even fought for his homeland in WWI.
Once Faudrin is dealt with he's probably going to help defeat the rest of 10 Commandments
Are you including King in that fight fight? Sounds like a must-see.
As if Threader would die so easily.
He's NnT's conan.
>Muscular dude with flowing long and black hair
>Raised by/from a tribe of wild barbarians
>Tough as fucking nails
He, plus the three stooges, are as of now the most likely human characters to get a powerboost to reach seven sins levels.
>Weinheidt will never have a Tigre-off with Gowther
>Jillian will never compete with Merlin on a catwalk
>Hugo will never have more than one line
I'd trade Simon for any of the other Dawn Roar knights.
I will live one in your memories, little brother.
>If it drops on Tuesday it's already a whole week late
Not really, it would be on real time instead. Remember we get every chapter translated before japanese readers can buy the magazine and read it themselves.
WSJ manga comes out the Thursday before the Monday the magazine hits Japanese shelves. WSM, which Sins is in, comes out on Sunday, and we get the chapter in between the Saturday before and the Tuesday after.
For now I'd like NnT to continue its ride, on equal or improving quality.
Then I'll worry about the next steps.
However, NnT seems to be fairly successful, right? That's a good thing for the future I hope.
>What would you like to see in the next work of Nakaba?
We're probably getting a sequel. http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2015-01-19/the-seven-deadly-sins-manga-1st-of-3-planned-arcs-ends/.83434
After that I'm with you, Three Musketeers would be a killer in his style.
Cause Nakaba is one of the most passionate Mangaka of all time with godly work ethics hailing from the simple fact that he simply loves Manga.
He's one of the few who you can truly say he's doing this not for money but cause he simply loves doing it.Nanatsu no Taizai fulfills the dream he had since being a child, cause he said he always wanted to create a series that people simply have fun with the way he had when reading Dragon Ball.
I said I would never accept Guila when her name was changed, but I eventually did. But, this time I feel like Threader is far superior to Slader. Where did they get the official name from?
With the realization that Zaratras' ability is called Purge (although I'm just guessing on what Purge does, I'm pretty sure it could get rid of Acid), in doesn't make sense to me how Hendricksen was able to use Acid to poison him.
Could it be that Zaratras knew Fraudrin had possessed his brother? And that Dreyfus' life was being held hostage? If that was the case, I could see Fraudrin/Dreyfus tricking Hendricksen into thinking that his Acid would last long enough for them to kill Zaratras, or that they'd be able to occupy his time enough to keep him from using Purge on himself.
But Crunchyroll has changed names before that RHS hasn't. Like Hauser. They did change Hendricksen to Hendrickson (>>121382905), which is just annoying because it fucks up the consistency. I understand updating names, but I guess I just don't like it.
I suppose Threader -> Slader is too huge of a different (something you can't attribute to accent, for instance) so RHS decided to change it so people who bought the figs wouldn't be confused. The others are pretty minior.
Posting the poll.
I bet Threader is going to start dressing Gowther's doll up.
Will she ever go back to life?
>There's a way to bring her back to life, but that would make Ban mortal again
>he does it, obviously
>he becomes a wrinkled old guy
>they live together for the few years Ban has left
>Wanting another King filler when Diane had to share hers with him, Gowther doesn't have one, Merlin doesn't have one, and Escanor isn't even a thing yet
Even though Mel and Ban were joking it would've been a shame. Shoot, Nakaba might even do it.
>"King!! The errand with his life on the line!! What he obtained after bawling his eyes out!!"
>"King: The great naked apron bridegroom training plan!!"
The suffering never ends.
Please let Nakaba draw these for real.
With Threader joining the party, I'm surprised Mel went to Camelot when Zel is lollygagging around Edinburgh. There must be some sort of plot armor preventing Merlin from just teleporting it into the sun, of course.
I wonder how much sway Kodansha USA has in regards to the romanized names? I've heard the official release is pretty inconsistent. Fucking bastards don't give a shit about QA.
>Gowther wants to know about love because he doesn't know why his wood grows big
>Gowther is actually Pinocchio
>Pinocchio was actually a story about puberty, i.e. boys lying when they grow up because feeling ashamed of masturbation
Hah. That really simplifies the problem. I wonder how long it'll take for Gowther to return to action and whether it'll be before or after King returns to the group.
Aldan is the name of Merlin's Sacred Treasure, I'm guessing. Any special significance to the name?
You know what, this makes perfect sense.
I don't think Gowther would give up that easily. He only gave up because he knows he's not a match for Merlin and needed a contingency plan in case Merlin absolutely wrecks him. He's secretly fucked up Diane's mind now.
>diane has her memories returned
>king doesn't realize and runs off with ban
>ban tells king that diane's memories have returned
>king rushes back to Liones to diane
>diane is off in camelot now
will the shota suffering ever end?
Oh, he was sick?
That's good. I read the chapter and started to get worried, this nearly reached Togashi levels of draftsmanship so for a moment I thought something worse had happened.
Hopefully he's recovering well.
What is with the shitty art this chapter? Looks like something Togashi would of drawn. I've really come to expect better from Nakaba
It was at the usual quality up until around page 26 onwards, though a few of the pages before that also had a dip in quality (but not as noticeable).
What can you do? Nakaba's sick, going by the announcement last week.
If he is sick enough that it reduces the quality of his work than maybe he should of taken a break this week. That like claiming that because I was sick I am only going to deposit half of the checks you gave me to deposit
The takobon version will be redrawn regardless. The small dip in quality doesn't affect me that much, not comparable to Togashi's shenanigans at all.
Different people have different expectations anyways. If he doesn't release this week some people will be mad that it's another HxH or Berserk. If he does, well, there's going to be complaints about the quality.
Meliodas - Half Demon
Diane - Giant
Ban - Immortal Human (Undead?)
King - Fairy (Possibly a changeling child?)
Gowther - Homunculus
Merlin - WIZARD (But also, probably, human as a base like Ban.)
Escanor's power seems to be connected with the sun? Elizabeth's already connected with the Goddess Clan, but maybe Escanor has some connection to a solar deity? Possible connection to the Druids?
Gowthers primary way of fighting is to alter peoples memories. When Meliodas arrived at the scene oft the battle between Gowther and Diane, Diane was laying on the ground, suggesting that she was hit by an attack. It couldn't have been a physical attack, because Gowthers physical strength is way too low to cause her any harm, so it's common sense that she was hit by one oft bis mind-altering attacks. That's reason enough to worry about her.
Same reason why Gowther's shenanigans escalated this far. No one cares.
>It couldn't have been a physical attack, because Gowthers physical strength is way too low to cause her any harm
Gowther's arrows actually do have a physical impact, given how one particularly large shot pushed back Dale while the latter was holding on to Meliodas.
Regardless, I was addressing the first anon's intent. Even if they checked how Diane was, how would they find out that she forgot King? At the minimum, we can assume that they know Gowther was trying to incapacitate her during their fight, he'd do something that would impair her motor functions or ability to think (if he couldn't freeze her entirely like he did Guila and Zeal). They might know that he wanted to erase her memory of the situation with Guila, but that doesn't really give them any clues as to what else he could have changed in her memories.
Anyway. Enough about that. After doing some thinking, I've got an idea of why Gowther erased Diane's memory. He probably wants to check if the feelings of love she has for King can surpass her memories.
to be fair they each have their own groups, and the fact the only one everyone respects at the least is the captain, partially being the fact that he is horrifyingly strong, partially being the guy is actually decent to get along with when someone hasn't done anything bugfuck retarded and managed to somehow piss him off.
>Merlin acts very casual with everyone
>except Hawk which she always calls "Sir"
She probably knows the truth about Hawk and his reincarnations.
I will not be surprised if he was originally a warlock who created Gowther.
Just finished the chapter on batoto, couldn't believe the comments from people who were surprised by the Gowther plot twist, it seemed incredibly obvious from his actions and flat manner of speaking ever since his introduction.
Threader/10, maybe it's what >>121384004 said, he's just attracted to what is strong.
I still don't think King would go back to Dianne right away even after what Ban told him, he still have the drama in the fairy forest to deal with.
>King doesn't get his title back
>Diane forgot him and Gowther can't do nothing to help him because reasons
>King goes ballistic, joins force with some demons and destroy his forest
>this entire last chapter
>gowther confirmed to have fucked with dianes memories
>gowther confirmed for doll joints
>threader confirmed for next sin after someone inevitably bites the dust, as well as far less gay then previously thought.
>king confirmed for once again being the conductor of the suffering train.
this was a good chapter.
I'm not sure why people think he's in love with Merlin rather than just looking up to her. Haven't any of you ever seen the kind of relationship in manga or anime where one girl calls the other "onee-samaaaaaa" and really looks up to them (although, to be fair, that comes out a lot in yuri stuff)?
Which was him giving romance advice to her. That said, "swooning" for someone doesn't necessarily mean one is in love, given the context. The trope I mentioned, for example, usually has the girl swooning for their "onee-sama" (although to be fair, again, this shows up more often in yuri stuff; outside of that, it's for comedy and/or yuri stuff; really, it just comes up a lot in yuri, but let's ignore that for now).
>Hey, Captain~ Do you know "Why" you're throwing your life away~? (I definitely fuck up on this line, I'm not sure if he's asking if "Why you're throwing your life away" or "Have you ever wonder why you're throwing your life away")
>I don't want to get involve with a drunkard
>Hey~ Answer me seriously
>Alright, alright, what about you, Ban?
>No matter...what... I.'ll... her...
>I wonder... if she... wish for it aswell?
>I wonder...if she want to... aswell
>Hm~~ Hey you still haven't answered my question!! ...Well, what about Captain?
>What~? Tell me
>That's a n... well... to be frank, it's one extremely~~long story.
>Alright, good night
Can anyone double check the translation? I think I fucked up since Ban is speaking in a strange way and Rikaichan can't help.
He's a confirmed homo, first when he was seen hugging a macho guy while off-duty, and swooning along with the girls in the high school spin-off at the guys using super hair gel.
Goddammit. I wonder if Gowther can wake up and interact with other in doll form, might be pretty cute with Gowther standing on Threader's shoulder and directing him on enemy's weakness.
Well hopefully we'll get some old guy when Escanor get introduce in the main story, going to be interesting to see what he was doing during the whole story.
>Mini-Gowther riding on mini-Hawk
She may feel that she ought to be punished in SOME way (she doesn't feel any guilt over what she's done for Zeal, but given how she still loves her father very much, she might think that she should be ashamed for doing things her "kind" father would not have approved). She also seems to understand how he's, quite literally, heartless and that he was just trying to make her happier (and she was happier).
I am sure that by "staining" he meant smearing himself with HER lipstick, bombarding her with all corny lines from his romance novels 24 hours a day and making her forget about her precious otouto, that monster. What other atrocities could he possibly commit?
Well he compensate her with memory of her father, that's good enough.
Thank you very much.
inb4 it's his fat form but with wings
>2nd best girl
Though I guess I can understand liking the yandere. Good on you, anon, for realizing beauty is only skin deep.
They're meat eaters. They may not necessarily be 'malicious' creatures (probably not since Oslo is best friends with King, but who knows about other Black Hounds), but they are hunters. Oslo's favorite food is pig, after all.
In case you're being serious, he's just counting the members they officially still have with them. Gowther is out of commission and King is missing. Ban left the group, so he's not counted.
Did Ban officially say that? No he fucked off and King fucked off with him, that's why Mel said, we're down two members. Also he said that part with Gowther, but he said nothing that implys that he is talking about escanor. Also Mel never confirmed that Ban is officially out of the group.
I think both make a good point, but the attitude towards hawk it's more condescending than anything. Like that annoying person that you actually like and it's fun to have around.
Ban did give Mel advance notice that he'd be leaving. King's the one where they don't really know if he's still in the area or not.
But yeah, Escanor is completely forgotten tier.
>Did Ban officially say that?
Yes he did. Right before the celebrations and fireworks the kingdom was going to have. If you're going to use rhetoric to imply your scorn, at least make sure you've got the facts straight first.
He said they're down 2 members since 2 of them cannot participate. Ban has quit and Escanor is missing.
I've taken quite a few scans of the volumes and such thus far without unbinding them.
They're not quite the best quality, but they do their job. I just don't have a working scanner at my place.
>Yes he did.
Show me were he said he isn't part of the anymore SDS. he only said that he wants to leave the group, but the leader didn't confirm his betrayel/his spliting off yet.
>He said they're down 2 members since 2 of them cannot participate. Ban has quit and Escanor is missing.
Are you implying that Mel forgot King? It's obviously Escanor that no one gives a fuck about, because he is hulk tier
Honestly, I don't think Mel would count Escanor.
He hasn't been a part of the SDS since the coup, in a sense.
Like, they kinda broke up after that, and Escanor hasn't been seen since then.
Yes they do.
They indicate the preferred method of combat (magic or physical abilities) as well as how determined the other party is (spirit). Aside from that, they indicate whether they're faltering or getting strength from increased morale. Although, to be perfectly honest, the Sins are so strong that they can work up a strategy on the fly to defeat any such opponents. At least, so far. Who knows how serious Meliodas will have to treat the Commandments.
While Hawk's bit on power levels was a joke, it's just a continuation of a running gag where Hawk is shown up by the others and has his ego shattered. Byzel festival and its aftermath both have had this gag.
It could also be simultaneously be a satirical reference to power scouters, given its use in the story so far, it is a completely sincere mechanic within the story being used as its intended purpose of threat assessment (still a reference, though, just not ironic). That you are being so obtuse about it just shows how defensive you're being; you're too sensitive at the thought of random anons shitting down on you and a manga you like for using a trope that's unpopular on this board that you're blinding yourself and making believe that it is an irrelevant joke.
All that said, I was making a joke while giving out logical uses that information from attained power levels can give apart from "HOW STRONG IS THIS GUY", which is the usual tripe we get from other stories that have power levels like Dragon Ball or Toriko. I don't like power levels either, but I'm not going to go into denial as hard as you.
